It was getting within a week of the date and I still didn't get a confirmation. I called the place AT LEAST 12 times and sent 2 emails and still no response, because the mailbox was full and nobody ever answered the phone. Since I was bringing 8 people, I needed to confirm. So I drove to the place (which was supposed to be open, but was closed) and left a note, written on a napkin (saying PLEASE CALL AND CONFIRM) and placed it under a rock in front of the door. I spent at least an hour, if not more, trying to confirm this party. After the note, I finally got a phone call. NO APOLOGIES for the inconvenience were given. The person just said that there phones weren't working. Additionally, the painting instructor was very kind, but young and NOT VERY INSTRUCTIVE. She said, "Paint flowers at the bottom." Well, I want to know HOW to paint flowers! My painting looked like a 5 year old. When I went to another studio in Worthington about a year ago, I left with a beautiful painting because the instructor gave us all very detailed instructions and SHOWED us how to paint, instead of TELLING us what to paint. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

I went to their Grand Opening of their new building and the space, and it's fantastic! Ample space for several different glass art technique classes. The teachers I met are absolutely wonderful, too! Willing to help/guide if necessary, creative minds, and just plain genuine and personable. I got the chance to make a glass mosaic (think glass art to hand in a window) and a simple smoking pipe (torch melting glass and all!), and it was phenomenal! I'm seriously looking into taking a few classes; and, besides, I know my money is going to an excellent org that's promoting art, culture, and creative partnerships throughout central Ohio!

That was not the case with Escape It, which was very professional in terms of service (staff spoke with us on the phone ahead of time to determine which room was best for the girls' age group, and were friendly and helpful when we arrived), and quality of the room, its details and decor, its effects (surprise walls moving, etc). I went here as part of a company outing and ended up having a very frustrating experience. During…read moremy second race, I lightly hit the wall on a tight corner and immediately received a black flag. The staff then reduced my kart's power for "safety reasons" and never restored it for the remainder of the event. The problem is that there was no warning and no second chance. Other drivers were constantly passing me, and some even made contact with my kart while overtaking because I was suddenly much slower than everyone else. In my opinion, slowing one kart down while the rest of the field remains at full speed creates its own safety concerns. We paid for three races, but my third race felt like a complete waste of money because I was still restricted and couldn't enjoy the experience at all. Hitting the wall once should not result in losing full speed for the rest of the event without any opportunity to earn it back. If you're looking for a fun racing experience, I would recommend considering other options. The lack of flexibility and customer consideration made this not worth the money for me.

The service here has always been exceptional. Breakout along with other companies are moving away from the standard key and combo locks and integrating more "magic" as one of the hosts called it. More moving parts and ones that just open automatically when a puzzle is solved which is much more fun so if you haven't been in a while I'd say this is your cue to book a new room. My favorite room at this location was Do Not Disturb which doesn't exist in Ohio anymore but most recently we did Museum Heist. It was engaging with clues that could be solved by kids and adults. We had a party of five and made it out in time with our youngest player being 13. The clues are fun and challenging and the hints are given on a TV screen when you ask for them. I do prefer the ones where you can just speak to the host but these hints are specific to what you ask, you just may have to walk to the other room to see the TV. That is the only slightly negative thing I have to say because we love this company! If you've never been then this is a good place to start because they all seem passionate about escape rooms and making sure people enjoy it. They have snacks too, but we did not have any. The only questionable thing is having people use a metal mallet to stamp the metal pieces while drinking. The bartender was quick to give us menus then she didappeared. I know she was the one to bring pizzas from the kitchen out for pickup but I would have liked a little more attention. My husband finally asked her, while she was washing glasses down from us, if their mushrooms were fresh or canned (they are canned which I prefer.) But that question prompted her to ask if we were ready to order? Um yes. Our menus have been closed and our drinks are half gone. We are politely waiting for you. When the pizza arrived it looked fantastic but the crust was chewey and just off. The topping were fantastic we loved the sauce, pepperoni and canned mushrooms. I couldnt put my finger on what was wrong with the crust. It looked golden brown on the bottom but it was just off. My husband ate it and was happy. I was the only one questioning the crust. I think she checked on us once in passing. I know I asked for a refill for my empty glass of water. I set my credit card in front of me, pretty close to me ,- not pushed toward the bar tender. My goal was to signal "check please". She reached over and took the card without saying a word and ran it. Thankfully she gave us the bill with the slip to sign. We were billed correctly. I Signed the slip and we finally left to fix our plumbing issue at home.
