When it comes to getting teams and schedules sorted out they always make sure everyone is on the same page which is definitely a plus. However, they don't encourage booze during games - because we play in city parks and it's against city regulations, I know they can't really do anything about it. But beer sure does make games more fun! On the contrary, the DSSC sponsors other social-oriented activities (such as the beer olympics, pub crawls, happy hours, etc) so I know they're not COMPLETELY against booze. But another downside, their refs never seem to be happy to be at a game. Sometimes they have NO sense of humor which makes playing no fun at all! I also wish they had a national competition to strive for (WAKA has one in Las Vegas, for example), although we'd probably never make it that far. But a girl can dream, right?!

This company is horrible. No communication. I emailed 3…read moredifferent people on their website and got no response. They just took our money and said nothing. App is trash too. You have to go to the website to add a player to your team because there is no option to do so on the app. And why can't you see what teams are in the league before it starts ? How do I know if there are any teams in the league I chose ? I can understand the schedules not being published but simply seeing the other teams ? Is that so hard ? Ridiculous. Prices are high as well for no apparent reason. For what reason does softball cost $785?? And that's the EARLY BIRD . But it doesnt even matter because they tack on extra fees that still makes it $800+. $800+ and all we get is a t shirt ? Insanity. This league is pure bs, and I haven't even played a single game yet.

Truly gives players that MLB type of feel with the full layout, dug out included. Visitor seating is covered and comfortable. Would be nice to have some type of fans or even misters for a cool off vibe but just know to come prepared for the heat and you will be set. Although we were emailed about no outside food, drinks or coolers, know-one was checking this. We ended up bringing a cooler with drinks and our own snacks in case and took it out of the car and had no issues bringing it all to the stands. Day 2 we brought our wagon for easier transporting. It's hard not to bring food/drinks considering how hot it can get and then the duration of tournaments. The concession is located at lower level, below the visitor seating in the middle. Bathrooms are passed it if you are on the side closest to the main street area. The concessions have drinks, chips and candy. I normally take pricing pics but missed it this time around. I do remember the Gatorades were $3. Water and soft drinks I believe were $2. Bring your cool towels and/or portable fans. We also had a better chance of a breeze at times, taking some breaks behind the back row and handicapped seating areas.

The concession worker was also the field manager and had to close the stand several times a day. Bleacher seats are a nice thing but many are broken loose at the floor or are missing backs. The field is in great shape however and the kids had an absolutely awesome experience. You would think what they charge the teams to play there more could be done on upkeep. Maybe a modest gate charge would do it.

I've been going to this park for over 54 years. It is still as beautiful now as it was back then…read more It is an easy 7.5 mile walk from the house or 9 miles if I stick to the formal trails. My last three trips were for this year's Memorial Day activities in support of Carry the Load. This park comes to a new life when there is a large event such as the very noble Carry the Load. Reverchon's beautiful greenery, powerful oaks and gentle rolling meadows are accented with the dark reddish sandstone walls and structures that soothes the soul. It is almost like a slice of Eden.To see this impressive park comfort those grieving as they remember the fallen military, police, fire and other first responders validates its role as a magnanimous friend. It fosters the catharsis and healing needed by many. The trip up and down from the Katy trail (which is high above) can be as challenging as you want to achieve and as beautiful as you want to view. I like the winding stone steps. There are observation terraces, conversation pits, and nature everywhere. It is shielded by quiet Dallas high rises just far enough away. The quiet serenity at night is in contrast to its vibrant life during the day. It retains the natural attraction whether it is a hand full of park goers to over ten thousand. It's great for the dogs, kids and oldtimers like me. There are some sport facilities for the team sport athletes. And of course there are the trails. There is a lack of immediate parking which I think helps retain its natural beauty . There are lots and streets to park if you decide not to go on foot. The adjoining recreation center has all you could want or need. The food and drink options are not too far away and some are world renown. If you need mental cleansing or some quiet reflection, Reverchon Park is the place to stroll.
