The gate keepers are friendly and wave as you drive through. The staff somehow knows the names of all their guests and greet you by last name. It is very formal yet they treat you like family. The gym is clean and full of all the equipment you may need for a good workout. The locker rooms are fresh and clean and if you're lucky you can have your own assigned locker for an additional monthly fee. They offer a tennis member option and golf member option. My family were tennis members and after another year and some months, were able to move up to the golf membership. Both options give you full privileges to the pool membership. The families here are so friendly too. The kids have made great friends here. I feel safe to relax and not worry about the kids safety here at all. They have family fun events here often and we seem to spend a lot of time here.

Garage parking underground is a super nice perk for a rainy day. 5. Friendly staff (but that seems to be all YMCAs). Cons: 1. Shower situation was shockingly poorly planned, given that this entire building is relatively new construction. I guess showers don't need benches where you can put your stuff? In the women's locker room, people had pulled chairs over into the shower area to "solve" this problem, but it wasn't great. 2. For anyone who's uncomfortable in a public locker room for any particular reason (I can think of several), there are very few (only two) private shower/locker rooms available relative to my home YMCA, and they're labeled with rather unfriendly signs saying that you shouldn't use them unless you're a family or a disabled person.

The Picklr programming lineup offers open plays by skill level ($15 non member), a challenge court, as well as clinics and leagues. Recently my local LA Fitness closed, so this location has become the nearest option for a lot of…read morepeople. Because of that, it is definitely busier now, but overall the club has improved significantly after the reported $1 million renovation. There are a lot of positives here. The new equipment and machines are a major upgrade, the aesthetics are much better, and converting the old basketball court into an additional weight room was honestly a smart decision considering how crowded gyms get now. They also added Pilates classes and other premium features, which gives the club a more modern feel overall. The biggest issue is still the pool situation. While the pool itself is clean and maintained well, it is effectively unavailable from 4-7 PM every weekday because it is heavily used by a private children's swim club. For people who actually pay to use the gym and swim laps after work, that is frustrating. At minimum, they should reserve two lanes for the swim club and keep one dedicated lap lane open for adult members during those hours. A lap lane should be for lap swimming, not casual playing or groups standing around. The other issue is the plumbing and shower system. It is hard to understand how a club can spend that much money on renovations while still having such poor water pressure management in the locker room. Every time someone flushes a toilet, the shower pressure drops across all the showers at once. In a newly renovated club, that really should not be happening. Overall, though, it is still a solid gym with good equipment, a cleaner modern layout, and plenty of training options. If they fix the pool access situation and address the locker room plumbing issues, it would be an excellent location.
