There's representation from Coke to Pepsi, but even further down the list, including my favorite miss from so long ago, Tab. This appears to be a labor of love, with a very present owner/custor who offered to answer questions and showed off some recent acquisitions. They have a selection of international sodas downstairs and perhaps upstairs as well at the bar. We enjoyed the all you can play arcade, and trying some exotic sodas from afar. The music harkened from the heyday of the arcade parlor and definitely felt like a journey to another time. And they had my favorite from yesteryear.... Joust!

Kid and teenager me would have loved it... the sarcastic 10 year old wanted board games to improve her experience. After considering- I agreed. I would add some chess and checker boards and a few other board games. Or a few Atari games... The epitome was the McDonald's $1 double cheeseburger sign. I asked to order it: they didn't have cheeseburgers, all things are more expensive and everything is not as healthy. I am not wishing for cocaine Coca-Cola or other "medicine" in Dr Pepper. $1.50 for a can of soda is a big jump for a corn syrup from the nickel advertising of a sugar sweet memory. The epitome of the place was playing shuffleboard with the 10 year old. I was trying to play with a sense of touch. She was playing with the idea of creating a highlight reel of knocking my pieces off. I beat her because the idea of the game escaped her. To look back at Asteroids was a shock. Realized that it was just black and white, 2 dimensional game with only a few buttons to control it. Overall I walked still a fan of the glossed over experience. I remember being a broke kid wanting to play unrealistic games to escape from reality. Now I wish for the sugar rush I used to have.

Went out there with a friend months before the mall closed to see everything still in there but closed. Neighbors in the mall said they opened when they felt like it. The Neutral Zone is located inside Chesterfield Mall. If you are not familiar with the mall, it's important to know that it no longer functions as a typical mall. There are a few businesses still there, mostly providing entertainment (movie theater, pickle ball, The Neutral Zone, etc.), but besides the Cheesecake Factory, you will not have other places to grab food, etc. while there. We arrived to the Neutral Zone, gave our voucher info at the front desk, and headed into the arcade. There are several retro games there to play (Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Frogger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, racing games, Dance Dance Revolution, and more) as well as two skee ball lanes (only one was working at the time). My husband and I enjoyed playing some games from our childhood and competing with each other to see who could remember how to play what. :) We enjoyed ourselves while there and played all the games we wanted to, but we didn't stay more than an hour to an hour and a half at most -- which was fine with us, but if you were paying full price ($19.95) it would have been disappointing. All in all, I found it to be a fun evening but not something we would probably return to very often. For the retro gamers out there, check them out -- or give them a go for something different to do with your significant other.

Kai was our birthday host and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient taking on a party of 12 active boys. He kept them smiling, entertained and under control. Kudos to him for that alone:) Inez was our server and she was very friendly, and helpful with the ordering of our food. I will always come here for my kids and grandkids entertainment fun.

Unfortunately, we will not be returning. While recording my 8-year-old on the zip line, a teenager told their mother we were recording her instead. The mother immediately came up and started yelling at us. I calmly explained that we were only recording our own child, and even offered to get a manager involved. Things escalated quickly when the mom brought her entire family over, threatening to "fight me" -- and I'm currently 8 months pregnant. I repeatedly told her no one was recording her daughter, and when the managers (Carla -- a tall brunette -- and another female manager) came over, I even handed them my phone to show the video for proof. The managers confirmed the misunderstanding, tried to reason with the mother, and ultimately told us she was very rude and kept interrupting them. I want to note that both managers were very kind and handled a tense situation as best they could. That being said, if this is the type of crowd Main Event attracts, I will be avoiding this location in the future.

The layout was a bit confusing: some of us wanted to play games, so they used the kiosk to do games and food, but other than that, there wasn't a host anywhere until you walked through the building. It was odd. So, we walked to the game area and was told to go to the "restaurant" area host...which was easier said than done. Anyway, we figured out which person was the host and was seated. First off, our waiter was great: attentive, helpful, and funny. He was also very honest, which is refreshing for people like us. My fiance and I ordered the pretzels for an appetizer, and they were so hot and awesome. Like, I could've easily eaten just that for dinner! My fiance ordered the five cheese flatbread, and it was rather bland. It really wasn't very warm, either. I ordered the black bean burger with regular fries, and neither were warm at all. We had waited quite awhile, so it really wasn't going to work sending it back. We just ate it even faster since it was basically room temperature. I can say thw black bean burger had a great flavor, as did the BBQ sauce I ordered on the side. The fries, however, were bland and just didn't feel fully cooked, if that makes sense. Just very boring. We walked around the game room, and if we come back, it'll be for the games. The food was good, but I'm really not a huge fan of cold food when it should be warm. I'm pretty happy the pretzels were on point though!
