My fiance and I met some family here for dinner, which was decided for the games to keep a child entertained (smart, right?). The layout was a bit confusing: some of us wanted to play games, so they used the kiosk to do games and food, but other than that, there wasn't a host anywhere until you walked through the building. It was odd. So, we walked to the game area and was told to go to the "restaurant" area host...which was easier said than done. Anyway, we figured out which person was the host and was seated. First off, our waiter was great: attentive, helpful, and funny. He was also very honest, which is refreshing for people like us. My fiance and I ordered the pretzels for an appetizer, and they were so hot and awesome. Like, I could've easily eaten just that for dinner! My fiance ordered the five cheese flatbread, and it was rather bland. It really wasn't very warm, either. I ordered the black bean burger with regular fries, and neither were warm at all. We had waited quite awhile, so it really wasn't going to work sending it back. We just ate it even faster since it was basically room temperature. I can say thw black bean burger had a great flavor, as did the BBQ sauce I ordered on the side. The fries, however, were bland and just didn't feel fully cooked, if that makes sense. Just very boring. We walked around the game room, and if we come back, it'll be for the games. The food was good, but I'm really not a huge fan of cold food when it should be warm. I had lots of fun here! It was my first time at Dave and busters and I wasn't disappointed. I came prepared to spend a lot of money because I knew it was expensive going in. I ultimately decided on the eat and play deal which I think was $60 for unlimited play for 90 mins and a select menu for food. I was happy with the amount of play time and the chicken tenders and fries were super delicious! I also got several strawberry margaritas and they were so so good. I haven't been here in years and this used to be my go to spot for happy hour. We had a few pre-teens with us and decided to grab some dinner and play games. Upon arriving on a Saturday night, it was packed. I think they had an event that evening as well but the parking lot and entrance area was full (thank goodness they have a large lot. They need it). We kept out game cards from years ago and just reloaded them at the self service machine. Then we put out name down to eat in the front area. I wish I had taken more pictures. They really upgraded this place. Lots of cool tables and it's It is very kid friendly (for 7+ I'd say). Lots of fun games for the kids to play and they have a bar and eating area in the game room as well. The drinks were pretty good. Nice bar specials too. The food was decent. My work had a function that took me here. I've heard of D&B, of course but haven't had the opportunity to come in until the event. We had a private room with a bar and food set up in a buffet style. The room was huge, set up nicely with tables and chairs and accommodated the large group well. The staff were very attentive. I barely sat down when someone came and took my drink order. The food was your typical bar type of food. Pizza, chicken fingers, pigs in a blanket, pretzels and the like. The games area was huge and with plenty to choose from. We had some game cards that came with our team event and it was a blast trying out a lot of their games and choosing a prize later with my hard earned tickets/points. I might sound old or inexperienced when it comes to arcade places these days, but I do love that the points are now tracked via the card used to pay to play the games. Saved me from carrying around tickets and counting them on the counter. Overall, my first visit at a Dave & Buster's was a fun one. It's a place the entire family can enjoy however be aware they are terribly understaffed so if you visit on a Friday or Saturday night there may be a wait to be seated, to eat and to drink. It's also a popular spot for the teenage crowd to visit with limited to no parental supervision so the arcade area is also very busy. If you don't want to have to wait, I suggest visiting during the week. We recently visited for a birthday celebration and the pitcher was delicious. You buy game cards at the entrance and then use them without. Our party purchased cards and ventured to the back to play games. I like that they have a bar and table service in the game area. They also have employees walking around selling shots so its a party vibe. The games all worked well and everyone had a good time. You win tickets on the games and can redeem them at the prize area. The prize area has a good variety and lots to choose from. The employees working that area were very friendly and even went to the warehouse to get an additional prize they thought one of our friends might like! I also thought it was cool that you can redeem tickets for food there. As far as food there is opportunity for improvement here. We had a party of 12 and wanted to sit in the play area so people could play games while we waited etc. They advised that they couldn't accommodate that and advised we go up front and get a table there. We did and there was no wait which was nice... except we sat that more than 10 minutes and no one checked on us or even took a drink order. We waved someone down and asked if we could get help. It was another 5+ minutes before anyone came over. This is the kind of service we received the whole dinner... irritating. I did order the aloha chicken and the flavor was so good! Excited to see that this place has gotten a face-lift. It's Christmas Eve and looking for something fun with food landed us here. Arrival around 3:30p, they were open until 6p. Dinner first in the open dining area complete with large tvs, booths and tables. Plenty of seating to accommodate large groups. Chicken Nachos were very tasty, great flavor. This size is large enough for 4 as an appetizer or ample for 1 person as a meal. Order extra queso. I opted not to have a meal, but instead ordered 2 sides, the roasted cauliflower and the cheese sticks. Yes, a little disconnected. Cauliflower was a bit small for the serving size, but had a nice flavor. Mozzarella Sticks had awesome cheese pull effect and thick in size. After eating, headed into the gaming area where many of the games have been refreshed. Tons of interactive game options that can really get you moving and active. Wear tennis shoes! They were super crowded when we got there and we were told there would be a 1-2 hour wait for the table but we actually got one in like 30 mins which wasn't too bad!! While waiting we sat at the bar and ordered apps and a couple drinks. By the time our apps came the table was ready which worked out perfectly. What a surprise! Since I never celebrate my birthday here, my friends decided on a late- impromptu get together at Dave & Busters. I was excited but wasn't sure what to expect since it had been a few years since I had been here. While waiting for our entire party to arrive, those that were there decided to wait at the bar. I got the mango berry bull to start which was so flipping good. While it is a vodka based drink, the accompanying ingredients made it invisible to the taste (good but probably dangerous). The purées of mango and passion fruit made the drink burst with flavor. It was beyond refreshing and oh so good. I know I said I was going to try and cut down on the sweet & sugary drinks but I guess I'm not ready yet! Once everyone had arrived and got settled, we decided to just stay at the bar. For dinner, I got the fire- grilled Atlantic salmon. I tried to prep myself for the potential spices I thought I'd incur as the salmon was listed as having Louisiana spices and Cajun butter. What a relief when it came out only to have just the butter and little to no seasoning! Crisis averted! The salmon was cooked to perfection and was delectable! The jasmine rice that it came with wasn't anything special but was a nice addition to the fish. While the dish came with green beans, the server let me sub a side Caesar salad in lieu of them. The salad was delicious and ended up being a great substitution. Overall, the service was pretty good. We then made our way to the arcade, and this is where I saw the most changes. First, they no longer have tickets. They did the last time I was there, so this should tell you how long its been. When you get a playing card, the "tickets" you win are now placed on the playing card. It seems like a great way to save paper and have everything all in one place. Second, the games. There's a ton of games and so much space, so it's easy to get lost. To sum it up, I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food, and the ease of being able to maneuver the arcade on a Saturday night during peak hours. I organized a corporate event at this location and would recommend them without reservation. The food was fantastic. The chicken legs and thighs were really delicious. The pork ribs melted off the bones. The cauliflower fajitas satisfied my Hindi colleagues who are eating vegetarian that day. We also went through a full tray that needed to be replaced, which meant are non-vegetarian colleagues found this dish to be quite satisfying. They were not relegated to only side dishes. That's right folks, you can reach out to the event coordinators and make a substitution if you have colleagues who have eating preference and/ or needs. This is a great divergence from my other impressions of Dave & Buster's. As an individual or small party, the food is rather unimpressive. But if you have a corporate event and order a catering service, the food is surprisingly good. When you book corporate events that achieve certain levels, you can buy play cards and get more money on the play cards than what you paid depending on the spend levels so check with them on that. The play cards were handed over to the company which we distributed, and the employees very much enjoyed themselves. They raced cars, motorcycles, relived pong, played invigorating rounds of air hockey, waged war on the terminators, remembered skeet ball, and more. Our USA colleagues were able to share memories of their childhood for those who did not grow up in the USA and show them why the game had meaning I would say they should put more staff on a group of 50 people, and the only complaint I received is that with only one person serving drinks to a group of 50, it was a very slow order to drink in hand process. We could've distributed tickets where people could've walked up to the bar, but we were trying to not make it feel punitive. That being said, I didn't downgrade them in stars because we called them three days before we wanted to have our event at their location and that does make it difficult to acquire adequate staff. I do think Dave & Buster's the corporation could invest in some technology, or use free existing and simple public sourced QR codes that could allow you to send your drinks to the bar directly, expediting this process. It's common technology leveraged in airports and many other establishments. It makes it easy to tell what tables ordered what and if you have relegated a party to a certain amount of tables, this should be quite easy. Dave & Buster's needs to catch up. Many restaurants have surpassed them in digital ordering technology. This is not a failing of the St. Louis Missouri location as individual locations have no control over the corporate vision and strategy. The corporation needs to think about how to make it easy for their customers to increase traffic in their business. At present, you can add your physical card to your app, but you can't use your phone to tap and play. Most businesses worth their salt have a tap and play or tap and Go option. It's Time Dave & Buster's caught up. read more

I bought the 90 minute all you can play card and half the games were either non-responsive to scanning the card, or the games were glitchy upon playing them. The worst part is the 30 second cooldown between games so if you scan a broken game, then you waste your time waiting for the cooldown to try another game. Last time I came here was 5 years ago. Some things have changed. We came here for a company event on a friday night. Bartenders by the private area were helpful. Service was fast. Bourbon milkshake is an interesting cocktail. I recommend trying. We had power cards from the event. So we went and wanted to check out the arcade game area. This place is huge and it was jam packed. Only 1-2 bartenders were at the big bar, service was slow. Some games were not working properly, there was "call attendant" message on the screens. It happened while playing, in the mid of the games. And we tried to find them but there was no attendant around. Be ready to lose credits in your power cards. They may not come fix the games. Games are not cheap btw, esp. good ones. They changed their game inventory since 2018. I remember it was fun being here. But not the same anymore. If you are good enough at some games, you win tickets from the machines, they automatically loads into your power card, so you can buy something from their store. The company I work for rented out the whole place last night for our company event! They have a big bar area with huge TVs to watch sports while dining and the gaming area is through the hallway on the other side of the building. The food was good and all staff was friendly and helpful. They have a few classic games like skee ball and a modernized PacMan. Tons of fun shooter games, basketball shooting games and games focused more to kids like claw and Cut the Rope. It's one of those rare spots that is fun for kids and adults! read more

Dave and Busters has really stepped their game up. The last time I went was about 20 years ago. This placed has changed so much. The food menu was great the drink menu was great and the games were great. The service was okay, we did have to get our own napkins because the server didn't bring us any when he brought our food even after we asked for them,other than that he did his job well. The ambiance at the time I went which was 5:30pm was very much enjoyable, it was just the right about of people not empty and not overly crowded either. This place is enjoyable for all ages if you like to eat, drink and play video games. The price I guess I can say is fair price to play games. I purchased a playing card for 33.00 dollars and I feel as though I played a fair share of games. They have a few bars, a party area and an area if you want to just come and come and maybe watch sports and they also have a deal of all you can eat chicken wings for 23.99 on Mondays and Thursday the days that football games are playing. Therefore, we left after about 15 minutes during halftime to watch the second half at another location. Prior to being seated we asked the pricing for shuffleboard and were told they didn't have enough staff members to open shuffle board. Place was busy. Review Visit: August 8th, 2013 Dave & Buster's offers Food & Fun. After a whirlwind day of eating lunch at Fuddrucker's and riding roller coasters at Six Flags, we decided to end at Dave & Buster's. Now, this isn't my first time visiting a Dave & Buster's so I am all too familiar with how they work. This was my first time visiting this one, so I will be doing a blog post for this specific location. If you've never been to a Dave & Buster's, let me explain how it operates. Ever been to or are you familiar with Chuck E Cheese or GameWorks? If so, this operates exactly the same. If you have not, think of D&B as an adult-version of Chuck E Cheese. Yep, that's right... a place where an adult can be a kid. That doesn't mean you have to be 21+ to visit. That just means you should expect a crowd that is geared more towards those who can buy alcohol. Upon arrival, you will make your way in and figure out what you want to do. Eat? They got it. Game? They got that, too. If you want food, you can head over to the dining area and get some good food. The prices are a bit high and that is somewhat reflected in the quality. While not as good as a steakhouse, it is better than your average chain restaurant. I remember ordering a Jack Daniel's Strip Steak and thinking the flavor was delicious but only a very very very subtle hint of the Jack. The steak itself was delicious and barely needed any A-1 sauce to enhance the flavor. I don't remember what my friends got but I know we all needed to fuel up after all afternoon riding rides. In order to play games here, you need to get a player's card. This can be done simply at the card counter. You pick from a list of options and they will load that many coins on your card. The more expensive options entice you with bonus coins. I like to tell people that in order to fully have a good time at a place like this, you have to spend close to $50 for maximum enjoyment. But if you are frugal with your coins, you can get by on $20 if you play the cheaper games. Okay, so you got your card loaded up with virtual coins. Great! It's game time. Unlike the days of old, you no longer need to tote around a bucket of coins and will swipe your card at any machine to play it. The little reader will display how many coins are needed to play that particular game. After you swipe, it will display your remaining balance. Does that balance say '0' and you want to keep gaming? Luckily, you have a card already so you can use the kiosks throughout the place to reload said card. Once you are topped off, you may resume gaming to your heart's (balance's) content. You can also add coins to your card while ordering food. Well, you could back in the but I am not sure if that is still an option all these years later. Are you done gaming and need to spend those fun-earned tickets? Head on over to the Gift Shop where you can look at all the super cheap candy, D&B-branded items and overpriced electronics. The cashier can tell you what your total is should you not know. Once you got your goodies and you check out, you are free to go home and reminisce on the awesome games you played while going in to a sugar crash from the cheap candy you walked away with. I know this post was more of a walk-through on how Dave & Buster's works but it is also how our day went. We ate, played a ton of games, had a lot of fun, and then ate too much candy. I loved Chuck E Cheese as a kid, so I naturally love any place that is similar in concept. We were here to celebrate my aunt's 83 surprise birthday party. There are so many things to do. The energy there is very exciting. The party room was spacious. We had our own server. She did an awesome job with us. The food was served buffet style. What I tried was excellent. I had the salad with berries with vinegarette dressing. Chicken legs and thigh were my protein. It was delicious . My aunt loved the place. She said she wanted to celebrate her next birthday there as well. We all had a wonderful time. A gratuity was added to my drink ticket because of the party size. I didn't believe that it was enough. So I gave more. I almost forgot my drink was superb. I ordered the perfect pink patron. i made a table reservation for me and my boyfriend 6:30 on a tuesday night. we walk in there's no one there. after 5 minutes someone comes to help us and get us seated. then we wait another 5 minutes just for someone to come ask if we have been helped yet. 10 minutes for us to get a drink. another 15 for food. no one was in the restaurant part keep in mind. our server only came to the table twice. food was horrible. once the server brought the check it was $40 for 2 things of chicken fingers with fries. took 15 minutes just for a person who wasn't our server to grab the bill and card and then came back 5 minutes later. i gave my server a $2 tip for the 2 times i saw her. do not eat here. the games were amazing though!! read more

I made reservations for my bday dinner with my out of town guests. The reservations were for 4:30 on Saturday. The person that checked us in was rude and rudely said wait here. There were tons of open tables but ours was filthy and not ready. When we finally got seated the table and chairs were still dirty. Then it took forever to get even a water. The servers finally came after about 15 min and stood behind each of us and acted bothered and were rude. I had to tell the server 5 times the salad I wanted and she kept rudely saying so you want this salad I stated 5 times no this salad finally my husband said no she wants this one. The food was horrible and the service was just as bad. Thank goodness for the games. We will never go back and really upset I spent that money for food.
