There are multiple floors and rooms and just when you think you've seen all of it another floor or room will pop up. We thought we had seen everything and then realized we missed two whole floors! Walked to the museum (about half a block) and the line was through the parking lot. I had not purchased tickets online because they charged a $8 convenience fee. Paid $68 ($62+$6 tax) ($23 per ticket for admission and $8 per person rooftop add on) for one adult and one kid ticket (there is no difference in price) with the roof top add on. They give you a wristband to wear which is nice that you can leave and come back. We left to go grab lunch nearby and were able to exit and re-enter easily. Got inside and had to use the restroom. Restrooms are old, run down, some stalls were out of service, paper towels were out, toilet paper out. I saw the restroom being serviced several times but it always seemed to be out of something. My kid had fun but there were areas they were not allowed to access due to not having a flashlight. Kidlet wanted me to buy one but we had no room to pack it. They could benefit from having a flashlight rental program for people traveling. Lots of kids wearing knee pads but my child did not particularly care they did not have them, they just wanted a light. Line to get on elevator to go to roof was long and hot. Roof was hot and there is not a lot of shade. It was cool views and photo ops if you are into that. I wanted to ride the ferris wheel but it was too hot to be out in the sun. Took the stairs back down. I was surprised I kept seeing it was in a 10 story building but there are only 3-4 floors you can access plus the roof. Due to the way it is laid out there are bottle necks that gather and make it hard to maneuver in some places. The restroom entrance is near the gift shop entrance (which is also where you exit) and people were just standing there so it was difficult to get through. Maneuvering the stairs was difficult as well as people did not keep one side open for going up and one for going down, taking up the whole stairway so you had to wait. Overall this was a way to kill some time before going to the airport. Kidlet had fun and they are the target demographic but I would not go back.

But fine art is not taken seriously at this venue. Its reputation among true artists is not good. The fair is organized by the Greater St. Louis Art Association. Their members always seem to be juried into the show, regardless of their level of professionalism or artistic ability. Some repeat artists really need to retire. But I guess when your friends are jurying and they know your work, you're a shoo-in. Unfortunately this makes the fair look pretty much the same every year - rather, twice every year. Members of GSLAA are also eligible for awards which their organization gives out! So we have friends choosing which of their friends get the ribbons hanging in their booth. Television spot promoting the fair? That will likely feature GSLAA members as well. The fair caters to the mainly white, middle-class-to-affluent crowd of West County. Not a lot of diversity or challenging artwork in the house. Organizers don't seem really computer-savvy. They don't take advantage of social media to promote the show, and their website has room for improvement. I recommend skipping this fair, having a nice walk in the park instead.

Three Squirrels Winery was there and we got to sample some wines, along with drinking a glass or two, The sweet Nutty Red was good and we got a bottle to go. The atmosphere was very laid back with music playing making it a very relaxing evening. It was not over crowded, but just right. There was plenty of room between each isle for easy maneuvering.

The 1937 730cc Nimbus was manufactured in Denmark by Fisker & Nielsen in Copenhagen and the Model C was the first bike in history equipped with a telescopic front fork. The engine has many similarities to an automobile engine, including a distributor for firing the spark plugs, a cast iron exhaust manifold, an oil pan and overheard cam shaft, with exposed valves. There was an interesting wooden motorcycle, a 1955 Bergmeister 350cc made in Germany, 1928 Kaffeemuhle 185cc made in Germany, 1953 MB 250250S 250cc also from Germany. There was also enough room for setting up a food station. There were also drinks available the evening I was there- local beer from a keg, specialty cocktail of the evening, or soda. The building is obviously very old, but the interior seems very well kept. Seems like it was many buildings that have been converted into one- remember to look up while inside to see the unique architecture making up the roof/ceiling! There were some local kids running around the place, eating pizza, and playing games during the networking event. They were welcomed with open arms by the folks running the event. That just shows how awesome the owners are- welcoming everyone and really becoming a part of the community.

If you decide to lay on mats you can bring pillows and blankets for the full experience. Light snacks and beverages are available for purchase. A gift shop is also available to purchase your memorabilia. Pretty pricey. Staff were friendly.
