GameStop sells advertised new Xbox games and instead sends opened clearance items. On new unopened games, they say they are returnable to stores, but the stores are not able to refund back as items are purchased on PayPal credit. When I went to a local store to get refunded for the new but opened games and the sealed new game, the clerk called the manager, who said OK to issue the refunds on my three items, until the clerk called back and told they were purchased with PayPal credit, for which the returns and refunds were then denied by the manager of the local store. When I called customer service, the agent said the computer was slow and after waiting about ten minutes, he hung up on me. read more

Been apart of their rewards program for almost 20 years. I had $75 in points saved up there towards a purchase I was eventually going to make. Do not by used games from them. They do not gaurentee any DLC packs with used game and charging same price for DLC upgrade version. Will never happen again. Lesson learned my used game shopping will be done at amazon for now. read more

Same price for games that you will pay anywhere else, usually has game bonus offered with the big game releases. I dont like the fact that they only offer you like $9 or less on a game that costed $60. I remember when Nintendo game use to cost $19.99, I just keep the games rather than trade them in so I dont feel like I got slapped in the face. read more

First off I'm not much of what people would call a gamer but I my little brothers B-day was 2 weeks away and I wanted to get him a game. I went in and looked for the game he wanted but could only find it for the Xbox. I tryed to get help but the 1 of the guys working was on his cell phone and the other was talking with a friend about some party they had gone to and was joking about Banging some chick. Well at this point I went over to Wal-mart and found what I needed. Even with having to track somone down to open the glass case it was still faster then dealing with the idiots working at Gamestop. I pre-ordered 2 Pokemon games. Each game comes with a Pokemon figure for the pre-order. Went to pick them up the day it was released and they wouldn't give me the figures because they were not given enough from the supplier. WTH? Tell that to my 10 year old. They told me to call back in a few days since they never have 100% pick up and they were only giving them to the people that order on the 1st day of the pre-order. If this happens all the time they should tell you at pre-order. Called tonight no extra figurines and the games are in stock. read more

If you love sub-par service served by socially insecure people this is the place for you. I've never got a good vibe from this place workers aren't exactly rude, but definitely not happy to be selling games wich doesn't make sense to me being a gamer; the female who works here especially. Along with the ocassional running out of pre-order items which is completely unacceptable considering they have the number of pre-orders in their system; how about sending that many items to the store? When it comes to trading in games never expect to get more than 40% of its original cost at most, but that's and issue with the company as a whole. In the end it's, a Gamestop you can't expect much, common sense sometimes slips through the cracks, but they're the only buy sell trade in the area. If you don't mind a drive, Fallout games is 100% a better option in Tempe. read more

The product here is good but the customer service is horrible. I went in and an employee by the name of "Wendi" gave me the worst attitude. I don't know if she's the General Manager there or what but who ever hired her needs to reevaluate their decision. She rolled her eyes at me and snatched my id from my hands. I walked out of the store and came back 15 minutes later with my receipt and game and hand and I demanded my money back. She was much nicer this time around knowing I was upset with her attitude.
