I was with my friends and I had to use the restroom and I asked the cashier and he was on his phone and told me there was no bathrooms. I then asked him where the nearest bathroom was and he looked at me and just shrugged at me. Well come to find out my friend also needed to go and he went to the back and saw the public bathroom. In the back, on this particular evening, was a gaming competition between a number of probably very good gamers. An announcer calling out the next player and a display of brackets for the competitors. Gaming Zone seems like a very cool gaming store with all sorts of new games and old games for sale. Saw some super old Super Nintendo games for sale. I don't know if they were overpriced or not, but I just thought if I ever need any old games, I can come here. There are even arcade games for you to play in the back too. I think I prefer this to a Gamestop but this is only one location while you can find a Gamestop almost anywhere. read more

I live close by, so thank my lucky stars! I wouldn't mind setting up shop in the gaming area and living out the rest of my days only sleeping, eating, and gaming. The place is totally air conditioned, no windows, has flat screen tv's and consoles, comfy chairs, what more could you ask for? However, since I have a life (is a life without gaming, really a life I want to live??), I can only make it in here sporadically. Don't even get me started on the customer service, which is hands down, the friendliest customer service I have ever experienced this side of the desert, including Las Vegas. Here we were, chatting up the shop clerk, when lo and behold I find me a copy of Vampire Hunter D. Now I know the game is kinda crappy, but I had to have it for my collection of rarities. First time at the store. Had nice selection of retro games. At check out employee could not find one of the games I wanted (there were 2 boxes of the game on the shelf). Then one of the game I wanted was marked 1.99 on the shelf (3 copies on shelf ). He said oh this game is 4.99. He would not honor the 1.99 price shown on the game. Very cool store. They have everything game stop has, but more. And most stuff was even cheaper. They have a huge gaming lounge in the back with TVs and tables. I saw you can even rent it out for a party. When we went in they were about to have a Pokémon tournament. Would highly recommend! read more

We had to kill some time so we decided to check this place out! They have an arcade room you can play old school games for a small fee. My son was so stoked! The have very clean bathrooms availiable and they also have drinks to sell or if you have a water bottle, the have a fountain that fills bottles up! The gentleman here was very polite and nice! They even have a game room in the back that lets you try out new consoles and games. This is how arcade stores should be. I recently started to really get back in to gaming and have been online looking around a lot. I've also visited other stores that buy and sell used games. This place is by far the best. They give you decent prices for your used games and have used copies for sale that are better than almost anywhere else, including eBay and craigslist. I'm excited to try out the game room. I got a free membership which gives you 10% off one purchase a month and a free hour of gaming per month as well. I'm glad this place is so close to where I work. Don't trade your games here. We brought in one of my favorite N64 games (Majora's Mask Gold) and they busted it. Unscrewed the back and now it's cracked. Was almost in tears this morning seeing it. We went to go trade in what we had left to Another game store today and they offered more than double what this shop did. I was appalled, and frankly so was the manager of this game shop. He couldn't believe they offered such a low amount AND destroyed our cartridge without even saying anything. They wouldn't do the update on our Xbox either that we were trying to trade in. Absolutely ridiculous and heinous trading prices. If you're expecting better service than GameStop or other gaming stores do not go here or you will be sorely disappointed. I went to this store yesterday to sell a working condition PS4. I called over the phone in the afternoon and spoke to Hunter to see how much the store was willing to pay for my console and games. I was told that prices are not discussed over the phone and that I had to drive to the store to discuss pricing. I was taken back by this but I was willing to drive from Gilbert to Tempe on the chance that maybe these guys were better than GameStop. The PS4 with all wires except for the charging cable for the controller. I even brought five games. Those games are Fallout 4, Battlefield 1, Grand Theft Auto 5, The Last of US Remastered, and Metal Gear Solid 5. I said hello to the associate working and told him that I had called earlier. He told me that he had been told about my call and before we even tested the system and before I showed him my games he said all they could do was 80 dollars and that the price was firm. I had all of the hardware for the system except a charging cable and five blockbuster games and they tell me that they can only do eighty dollars. Console bundles like these regularly go for 300 or 250 on Craigslist and GameStop takes the system alone for 150 dollars. I don't know if Hunter thinks life works like pawn stars or gets off on ripping people off but this is ridiculous. read more

This is the best place for video games in the valley for several reasons. First off, they work hard to keep their shelves stocked full of good games. A lot of stores just rely on random trades, and eventually become barren deserts of bad games. These guys on the other hand understand the importance of having games that you actually want to buy. Second, you can rent a game in the game lounge, so even if you don't have the money to buy something you can still have a lot of fun. This is important for broke kids, and people who like to try before they buy. Lastly, these guys have a Neo Geo MAME, which lets you play hundreds of awesome arcade games. Edit: Oh yeah, they also are very good at keeping their games in alphabetical order. Nothing is more annoying than going into a game shop and not being able to find what you are looking for under the piles of games. read more

Sorry Will not be going there called about a turbo Graphix 16{ TG 16 } and staff actually told me they do not carry that as it is older than a NES !?!?!?! The Tg16 was released August of 1989 and NES was released in 1985. I can not in good faith recommend this Store that is supposed to carry retro games. I understand a TG16 is a rarer system but every other store i have been to in my life has at least had knowledge of the TG16. When the staff is this under educated in what they are supposed to sell i will not be able to trust them sorry! read more

This place is AWE-SOME for gaming geeks like me! Right when you walk in they have the classic arcade The House of the Dead, it is so much fun. I was surprised to see that they had a game lounge including a clothing line. That is plus. Even though I did not buy anything the first time I went the second time I took my time to look through the games they offer.
