The dude and I came to this Game Stop on 06/05/21 the dude wanted to come here before we got Mexican ice cream next door to check out the new games and items they have inside. We were instantly greeted by staff. There was actually quite a few people inside. I am more of a PC gamer if I play video games but Game Stop no longer sells PC games which it's been many many years. So I mostly just look around checking out the gear and POP heads. I randomly stumbled upon Coney and Brown Bear which I totally lost my Princess cool immediately!! I called the dude over and he was happy and surprised that Game Stop gas line friends products. I told the dude I wasn't leaving the store without them as WE collect them. The dude didn't get anything this time but we did check out Switch Games as we sometimes as a couple play together but mostly he plays the Switch. Overall, I was so happy to take my two favorite line friends couple home and building my collection! Definitely a fun experience! read more

Went there to buy a $25 game card simple right? WRONG. Charged my debit card then said the game card was defective and wouldn't activate he also said sometimes that happens. Ignoring my question about how long it would take to be put back on finally said 2 or 3 days. Ok well naturally I thought he'd get another card that worked since he took my money off my debit card. He said no unless I put my card through again to purchase it , yeah right! No I'm sorry that happened nothing, no making it right. I consider GameStop nothing but thieves! This location is a joke. We called Saturday night and asked about trading in an Xbox towards the purchase of a PS5. We were told no problem to bring it in. We told them we would come in tomorrow as it was already 6pm. We went in today (Sunday) a little after they opened at 12pm. When we arrived the worker asked what we wanted to do. We told him we were there to trade in our Xbox for a PS5. He immediately said we don't do trade ins on Sundays. He said there is an ordinance in Fresno that does not allow them to accept trades. We live over 30 minutes away. Why weren't we made aware of this Saturday night when we called and told him we were coming in Sunday? The associate was very rude when I asked him that question. He pretty much said what do you want me to do? I can't do anything for you. He said we can go to Clovis (10 mins away) to do a trade in. I called the location at Sierra Vista Mall the associate there pretty much said, "We are in a mall, so we will be busy, I recommend you take it to the location on Herndon and Willow". At this point, I was upset. I felt like nobody wanted to help us. I called the location on Willow and Herndon and they said bring it in. We took it there and finally got somewhat decent service. If you want to be treated rude and not be helped what so ever don't go to this location on 1st and Shields. If you don't like your job, you should find another one. A simple sorry goes a long way. Someone needs to put these associates through a customer service crash course. I will not be returning to this location and will be escalating my concern to corporate. Stay away everyone! They will refuse service and treat you like crap. We dropped over $700 in Clovis. Take notes of the Willow location. They can teach you a lot. read more

Ok, I want to say that the new manager's name is Molly. She is super-helpful and took this underperforming store and has made it a pleasant experience. She is knowledgeable about the products. For example, she warned me about buying the Madden that didn't have franchise mode. She is patient with my stupid questions and really helped me when I traded in my 360 and a bunch of games to get a PS3. This store no longer deserves the low rating it has. This location has the worst customer service. If you need a game or console drive the extra 2 miles to get great service. Custom service starts with training and management and i can tell you this store has none. If any place that should have closed after the covid out break it should have been this one. Husband LOVES gamestop we have hit up every single one in town (sanger included) but this place.....wow.....they literally had an air freshener on the floor it stunk so bad. My husband asked one of the employees if they had a game he was looking for his exact words were "Nope, aint got it, not a copy" and walked away!!! Other employees have always been super cool, trying to see if any other gamestop had one in stock. This 40 year old cul-de-sac rocking, mario bros pin wearing was a complete d-bag!! But, the last time I bought a game here I observed one of the managers sounding pretty condescending to a phone caller. (she identified herself as a manager.) The parking lot is crazy... But once you get in the door, all is well. :). The guys that work there are awesome! They join right along as you geek out over the latest games or in our case amiibos... And philosophical conversations can be conducted on whether Sheik (Legend of Zelda) is a boy or girl. And if you are looking for a rare collectible they will assist in searching for that item among the various stores. Super helpful, super fun, and I just love how organized everything is! read more

New team compared to the old reviews. . & they're all amazing, honest, and helpful people. This location always has some type of traffic, it's a small shopping center but it constantly has people coming in and out. You can tell that they try to rush, but it's almost impossible at times in a store like this. This isn't a grocery store, where you can just buy and go. There are pre-orders, discounts, memberships, and just general questions from customers, so it's a lot to take in, especially if it's just one person. Sometimes, the only downside can be the other customers that are loud an disruptive towards. I wish the security did a better job of helping keep unnecessary people out of the area. read more

I'm a frequent GameStop customer. Ever since the new management team took over in early January, this GameStop has been fantastic. They're not getting everything perfect, but I imagine that's just a result of the store constantly being super busy. Plus, I live in the area and the customer base is off-the-charts levels of dumb. Went in to buy game with my husband and was thoroughly disappointed. I walked in and there was no one behind the counter and a couple people browsing. So we just went about my business searching for the game, but we couldn't find it. No problem, I'll just ask. I waited patiently at the counter for someone to come out, because I've worked retail and I ty really hard not to be an ass. When the guy finally comes out, I ask him about the game. And the guy instead leans around me to help people behind me who were literally still shopping. Like obviously still debating on which game to buy. And he's trying to ring them up but there's nothing for him to ring up BECAUSE THEYRE STILL DECIDING. All I needed was to be told where I could start looking for the game, because it wasn't on the main wall. That's it. But dude behind the counter was kinda dead set on ignoring me, even though I was trying to be nice. Even my husband could tell that the dude basically brushed me off and I couldn't help but think it was because I'm a girl with a squeaky voice who doesn't look like I'd be a "serious" gamer. This gamestop is a joke, dont waste tour time. Go to the one at willow and herndon, they were having a midnight release for a game, and turns out that they had the release at 9pm even though they had told me four days earlier that it would be at 12pm. We wait for 2 hours and are told at midnight that we missed the release, they didnt even call and tell the people who had pre ordered it. Did they expect us to psychically know that it was at 9. What a joke, oh and you will have to wait in line for an hour with two people in line. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS GAMESTOP. read more
