I went to this GameStop back in June. I never had the yelp app until now & this came out on my recommendations. DO NOT GO. I'm a girl, and I wanted to buy something Pokémon related for my bf for Father's Day. I spoke to a man about purchasing something Pokémon related because I know nothing about Pokémon & he looked at me like and didn't get off his phone & proceeded to just leave me there clueless. I was like maybe he's on his break ‍ but he then helped a father & son shortly after. Fortunately, I saw another woman working there & she was SO KIND. She stood next to me the rest of my visit at the store making sure I knew what items to purchase since she had Knowledge on the anime. That's the only reason for the 3 stars. Talk about bad service, not responsible, non communication and the worst experience I have ever had at for shopping at GameStop for over 15 years, my story I purchase FIFA 19 on Thursday and then email says it's ready for pick up but I was busy so I can the next day Friday I came by to pick it up and they said nothing what was there, not received an email and giving me a lot of excuses that all stores r having problems also asking if I made a mistake and it's funny cuz my email says it's ready for pickup and all the formations right, the other funny thing I purchase another game, picked up with no problem at the bellflower GameStop and I showed it to her & I got her there , she just basically told me there's nothing we can do, she said they will give me a call and still have not received one... I've gone to other gamestops. Lots of them...from Manhattan beach-all the way to whittier. I'm not a casual player...I've gamed a lot for years.... And with all honesty, this gamestop has been far the best. Everyone here makes me feel welcomed. They know their stuff. I bought a used PS4 a month ago. I personally never buy used electronics because they always seem to fail or have some defect. However, the cashier convinced me to buy one. When purchasing the used PS4, I asked about the warranty. They told me I had 30 days to return it if anything was wrong with it. When I asked about he warranty on a new PS4, they said the same thing "Sony only offers a 30-day warranty." Now, I know that's not the case since my PS3 had a 1-year warranty when I first bought it. Anyway, I went home and used the PS4 mostly for blurays and a few games here and there. This morning the used PS4 failed to turn on. Blue light came on and then turned off. Tried restoring it and nothing. Luckily, I was one day away for the 30-day warranty. When I went to exchange it they said I couldn't because I only had 7 days to return it (wasn't told that when I bought it) and they could only exchange it for another used one. I told them I had no interest on a used one and wanted a new one instead (I would pay the difference). They said no...I said I'm not taking it back then and I was going to call my credit card company and cancel the charges since I was within the 30 days. The cashier and the manager (I assume since he had to call her over) started taking about what to do. She kept saying I couldn't get a new one because I was over the 30 days. The cashier said no, he's either one day away or is on the 30th day today. I try to tell her I was still within the 30 days, but she ignored me. It wasn't until I walked away and called my credit card company that she changed her mind or something. The cashier (Lee) was great through out the whole thing. Very polite and respectful. He told me that I would need to activate my new PS4, but since my old one died, I would have to call Sony directly. Anyway, great customer service from the cashier. The manager, not so much. The only reason this review is getting 4 stars is because of "Lee." Finally, don't ever buy used electronics from any store. You think you're saving a few bucks, but you're really not. read more

I usually go to this location because it's closest to my house. There have been multiple times when I call in advance for info and get the wrong info for what I need. I would not normally review a video game store, but I have been so incredibly impressed with their customer service. Every time I call, they are knowledgable and answer all my questions. Extremely friendly!! I have dealt with 3 ppl at that store, and they ALL were really awesome!! I even remember all of their names. The first guy I spoke with was named, Brian. Ok, this is a really good Gamestop, some of the the pre owned DS games are kinda over priced. But anyway, The staff are super chill, however, recently I was looking for blazblue cross tag battle, t was out of stock. I went everyday for the next 2 weeks and still got nothing, so I just got South Park on sale for 30 dollars. That's really my only issue, the lack of restocking. But other then that, it's a good place if your wanting to play that game everyone has, also they like to take pre owned games and label them as "new". I'd recommend it to buy a game real quick. read more
