This business started out by selling old and used cartridges for almost every (major) gaming console ever made. The owner has an enormous, almost unbelievable, selection of games you played, games you wish you had played, and some games that you've probably never heard of. What a trip down memory lane. Yeah, the owner had a nice little business selling game an outstanding variety of game console cartridges...and then he got bit by the pinball bug. So, in his store, he has 24 pinball machines, three cabaret style machines (Galaga, Centipede, Ms.Pac Man), two multigame machines (an iCade 60 gamer, and another that features about 100? vertical scrolling Japanese "maniac shooters..." if those are your thing. There's a Crazy Taxi game, too). The pins range in price from 12.5 cents per play (two credits for a quarter, arithmetic wiz), to a buck per play. Here's the key...every game that I played was in good or excellent condition! What an cool variety of games, he has. Newest game? Jurassic Park (2019) by Stern. Flagship game? Dialed In (2017) Limited Edition by Jersey Jack; that's a $9000 dollar machine. Mike P's favorite game? FirePower (1980) by Williams...25 cents per play...just like the machine at Little Cesar's Pizza on Suder Avenue...back in 1980. For an added bonus, ask him to see the collection of video game consoles and microcomputer stuff that he has in his back room. Another trip down memory lane. When in Lima, stop by...after Kewpee's.

I always find bargains there on used DVD's that range in price from $1.99 to $9.99 depending on the demand of the DVD. They also have a GREAT selection of music CD's where you can come across some obscure and cool discs at very reasonable prices. I purchase used DVD's there all the time. I've never had a problem with any of the discs I've purchased, and yes, I'm afraid to actually count how many I own! I dig Dave's. The store is what it is, a provider of used gaming, DVD's, CD's as well as a VERY inexpensive DVD rental store. If they don't have something you're looking for, you can pre-pay and they'll get it for you. They openly tell you they order their 'out-of-stock' items from Amazon.com and advise that you may wish to order it yourself to save the mark-up if they were to order it for you. :) I think expecting this establishment to be anything other than what it is, is harsh as they are simply a great place to find used discs that are in GREAT condition at very inexpensive prices. $20 for a new disc at Target or $6.99-$8.99 for the same DVD when it shows up at Dave's. A no brainer.

If he…read morealso says that he could spend all day in your shop and not get bored, you probably have something good going. It's hard to impress teenage boys. I'm not a teenage boy (as far as you know), but I also think Disc Replay is quite neat. It has an amazing collection of used video games for a variety of platforms, like Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, Wii, and even games for systems that old heads like me were brought up on, like the original Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis. The prices for these used games are suuuuuper good. Like, I was seeing price tags with $1.99 and $3.99 on them. We picked up a Plants vs. Zombies Nintendo DS game for $14.99, which according to my kid was a good price for a game he really wanted. They sell everything from refurbished Meta Quest VR headsets to Tamagotchi, which I didn't even know kids played still! Wow! A blast from the past. That's another thing: If you're a person of a certain age and you want to wax nostalgic about your middle school/high school years to the teenager you brought with you, visit Disc Replay. In the back of the store are aisles and aisles of used DVDs and Blu-Ray movies. My teenager asked me if this is what Blockbuster used to look like. Bless his heart. I said no and patiently described the wonder that was Blockbuster. Kids today just won't ever know; it's a dang shame. But thankfully, physical media is still a thing, and if you want to pick up a DVD copy of You Don't Mess with the Zohan, you can do that here. The people who work at Disc Replay are friendly and know their stuff. They answered our questions, and you can tell they don't only sell video games and movies, but they partake in this culture, too.
