That is incredibly rare - especially with a used item. Calico clearly refurbishes and takes good care of their consoles, unlike most places who just pawn off whatever they take in. Their game discs are practically brand new, even used, all of the discs I purchase have zero scratches to the naked eye, and play flawlessly. The prices are incredible, you can get like-new premium games for $4.99+, and that is absolutely fantastic worth. The PlayStation 4 Pro I purchased was $180 - an absolute beast of a deal! Most of all, I especially love how Joey and Czar remember me by name whenever I enter the store, it just really makes me feel special and cared for as a customer. Concluding, I genuinely appreciate that Calico Games caters to people who respect physical media. The staff clearly understand the value of disc-based and cartridge-based games, and they make it easy to find complete, playable titles without relying on digital updates or patches. I've had my son to check on his way home and they again and again weren't open during normal business hours. Prior to becoming seriously ill and being hospitalized for two weeks, I spoke directly with the man who runs the shop. He informed me that my item would be ready for pickup the following week and assured me that as long as I stayed in communication, my items would be held. After I recovered and returned to pick up my belongings, I was treated very rudely and unprofessionally. The same individual who previously assured me everything was fine suddenly became disrespectful and dismissive. When I asked for the owner's information, I was told he was the person I was speaking to, even though I had already communicated with him before and had never been treated this way. I have always had a decent relationship with this business until now, which makes this situation even more upsetting. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespectful attitude were unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this place. I hate that I was ever in a situation to pawn my things in the first place but they are not honest people!

Instead of recognizing that her own staff failed to check the numbers when they handed it to us five days ago, she openly accused us of lying and switching out the merchandise, stating 'people do funny things.' She was incredibly rude, hostile, and completely out of line talking to a customer that way in front of a crowded store. After looking at other reviews here, it's clear I'm not the first person she has pulled this exact scam on. Corporate and customer service have been contacted. Save yourself the headache and go to a different location where the staff is competent and doesn't insult paying customers.
