This store LOOKS well stocked, but it's almost entirely an illusion. It's mostly funko pops, which is fine, but they are dispersed throughout the store in a way that makes finding anything specific impossible. The rest of the figures are old peg warmers marked ilup significantly from msrp. Speaking of wildly crazy markups, the huge selection of back issues are marked "minimum of $3" regardless of the sticker price. The back issues are clearly a large collection of dollar bin books purchased, never sorted, and just flopped out onto the tables like raw meat. It is impossible to shop the back issues unless you have all day to sort through the completely and utterly random boxes. This store lacks any charm, or charisma and seems to be simply a way for the owners to price gouge dollar issues to people who don't know any better. Even the issues being sold at a premium are 3-4 dollars more expensive here than online. In addition, there is signage throughout the store that warns shoplifters that they will be sued for 100,000 dollars if they steal, which i understand is a deterrent for what is probably a real problem, but phrasing it like this reinforces the fact that this place is only looking for an extra buck on goods that are not worth the price, nor effort to steal. If they would actually expend a modicum of effort to clean up the back issues, and break away from the cycle of price gouging comics to kids in the mall, they'd have a decent location and stock, but in the state it is in now, you're better off going to a swap meet.

He also has customized merchandise, things like unique pins and plushes, that you won't find anywhere else and that really reflect his love for the medium. I completely blame the owner, Jeff. He apparently has quite a reputation for attracting sellers of model kit collections. He is internationally known. His reputation is solid, he guarantees every purchase. His business moved from Las Vegas about 3 years ago, but he has been involved in these kinds of sales, both in a storefront location and online sales, for three decades. There is nothing remarkable about this location. It is a small, unmarked, hole in the wall hidden in an industrial complex. The front room is a seating area with a black leather couch and chair, tv, and coffee table where a partially completed puzzle lies in wait for an OCD spouse to finish while the other half peruses in the back for the next hour or two. Just sayin'. This is a business that has three, floor to ceiling shelving units that extend the entire length of the shop, stuffed to the gills with boxes, somewhat organized, but not really. The jaw dropper is reading each red dot label proclaiming prices that are far lower than your friendly local modeler's shop. OK, so some of the models have been opened, some may have even been started then pushed aside, but others are in pristine shape. Some are treasures, quite old and hard to find. Some are collectors quality, some are more low end quality for beginners. There are military planes, tanks, ships, military vehicles, classic autos, diorama setups, tools, paint, and on and on. You never know what you will find, the inventory is constantly changing. And if you want to sell your collections, he is the man to contact. Between you and me, I suspect the sellers are widows and wives who furtively sneak into their hoarder husbands' collections in the back room with the intent of unloading decades worth of collections so they can have room for more shoes and purses. We mentioned it was for an 8 year old and they assured us she would be able to operate it. They took it out of the box and put fresh batteries in and showed us that it worked (they have a disclaimer posted that you need to make sure what you are buying is "good" before leaving with it. Ours was "good". After she opened her helicopter, dad tested it for a very short flight then we put it back in the box, for later. The next time she took it out of the box, she powered it on but did not fly it. We were about to eat so asked her to put it away until she ate. When she tried to turn it back on, there was no power so we figured it needed a charge. We charged it following the instructions exactly, but it never worked again. We took it back to Funny Toys and spoke to 2 different men. By the 1st, we were told if it had been an exterior part they would have replaced the part but claimed we messed up the interior battery (which cannot be changed) so there was nothing they could do. The 2nd man said he could sell us a more expensive one that is "easier to fly" (which wasn't our problem). He said it was regularly $60, currently on sale for $35, but he would "help us out" by giving it to us at $30 and no tax. I told him we did not have more money to spend on something that has no guarantees and if he could not replace ours I would have no choice but to ensure that others are able to read my review so they know not to shop there.
