Came here to look for poke cards but there's absolutely nothing left. They have in stock but they didn't give me anything until Saturday... too bad, we won't be here then. But the store looked nice and cozy with many games and toys. read more

Awful! Bought a game online and paid full price. Got yo the store to pick it up and it was a display unit that had already been opened. It was marked $20 less than what I paid! Store would not honor that price. Never will I purchase from them again. read more

I walked in and immediately felt they are prejudice. They didn't even wanna help me or my boyfriend. My boyfriend asked to see the disc to ensure it was not scratched and they told him to put it down immediately. We were at the register literally paying for it and he was next to me... anyways the guy did up apologizing for offending us. Truly don't recommend shopping at this location. Rude and prejudice! I purchased a game here only to get home and find no game inside the case. I called the store and they said to come back in so we could straighten it out. Awesome! Except not... when I arrived they told me there was no inventory discrepancy to indicate the didn't give me a game disk so they weren't doing anything about it. I've now undergone three corporate phone calls, all roughly 30 min, with the issue still unresolved. I was supposed to hear back from the district manager within 72 hours, who never contacted me. I'm now re-awaiting that call with a 24 hour timeline. It's been two weeks since I've purchased the game. Or should I say since I purchased a game case. I'm beyond disappointed in the lack of customer service, being ripped off by a company I once enjoyed, and being given a run around by corporate who doesn't care. I would highly encourage you to take your business somewhere that actually values it. read more

An ode to poor customer service: First, an associate manager came up to myself to ask if I needed any assistance. I replied asking if they had a game in stock. The a. manager replied that he was going to check and then come back and let me know. My friend and I were 2 out of 4 customers in the store. After 10 minutes of waiting I went up to another associate who was done checking out the other two customers--making myself and my friend the only two customers in the store. The associate manager at this point was straightening up and restocking the floor (going between front of store and stock room). The other associate helped me with my question and 3-5 minutes later the a. manager came up to me and apologized for forgetting about me and then gave me a bag with apparel items for free. A sweatshirt that is 4 sizes too large and two winter hats (for reference it is 84° outside. Upon getting home I placed one of the 4 games I purchased into my console and the game began to glitch out, force quit and cause my entire console to freeze up--forcing me to hard restart. When I called back: the associate who took my call then called his manager and neglected to place my call on hold. I then heard them both discussing myself and issue in a negative light. I then called customer service and after speaking with them I made the comment that "I was looking forward to taking the survey after the current call" (a survey that the automatic line said would become available after the call) the customer service supervisor then told me that GameStop was not doing surveys and I would receive a call survey later in the week. I chose not to hang up like he instructed aaaaaaand what do ya know I was prompted with a survey. Customer treatment by both this store and a few other GameStop's is deplorable and has left a very negative taste in my mouth. If this is how customers are treated (especially customers who have purchased large ticket items and numerous games in the past 2 weeks) I have no more desire to do business with these stores and will make sure I share my experiences with my network to alert them of the disappointment they would be walking into. read more

the crabtree location is absolute trash. they sold us an empty box told us word for word (i have it on video) they fucked us out of $150 bc they can't ensure we don't take it but they can 100% ensure no employees including from the truck didn't take it. the employee that was there grabbed the only one from the bottom of the entire casing and conveniently that was the empty one. Also threaten to call the cops on us because they didn't feel like dealing with us anymore and the store manager continue to call my boyfriend "bud" over the assistant managers phone. ridiculously unprofessional and somebody needs to take care of that staff as a whole. we also went to a separate location bc we did actually need this item and another employee let us know that was a regular thing that crab tree does and they get nothing but bad reviews. do better. read more

This Gamestop is located on the second floor of Crabtree Valley Mall near the food court. I have recently bought an xbox 360 for some casual couch gaming sessions and was looking for recent games at decent prices. I did not find that here. One game I was interested was $55 USED (Keep in mind, Amazon has this game brand new for $39.99 with free 2-day shipping for Prime members) and I was able to find a used copy online for $17.75...of course they won't price match these prices so I decided to leave. The only reason they don't get a one star is because for much older games they have decent prices ($15 or below), but for used popular games, they hike the prices up to the point where it's just ridiculous. Their used consoles also seem to be relatively competitively priced, but these days, you can even get those cheaper online. If Gamestop keeps this up, I'm not sure how they will stay in business since more and more people are buying used electronics/games online these days. read more

As a first-time customer wanting to join PowerUp Rewards (Gamestop's free rewards program), the cashier tried to up-sell me to join PowerUp Rewards Pro at $14.99/year. I was confused for a few seconds since the cashier worded it as if I was crazy to not buy the subscription. But, ultimately I walked away with the new Super Mario Bros. for Wii U and no extra charges. On the plus side, my cashier did make an effort to be fun. She expressed her pain at the slow receipt machine and urged me to take my girlfriend to The Cheesecake Factory. read more

So I am trying keep myself busy while I am social distancing so I purchased a refurbished Xbox one from the capital Blvd location because I was coming from my bf house and it was closer to where I was. I get home to install and follow the instructions and the console works for 3 seconds. So I figured it maybe something I am doing wrong so I waste two hours googling and tryna figure it out but it doesn't not work. So I called this location, since it is closer to my apt, to see if they could help or suggest what I do. The guy answers and tells me to basically bring it back to the same location for a exchange since they don't have that model at this location. Okay cool! I'm already over it, so I just decide to return and get my money back. So I go to this location and the guy notices that it was me who just got off the phone with him. I assuming he's a manager or something. And he has this snarky comment of, '" wow I helped you and you're going to return that here, where you didn't even buy it?" I just shrugged and continued with my return with the cashier (different guy) who helped me. I appreciate him Because HE DID HIS JOB AND NOT INCLUDED HIS UNNEEDED OPINION ABOUT ME RETURNING A FLAWWED "FIXED" CONSOLE! I think this coronavirus is making people go mad.....it's not my fault you are at work. We are all suffering in some type of way so watch what u say to people. read more

They don't have a big selection of games. The staff is not very helpful. I have been to this location several times and they have never approached me. Maybe this is because they are so busy but if that's the case maybe they should hire more staff. I would recommend going to another location as I have gotten much better service from this company in other locations read more

Went there with my fiancé to trade in my x box one system cause didn't need the extra system. Transaction went smoothly Craig fulghum was the best associate ever. Keep him. Will be returning to this location soon to buy and sell. read more

Crabtree Valley Mall - The only employee locked himself in the back room for 15-20 minutes on 7/26/13. Obviously this was very confusing for the 8 of us customers wanting to make a purchase or preorder. Not a big deal to me... just went down the street to Wally World and bought the PS3 for my niece but I think the guys trying to pre-order PS4s got pretty perturbed. read more

Store was overall clean and neat. Had very few employees *during the week* Did get a good trade in on the Nintendo 3ds games. Employee was very helpful finding the games we wanted for a cheaper (used) price. read more
