Great Customer Service! I recently bought a Pre Owned PS5 for my Bday and originally, the system the gave me didn't work at all. It kept on overheating until it shut off completely. But The manager Helped me and even gave me a better system for a CHEAPER price!! Then the controller that came with it ended up having bad triggers, so a team member gladly did an even exchange! Additionally i bought a Pre Owned controller that ended up having bad joysticks, again they helped me in getting a controller that i actually wanted! The Team members at this Gamestop are Awesome! I want to leave a quick review about this GameStop. I had to come in here to return a fake pokemon game that I bought via GameStop online. I came into the store a little upset as I had never thought GameStop would sell fake games on their online store. Anyways I was helped by a store associate named Candace. This review is actually mainly about the professionalism I received from Candace. She was very sympathetic to the situation and helped me pretty much immediately! I would suggest to GameStop that you put her in the forefront when dealing with upset customers as she was able to diffuse the situation rather quickly and professionally. Getting there: Located in citrus plaza, this Game Stop is located directly next door to the Verizon and Starbucks. There is parking right out front of the store, but it is a crowded lot so it could be hard to find parking. Experience: This trip was even quicker than my Beaumont store visit as we went in looking for a Nintendo switch and they were sold out. From the looks of it, they seemed to be sold out of a lot of their inventory as the shelves looked very bare. We may have visited on a day in between inventory stocking, but I was still surprised to see it so empty. read more

I came in here to buy a new game that was on promo for 25% off. This promo is available at Target and Amazon as well. I called to ask if they had any new copies of the game. They told me yes. I remember trying to buy a new game (plastic factory sealed) that was on promo at a another GS store and they tried selling me a "new" copy of the game. It was the floor display copy they use to show they have the game in stock. They claim it's new because it hasn't left the store but the plastic has been removed and when you receive it "new" you have to peel off the store price tag and plastic sticker closing the case shut which leaves a sticky reside leaving the box cover looking unpleasant. So today I was too busy talking to the store associate to notice that the copy they gave me was the floor display copy. Please don't say you have a new game by just putting a used one in a used display box and slapping a store sticker that says new on it. I should have just gone to Target or ordered through Amazon. Next time just say no we don't have any new copies but we have some at this store and call it a day. I could have decided what to do from there but you got me into buying your floor display copy. read more

When I went with my family we thought the guy was asleep at the register because he had his head down for several minutes. Didn't seem interested working there but that's an issue with him and the company. We went to see if they had the new Harry Potter game in PS4 and the guy kept telling us they weren't going to make it in PS4 or Switch and to just buy the ps5 and kept telling us the price of the PS5. None of us felt comfortable with the vibe the guy was giving so we left and went to another GameStop that greeted us when we walked inside and informed us that the information the guy gave us was complete false and the game was on pre-order to just come out later. Staff here has the worst customer service and will never apologize for any inconvenience they cause to their customers. It all started with couple pre-orders I made for funko pops last year that I never received a call for when it released and they got them in stock, so I ended up missing out on it and had to get a refund. Should've learned my lesson then and stayed away, but decided to give them another chance recently and preordered again in March for another funko pop that was to be released around July. Fast forward to near end of July and having forgotten about it, I realized I never got the call AGAIN. So I dropped by the shop to ask them about it and the first thing I notice on the pop shelf is the pop I want (one left) that's ripped and banged up. When I ask them about it they simply claim they've called everyone on the list and left a voicemail in a aggressive manner and without any apologies. So I ask for a simple refund and the employee (Demetri) that was helping me gets the manager (Nestor) telling me he can't refund my money and that he can only give me store credit since to much time has passed since the pop has been released. So basically, the manager tells me the same thing that he personally called everyone and overall insinuates that it's my fault for not receiving his call, doesn't apologize once for what has happened, and tells me off to deal it with customer service for a refund. If you want poor customer service, miss out on your preorders, and get your money stolen, go here by all means. If not, STAY AWAY from this GameStop location. At the end of the day I know it's just a toy but from a customer's perspective, it's the principle. read more

Honestly: I am not much for GameStop at all. Most locations push you into the unnecessary warranty. Others into their membership. But I am willing to go out of my way from Beaumont to this location over here. They don't pester you. They treat you great. And they never make you feel like you're a burden. Nestor, specifically, goes above and beyond for his customers. Provided great customer service, then when I came back because I had forgotten about my gift card, and made him jump through hoops, he continually reassured me that it was no problem. I admittedly was done with GameStop due to the Beaumont location, but returning to this one makes me want to continue giving them my business, and I will do so for this location. read more

Poor customer service. This store always seem to leave 1 person at the register while the others hide in the back. When we walked in, there were 2 people at the register with about 6 people in line, and we were at the end. When we were on deck next to pay, Lisa (Assistant Store Lead) decided it was a good time to leave the register with us still waiting in line, leaving Aaron alone while he was in the middle of a trade-in. We ended up waiting 10 minutes in line, until Lisa finally came out from hiding to offer to help us.... while we were now being helped by Aaron. I'd give them 7 out of 5 stars!!! WOW!! I have not frequently shopped GameStop in the past, but was forced to today, due to my children's dead XBOX One. I received the most gracious and informed help from Kira, both before my visit, on the phone, and then in the store. She educated me and was so kind. We sold some of our no longer wanted gaming items and then purchased a used console, so we were there for a while, and I received absolutely impeccable service, from beginning to end. The customers that I listened to at the registers on either side of me, were about 1:5 HORRIBLE and the staff was AMAZING!! Andy at the register to the left of me, had some challenging characters to deal with during my visit (more than once) and he offered every guest his most perfect service. He is an asset to that store, and a better man than I! I have a whole new image of GameStop, after today. The staff at this store should all be commended for their excellence in service! read more

I checked online that a game could be traded in prior to my visit and upon trying to trade in marvels midnight suns for ps5 the associate 'Aaron' told me he couldn't take it and did not give me a reason as to why. When I attempted to ask he proceeded to get very rude and told me to try another GameStop. Are you kidding me? When I asked for the manager he smugly pointed to himself. I called this location Tyler answered and was very helpful, he checked and they had 1 left and he even offered to put it on hold. When I got there both staff were friendly, engaging, polite and very helpful. The store is small and cute very likable and I like it better than the one in Rialto where I live.
