My advice is to go the one just east of here. They literally give you double this guy does. I understand that this is a business and that they are trying to make money, however I think the owner degrades your items more than needed. He makes you feel like you just waisted his precious time then time after time he gives you his price as your walking out. Even when he really wants the item. I seen on another review that he dramatically changed the price on someone. He did the same to me. He made an offer and I told him it wasn't quite was I was hoping for and that if I couldn't sell myself I'd bring it back. When I brought it back he dramatically lowered the offer. Also I had seen some of my things on the shelf after my garage was broken into and he would not help me in any way. Def will not return read more

GREAT Shop! Really friendly and knowledgeable owner. I have been here three times and been more than happy every visit. I found a great HP printer with copier, new in the box, for really cheap that is just fine for my classroom. Another time, I picked up a bike for my kid that was in good condition. I have sold gold to the owner and gotten a really great deal. The owner is very knowledgeable about gold and doesn't play any games with you - he tests and weighs right in front of you. I travel through the South quite often for business. To break the monotony of weary road travel and feed my addiction to collecting unusual trinkets, I stop at pawnshops. In the past year I have darkened the door of at least 75 of them, all different. Some of the pawnshops were located in new trendy buildings with display cases filled with high-end merchandise. Other shops more traditional, with high walls cluttered with electronics, tools, widgets and gadgets; which brings me to a recent visit of a pawnshop in, of all places, Yucaipa, California. I was browsing through the store's vast selection of DVDs and CDs when I witnessed an interaction that I have never seen occur in a pawnshop. A young 20 something woman with 2 children in tow came into the shop. The young mom wanted to sell some old VHS movies and an outdated, broken video game. The shopkeeper introduced himself as Albert and began to patiently listen to her tale of woe as he shared several pieces of candy with her children. She explained that she was in trouble and needed to desperately pay her electric bill by 5:00 p.m. Albert softly explained that her items had very little monetary value and that unfortunately he could not purchase them from her. The young woman nodded, replied that she understood and thanked him for his time. As she gathered her children and reminded them to thank Mr. Albert for the candy, Albert took several bills out of his pocket and placed them in her hand, "I hope this helps," he whispered thinking no one but she had heard. Looking down at the bills pressed within her hand and in a voice that was marked with genuine appreciation, "Thank you so very much," she replied. In a time when our world has been shadowed by unprecedented greed and a lack of empathy for our fellowman, an act of kindness by a modest shopkeeper restores one's faith. If you ever find yourself in Yucaipa, I suggest you stop in the Trading Post and visit with Mr. Albert. I bet you dollars to donuts that your day will be brighter if you do.
