Was on vacation and decided spur of the moment that I wanted a RE4 Wii game. Called all around and was met with cold customer service UNTIL I called this gamestop! The gentlemen was knowledgeable, kind, and even held the game for 30 minutes while I drove there to buy it (this gamestop was out of my way) the store is clean and organized while the staff in person is also kind and professional! what's the point of pre ordering if when u go pick it up they don't have the game version in stock. was told had to wait for rush delivery, pay the difference for the deluxe version or get a refund and find the copy at a different location. Everything went fine in store with my transaction. However as others have said on yelp the woman with glasses and visible bird (crane) tattoos is incredibly rude and short. She clearly hates working here and it's tense, especially when you are forced to stand next to the counter when waiting to trade things in. It's a video game store for your kids or the kid in you. This particular one is kind of small from the ones I 've been to in the local area. I have been a few times just for the convenience after shopping at HEB. I haven't really exprienced bad from this facility. I will say you have to check gamestop out because everyone now and then they have some great deals going on with new games. I now prefer the digital games for the Xbox One because they don't take as long to download. With using the disc some games tend to take a while load before you can play them. It's a maze when you check out of this place so be sure to follow the arrows when you're ready. read more

I would like to begin by saying that Jen and Lindsey are absolutely wonderful employees. If corporate reads this, give them a big kudos! I do not game much anymore, so my visits to GameStop are infrequent at best. That being said, this store is easily one of the most tidy, organized and efficient that I've been to over the years, and the game knowledge, friendliness and approachability of the employees is stellar. I came in to trade several games towards a pre order. In the transaction, one of the games wound up un-scanned and I subsequently ended up leaving it there without receiving store credit for it. Upon realizing this on the receipt an hour later, I returned to the store and addressed the issue. Jen was abundantly helpful and apologetic, and promptly alleviated the issue. (As a former GameStop employee myself, I understand that there is a lot going on, especially with trades, and sometimes things like this happen) Of the 3 GameStop locations in my area that I can choose from, I will be designating this location as my top choice, thanks to the great customer service from both Jen and Lindsey. read more

Was looking to trade in our COD Xbox One toward a new bundle s version. They would not honor price from GameStop.com. It was not an online only price. If you are an adult who is lost on what to choose or a gamer looking for a peer-to-peer opinion, they have the help here. I have reserved games here, I have researched games here, and I have learned and received more than I expected each time. Overall, the employees do enjoy their job and I have highlighted that on the surveys I was asked to fill out for their company after a purchase (also the chance to win doesn't hurt...lol) If you would need some information on some new/old/current games and technology, spend a moment and come in to ask them. I have learned about new tablets for kids that you don't normally see in the "chain-style" stores and I was able to demo them while there. I am so tired of GameStop. In particular, how they handle 2DS, 3DS and New 3DS XL releases. To get the $100 upgrade offer when trading in a 3DXL or PS Vita, you have to hand over your device, ok cool. But for the 3DS, if you do that, you also lose the ability to transfer your account. Being a specialty video game store, you'd think they'd allow you to do the transfer after purchase. Nope. I talked with other locations and it was a toss up as to some would some wouldn't. The Assistant Manager here is so unwilling to budge. (Large/ish, black male). How to do you sell to gamers and not understand the transferring of accounts between the devices. When there are so many places we can choose to spend our money, you'd think they would accommodate their demographic. I know that on a grander scale, its an issue with GameStop as a whole I have a complaint against. But this location in particular, does not put forth the effort to retain customers. I will gladly spend the $200+ at Best Buy and sell my 3DS on Craigslist and get more than the upgrade would have been. It is clear to see why physical game stores like this will eventually meet the fate that RadioShack is currently facing. Change or be phased out. read more

I don't go to game stores much anymore but I've gone to this GameStop twice recently and they've been great! The first time, they gave me a better-than-expected deal on a game I traded in, and I was able to trade it for a game I actually wanted all in one trip. The second, I needed a charger for a controller. I searched 4 stores in the area; GameStop was the last I checked and they had something even better than I was looking for at an awesome price, and I was able to get something else I wanted there as well. I came in here with my fiancé mind you and we decided to bring his little sister along with us because what kid doesn't like a trip to gamestop?! We asked to get black ops four and the lady then continues to ask for our id's.. mine was in the truck and I told her that and she stated "well you need to go get it" and my fiancé's little sister is a sophomore in high school, she doesn't have a I'd? What high school kid without a drivers license carries an I'd on them. Because of this, the lady then did not let us purchase the game and kept making smart remarks as we walked out. Never going to this game stop ever again. Highly disappointed. I've been in this store several times over the years. However, this time prompted me to make a review. Today was a different experience. For the first time in my many years of shopping at Game Stop, Rose took the initiative to actually offer to use my built up points for a coupon towards my purchase. I've built up points forever & never knew what to use them for. She took time to utilize her Ipad to help me get into my account online and get my best deal. I was planning on this being my last trip ever to a Game Stop since the one in my hometown closed but I will call before I come to make sure Rose is there again to ensure its worth my 30 minute trip. Took my godsons to this Gamestop to trade in some games and look around. We got a great deal on our trade ins which we used to buy new Nintendo 3DS games. The staff was helpful but not pushy.
