Video games are now an afterthought. They give me almost nothing for my trade-ins, they won't even allow me to use my five dollar monthly coupon anymore without using an app which I can't even sign into as "something went wrong. Please try again." that doesn't even give me an indication of what I could be doing wrong which I am not doing anything wrong as I tried to activate my membership multiple times via email and I never get an email. Despite this, I am spammed with GameStop promotional emails almost every day. $25 a year for a pro membership and I'm basically getting screwed now. I'm done shopping here. If you can't even pull up my rewards on your end despite me giving you money I'm canceling the membership and I'm just done shopping here. Find a local game store that isn't run by a bunch of greedy corporates. This store still has nice employees which is why I give stars in the first place. read more

2/5 This location has been remodeled Customer service got better Chris was VERY helpful with genuine greeting and if I had any questions Super downside for me was being nonchalant/casually charged to renew my game account when I was purchasing to get the PROMO deal of buy one and get one 50% off. Good thing I questioned before completing my purchase to remove the account renewal. No matter if I signed up or not my total was nearly the same. I think its better to inform the customer about HOW the promotion/deal works instead of the final stage before completing the purchase. read more

Went to turn in a PlayStation 4 pro limited edition at 5:30pm there was about 2 family's inside including me so not too busy. girl was new super sweet , but wasn't trained in trade ins . She Asked the manager for help on the trade in process and returned and said he was using his lunch and we could return in 40 min or so. I didn't know lunches were 40 min now . And as a manager if the store was empty I'd give a quick run through in a trade in. I went to this GameStop tonight to buy a PS5 Slim Call of Duty 3 Bundle. The lady assisting me her name was Meadow . She told me I have to sign up with GameStop Pro in order to buy the PS5 slim. I told her I don't want to sign up with GameStop Pro. She told me she refuses to sell me the PS5 console because I don't want to sign up with GameStop Pro . I told her where does it say I have to sign up with GameStop Pro in order to buy the PS5 console. She tells me it's in the GameStop policy. So she calls her manager to confirm that's still policy in rule. The manager tells her it's not in the policy no more to sign up with GameStop Pro. Meadow needs to know her policies and rules before starting to be rude about in the beginning and refusing to sell it to me. I will be calling GameStop corporate to report her behavior towards me. read more

This game stop is nice, clean, and has great parking. The employee we met today was helpful and polite. My only reason for a 3 was that with all that space they should have waaaayyyyy more of a selection in games. It could be a Covid19 stocking issue, but I do not believe it is. They have some pretty cool anime shirts but they are over priced. read more

Jessica The ASSistant Manager needs to be fired... Sent my wife in to buy a red dead 2 currancy card. The ASSistant Manager Jessica (At least when I asked for the manager she said she was the ASSistant one) gave the Worst customer service. At first my wife walked in unsure where to find the card or what she was looking for. Instead of offering to help her the ASSistant Manager Jessica (based on how she handled herself) turned around and ingored her. It wasnt until my wife looked around for some time that Jessica asked what she needed. My wife is not a gamer and did not know exactly what she was looking for and instead of asking which system my wife needed the card for Jessica herself just grabbed one and charged her for it. Except she charged an Xbox card and I needed a PSN one. Jessica was at fault since she selected the card and rang her up never checking if the card she needed was xbox or PSN (kids grandmas go in shopping for them and dont know 2 things about gaming so theres no excuse for Jessica The ASSistant Manager to say she should have known which card). Immediately I sent my wife back in and Jessica the assistant manager refunded the card but never activated the PSN card. I went back in with my wife the same day. We waited in line and Jessica (who was with another customer at this time) called us out saying she wouldnt refund the card. We never asked for a refund we just needed the card activated since Playstation itself says to have The RETAILER activated the card. She wouldnt even let us speak or case, she insulted my wife for not being a knowledgeable gamer and getting the wrong card. My wife never picked out the card from their selection they had, Jessica the ASSistant manager did both times. The transaction was her fault and when she made yet another mistake she got defensive. Her excuse for not even being willing to help us was that her refunding the first card had gotten her flagged. That is not our fault you made a mistake and got noticed for it. When i explained to her that playstation told me to return to the retailer to get them to activated it. (I went through their customer support and got to this) Jessica tried to insult my knowledge by saying I had to contact PSN which i did. I even showed her where they said return to the retailer. It was my wife who had to tell Jessica to finish with her current customer before dealing with us which was rude to her customer in it of itself because she still had a customer standing there tuat she was helping to say the least. Once I told her she was taking advantage of my wife being unfamiliar with gaming Jessica refused to help us any further and kicked us out. Review the tapes if you want to because we never once were warrented to be kicked out. Jessica was incapable of handling customer service and when she had no ground to stand on and knew she had messed up and swindled the wrong person she kicked us out. We not once got out of hand. And I wish I had flimed her handling of us to send to corperate. If thats their assistant managers level of customer service then you need to hire a new assistant manager. Needless to say I tried to explain to Playstation that the retailer wont help me and im basically out my 10 dollar gift card because Playstation is telling me to return there and have them activate it but I will never come back here because Jessica their ASS. Manager feels only the most elite of gamers should shop in this Hemet dump of a gamestop. I hope the local population of homeless give Jessica a hell of a time with their shoplifting. Customer service is horrible they are rude yelling at people if they are not there to purchase to get out of the way, they can ask in a professional manner instead of yelling. My son is the one buying games he Skype for help and they ignore him but when I ask for them to check stock of a game they did. You would think that because young people are their main customers they would service them. Customer service is important to me when I choose to spend my money at a business and I am disappointed at how miserable the employees seem. read more

Needed a gift card for my grandson. Took a total of about 5 minutes to complete my purchase and be thanked for coming into the store!!!

I came In knowing exactly what I needed to purchase the last 10 minutes of the night on 12/28/19. I was greeted with "we are closing in 8 minutes" and continued towards getting in and getting out due to the fact I work retail as well and know that nobody wants to stay later than what their scheduled for because of closing procedures. I was originally trying to go to Walmart to avoid GameStop employees from staying later than needed. My fiancé was very set on going to game stop so we went in and honestly it was probably the worst experience I've ever been in. We asked for help and was ignored by an associate who claimed to be Michelle but refused to give her last name (middle aged long black hair and thin eyebrows.) I'm honestly sad that my first review had to be a negative one but when people come in for a positive experience and are welcome with a bad attitude it needs to be addressed. If you are looking for help in finding what you need you're better off finding help at Walmart or target for your gaming needs because associates seem to want to only chat between themselves. read more

So I was a bit annoyed that I stood in line for five minutes being completely ignored while the associates went about their conversation. Typically I get great service! Went in on 5/9/19 to trade in a console. The sales associate Joshua was completely rude! I showed him that on the GameStop website it says trade in value was one amount while he attempted to argue and said it was another amount. I showed him proof of the amount showing was trade in value. He looked rite at me and says to me. You can just grab you stuff and go. And I quote. I don't have to take this in. You can ask the other sales associate that was standing there the entire time! Joshua calls corporate and after that phone call he tells me that this time he will take it in because it's a technical issue. He is the rudest employee from GameStop I have ever dealt with! And I've spent a lot and been to a lot of different stores in different locations and states. All other times I've gone in and dealt with Bryant it Jessica they have been great and extremely friendly. The one star review is do to your senior guest advisor Joshua. And I will promise you that you have lost this customer for this location or any location this employee works at. I would like someone from Corporate to call me. I went to this location in San Jacinto to pick up a game that my local hemet store had called to put on hold for me. The line was long and only 1 employee at the counter. I got to the counter to pick up the game and the associate Raymond refused to take the coupon codes that I had on my account he went to go get his manager who was in the back. As soon as she walked out the door she said we don't take codes if you don't have a barcode we can't accept it. These codes are on my account the hemet store took them no problem. She was short with us and very rude. So we paid full price for the game and left . I will not be returning to this GameStop horrible image for the company and even worse staff. I then called my local store to ask them why the San Jacinto store wouldn't take the codes and she informed me that there is an app we could have downloaded to get the code in a barcode format. I was very disappointed by the service of an employee by the name of Mark. I called last week trying to see if they had a refurbished DS system for my son, the staff member on the phone said yes and I said my wife would be down to pick one up after work. When my wife got there Mark assisted her and told my wife that they did have only one DS in stock refurbished. When my wife asked if she could see it Mark shows her the system, it was al scratched and beat up and dirty, even the employee Mark said "Yea it's really dirty". We have bought refurbished systems from other GameStops before and knew that this one in particular was supposed to come with a screen protector, charger and headset. My wife asked if that came with this one, Mark said it is supposed to, but that he would sell us a charger. My wife said if it is supposed to come with one why would we need to buy it? Mark simply said "Yea, this one doesn't have one". My wife pointed out the other items that were missing from the box and Mark said "Well it's just missing a basic headset, don't you have one laying around?" Safe to say we did not buy a DS system there, we contacted a GameStop in Redlands that was happy to help us and the Store Manager there did confirm that yes the system was supposed to come with all the pieces that were missing. The employee Mark who assisted us at this San Jacinto location was not helpful, rude, and clearly not interested in making a sale. read more

My son bought a refurbished PS4. It dies within 7 days. I then inspect it to see what's going on, and find that the serial number on the box is different from the serial number on the console. I think someone switched on them, and I got the crap that was sent back!! So naturally I take it back that day. I end up dealing with their manager Brian. He hears the situation, (and was there the day of the purchase nonetheless) looks at the console and says yeah this isn't right. He then proceeds to disappear in the back with my console. He come out ten minutes later saying that he wrote down all the numbers, and had sent it off to some team that would investigate this. It's now been three weeks and no word. As a matter of fact he mysteriously doesn't know what's going on at all!!!!! This service was trash, and deceitful!! Selling a kid a bogus console!!! This is why gamestop's can't be trusted practically ever. There's a few well ran stores out there, but this is definitely not one of them. Do yourself a favor and try any other gamestop than this one. I really didn't want to give this one star. Zero would be more accurate. read more
