Don't get your stuff here order online and never purchase a warranty they don't keep their word. Always buy warranties for years this the very first time i try to actually use it‍. They told me that it needs to be in resell condition but told me if it was having audio issues they would take it but in that scenario if it's having audio issues you can't re sell it‍ guy couldn't give me an educated response when faced with logic. The headset was working just fine but after taking it to the store and coming back home somehow the audio no longer works....you think the store clerk messed with it? If I could give zero stars, I would. I went in last night around 6 o'clock to get a new headset and controller for my PS4. I walk in the store is completely empty, except for two other customers, the two employees behind the cash register, ( female with big eyebrows and red head kid with beard) and what seems to be one of their friends hanging out by the register. The other customers leave and it just leaves me in the store. Thinking I would get some assistance now. But wrong, took over 15 minutes of me sitting there an not one acknowledged me or offered to help until I verbally asked for it. I tell them I need a new headset for my ps4 and could use a new remote because my current one has a slight lead. Now, here's The part that really pissed me off. After explaining to him why I was there he then proceeds to sell me a headset that is not compatible for PlayStation 4 and the used controller I bought should've never been sold to a customer for $50 I ended up trying out the controller because I figured obviously the employees at GameStop would test the controllers before taking in use property and just selling it to other customers but I must've been wrong because his controller deserve to be in the garbage every button stuck the right analog stick didn't even work. Just complete trash. Moral of the story, ruined my game progress, sold me a broken controller, A headset that wouldn't work, customer service was trash an Employees knowledge was even worse. For Quite a few years I've been a customer at GameStop. Buying and trading in. Constantly renewing my membership. I've always received great customer service. Just moved to Temecula a year ago and this is by far the best store I've ever been to. Jennifer and her team are amazing. Never preorder or make an order online. I tried to return an order console in-store as directed by the GameStop (800) 883-8895 over the phone. I was met with confusion at the store and a phone call to their corporate with conflicting issues that played out for 20 minutes while I sat around hearing the problems with their stores. The website said to take the item to the store, and their customer service said to take it into the store, but the retail store said to carry the item to FedEx for the refund. Next time I will use another retailer such as BestBuy that doesn't have their customers running around due to their disfunction. read more

So we went into this location to buy a game that we knew for sure was still available. We waited in a very long line for a while with this game in our hands and when we finally got up to the register the guy tells us that the last one had already been put on hold and also said HE FORGOT TO TAKE THE CASE OFF THE SHELVES. man this place is no good. I went to buy a Nintendo Switch for a night with the boys, thinking it would be easier than going to Wal Mart and having to get someone to unlock the case blah blah blah. But good Lord was I wrong. They offered me about five thousand add ons, protection plans, and pre orders. I told them no but they were incessant. Also one of the employees reacted pretty rudely when I declined one of the offers saying I was crazy, no big deal but dude try to have an ounce of professionalism. Bruh they charged me disc protection for two games. Guess what? I didn't ask for it. They'll tell you it's part of company policy but I know that is a load of horse dung. This location recently opened. My kids love going to this store better than Best Buy. They have a bigger variety of games, prices are pretty competitive, and they will price match. I think the best deal they have is the ability to buy used games and also sell back games. My kids will conquer a game in a very short period of time and then they're done with it. Obviously you don't get the full value of the game, but something is better than nothing. I signed up for their newsletter and get coupons and specials on a routine basis. I'm glad they put a Gamestop on the south end of town - now I don't have to drive over to the mall area just to satisfy my kids hunger for the newest video game. read more

I came in here a couple days ago to buy a couple games and some accessories for my Xbox including a used controller. The controller I bought wasn't properly working so I brought it back to exchange it for a new one, which also turned out to not work. When I brought the second one back in they exchanged the used one for an unopened new controller (and a special edition one at that). But that's not necessarily the reason for 5 stars. Most Game Stops that I've been to have pretty bad customer service, but everyone I interacted with here was friendly, knowledgeable about their policies, and video games no matter the platform. If you live close by, I'd recommend coming here over Best Buy or any other video game retailer, especially if you're looking for good customer service. read more

This store is horrendous in terms of customer service. I bought an Xbox 360 and Black Ops 1 and 2 for my kids because they love playing Zombies. I purchased the 4 GB slim version, and I got home powered it up and of course there wasn't 4 GB on the system. The console would not allow me to update it with some kind of internal HDD. Luckily I had a 32 GB flash drive, and I was able to format it to work with the console, but the store was extremely unprofessional. read more

Due to covid 19 you have to buy a game online and pick up at store. That's totally fine. When I picked up my game it was in a bag stapled shut. When i got home i opened it and there was no cellophane around the case and the back of the switch cartridge had a couple minor scratches from putting it in and out of system. It was not new. I called and spoke to steve. When I asked him about it he said, "it's a gutted copy. We used it for a display." So its USED!! He said he used it for a display but then sold it as new. Anyway he said it's his only copy. No mention of a refund or an apology. When I called him on it he even sounded like he was busted! He started scrambling for excuses instead of helping find a solution, like charge me for used copy and refund the difference. I spend a lot of money here and have a membership too that shows me how much I've spent. Never shopping at gamestop again. Plus I'm pretty sure that's illegal to sell used goods as new. read more

After reading all the horrible reviews on customer service I too can relate. My husband received a keyboard keypad for a ps4 controller as a white elephant gift at work (he's a hard working guy serving in the Navy). Unfortunately, it didn't come with a receipt, nor does he know who got it for him. We brought it into this store tonight asking if we could exchange it. Explained that it was a gift from someone at work during a gift exchange. The person at the register insisted we couldn't exchange it because without a receipt, we can't prove it was from gamestop. The packaging has a gamestop tag and barcode and it's brand new, never opened. I explained that most stores will allow you to return or exchange it and you receive store credit in return if it's an item they carry in their stock. The tags and barcode on this item CLEARLY state the item is from Gamestop. They treated us like we were guilty of trying to rip them off and told us to try and take it to Walmart to exchange it. All while my 5 year old son is with us. Obviously Walmart wont take it because it says Gamestop on the barcode. That was absolutely rude and uncalled for on this employees part. We are hardworking people that have absolutely no reason to rip off their store. All we wanted to do was exchange an item that was gifted to us for an equal priced item. I am appalled at the way they handle customer service and we will no longer patronize this chain...ever. I hope that Gamestop corporate office takes action to address this issue with their staff. I also hope that others will see this review and think twice about spending any money at this store. read more

Absolute horrible experience at this store. As stated in other posts the manager at this location is terrible and not helpful. I am a long time customer who will not return to this location and will consider taking my business elsewhere. Purchased Madden 25 with strategy guide back in Sept as part of $10 upgrade option to Xbox One version. Store dropped the ball and rang up Madden 13 on my rewards card. You would think they would make it right heck the lady even remembered me buying the game but they basically put them blame on me. Manager just stood there with his back turned the other way. this is my go to spot. i love coming here. it feels like family once they get to know you and your likes. very friendly environment. i moved here from Oceanside and had to find a new game store and this place is by far my favorite. i have done a couple midnight releases and they always make it a joy to be there. their suggestions are pretty spot on and they help with as much as they can in trying to find you the right game. although trade in is not exactly the go to, all gamestop stores are like that but there are often great deals when you can get an extra percent more than usual. i find it very relaxing just walking in. read more
