We went on Uncle Sam's dinner cruise 9/6/2025 on the Liberty. Being after Labor Day the menu was a home style buffet with turkey, ham, a veggie lasagna, real mashed potatoes chunks and all, a delicious stuffing and a veg. The crew and captain were fantastic. And let's not forget those views.

Wondering how long it'll take to get there?

If in the 1000 Island region, the Uncle Sam's Boat Tours is a must do. That along with a stop at Boldt Castle (separate review) makes for a perfect way to enjoy 1000 Island. They have many different tours available. We chose the 2 1/4 hour 2 Nation Tour. After a fun and informative tour of the 1000 island area, it makes a stop at Boldt Castle, where you can get off and tour the castle. Most of their tour boats stop here, and you can board any of them for your trip back to shore. The boat that we were on had 3 decks. We spent some time on the middle deck while it was sprinkling, but them moved to the top deck to enjoy most of the tour. Some of the homes and islands toured are just breathtaking. Just a spectacular view all around. There was a small bar with limited reasonable priced drink and limited snacks. You also could get a buffet lunch but we chose to see beforehand and just enjoy the cruise. Our trip back from Boldt was quick. Just in time too as a bad storm was approaching and started just as we got off the boat. Definitely recommend. 2023-71

This tour company has been around for almost 100 years. They are the official boat tour for the Thousand Islands - a collection of over 1,000 islands that are filled with trees, rocks, houses, and even castles. The Thousand Islands themselves are beautiful and are definitely worth a visit. As for Uncle Sam Boat Tours, I thought it was decent but nothing too exciting. The boats themselves are fairly old and the tour guide did not talk too much and was a bit boring. It is better to just sit back and enjoy the views. I recommend the 2 Nations Tour, which is their most popular tour and passes islands on both American and Canadian sides.

Great tour boat, waiting to get into the boat was a little annoying, but once we were inside, it wasn't bad. The crew was friendly and entertaining. Our guide was fun to listen to. He had lots of interesting information. The tour isn't complete unless you do the Boldt island tour. IMO, even if you just do the thousand islands tour alone, it's worth the price. It's entertaining, and you do get to learn about the history of the area. Hopefully, I will be able to do it again .

Birthday trip to Singer Castle. Our boat captain and tour guide was amazing (the manager I believe). The singer castle tour was also great. I misunderstood the ticket process and did not buy us tickets to bolt castle.

Hi it's me! The boat was an about slow but that's ok! Because I went to Canada! I also got a pretzel! Yum but it was very good experience the only reason it's a 4 is because the price

Very efficient and enjoyable cruise on the St. Lawrence River. The boat is simple yet comfortable. The host delivered an informative and entertaining narration of what we saw on the two nations tour. I came away knowing a lot more about the homes, history and background behind what makes the Thousand Islands famous. Ticket price included a drop off/pick up at the Boldt Castle.

A trip to remember for a lifetime! I am from California and I have been on many boat tours throughout my 33 years, & I can honestly say the service Uncle Sam Boat Tours offers is exceptional. The crew was very professional and kind anytime we conversed with them or had a question, we had the pleasure of exploring The Singer Castle and the breathtaking Alexandria Bay Community/waterfront homes, from the tour we learned what the day-to-day life for this unique community looks like, my family and myself where speechless about the architecture & the history of this community. Thank you US Boat Tours for the remarkable experience that my family & I will look back on in the future. Kind Regards, Sindy Sis

Now I have been going on Uncle Sam tours ever since I was little. The thousand islands were a favorite vacation spot for my family. This was by far the worst tour I had been on. We opted to take the two nation tour. I have been on this tour dozen of times thru my lifetime. We were taking our son for the first time and he loves history and learning so we thought this was perfect. What I expected were facts about the area. Stories of long time ago, what people came before us, who lived on the islands, things that were invented from the area etc. i expect to walk away with more knowledge of what makes the area unique. what we got was a brief story of millionaires row a few random facts.. three breaks of the speaker.. one five min break, one fifteen and another 10. So basically we had a few facts and brushed over history and boat ride. Personally it felt like a waste of money. We would have been better off with the one hour tour.

We enjoyed our two hour Two Nations boat tour to Boldt Castle. They offer drinks, popcorn, and hot pretzels. Our boat had three floors with ample seating. The tour guide gave a great tour and said she was from the area which was nice. The boat ride was smooth. We saw a cool speed boat poker run while onboard. Toilets are available on the boat. We didn't need to buy tickets ahead of time. You can take any Uncle Sam Boat back to Alexandria Bay when you're done at the castle.

A must must must while visiting 1,000 islands! There are many tours they offer but the only two I have done are the two below... Millionaire Row: 5 star - this was an hour long tour that was voice guided. (I normally do not like voice guided tours but this one had the humor, sarcasm and interesting facts to it) . You see multi million dollar homes and hear the interesting tales of homes. not a must but a second time new luxury idea ;) Bolt castle ! : a must to do; no matter if done before or not ... one of America's top ten castles to visit ( holding no 3 place) you'll never be disappointed

    Nice castle!

2hour boat ride for 21 bucks? Holy smokes! I couldnt believe how cheap it was, AND EVEN THE BEER AND PRETZELS AND POPCORN WHERE INEXPENSIVE. Completely took me by surprise. It was great sightseeing. I didnt get off at Boldt Castle bcuz my then, I felt like I had my fill on the tour this far so I skipped it. 2 nation tour, best deal around

When you leave their dock its only minutes to go to the Boldt Castle, docking there is free and simple. Its about 30 min by pontoon to get to the Singer Castle also free docking and easy. Be sure to rent an extra day if you want to stay out past 5PM! It's easy to lose track of time on the water when there is so much to do! There is a gas dock not far at a state park that was easy to dock. So all of that to tell you that renting from this location is just perfect!

I can't even begin to count. "Aqua Mania", hands down was absolutely one of the best places we have ever rented a pontoon boat from. Everyone I spoke to was very knowledgeable and friendly. Their pontoon boats seemed like they were brand new and really in great working order. Our boat would fit 12 people ( but who wants that) They took the time out to make sure we were completely comfortable on the boat, plus gave us some great tips about where we could go on the river for what we wanted to do. We wanted to do some fishing, swimming plus site see. Nothing is better than being able to control what you want to do on the river for the day. We had a fantastic time!

Late arrival for check in and trying to find your way around a target confusing maze of roads made more so by the mounds of snow everywhere. The separate building closer to the water has no signs indicating what entrance, and the for sticks so much we thought it was locked which had us wondering around trying all the other doors in the blizzard weather. You go into a building to leave the building for the courtyard area, which wasn't shoveled so we had to do so ourselves least the wall of snow fall into the room when the door was opened. Our heater made terrible noises that interrupted the sleep cycle so badly we left a day early, while still paying for all the days we reserved of course. Very much an older place with not a lot of upgrades, jacuzzi tub was nice and honestly the only reason the room was worth the price as the beds weren't very comfortable and made noises when you moved. Overall it will keep you dry and warm but so will anywhere else you pay to sleep. Next time I'll pay the little extra to stay in Clayton where there's actual places open and the hotel looked much nicer while not having to trek uphill to get to your room, hoping you don't have to climb stairs once you're there! Pros: hot water (so long as everyone else isn't showing at the same time), jacuzzi tub option, pretty view from courtyard Cons: noisy heater, noisy uncomfortable bed, weird layouts, confusing driveways, not a lot of upgrades, cold breakfast in a depressing little room, laid back customer service means you might be standing at the counter listening to people in a room you can't see talking while you wait to be noticed. Also be sure you check the door lock, our luck faced sideways when engaged which is the opposite of what I'm use to so we locked ourselves out of the room a few times.
