This place was a delightful surprise. I often pass by but this was my first time stopping in and it was phenomenal. From the Indian pancake, to the duck rolls, everything was incredible. The place was super cute and not overly crowded. I will say the only the that prevented them from a 5 Star is the service could have been a bit more attentive to us. We waited quite a while for our dessert and bill. Otherwise everything from the food to the drinks was delicious. I will definitely be back

Great stuff! This place has a great vibe, good music and lots of energy! Oh right the food...great! Good sushi with a lot of love put into it. Lots of sashimi options and creative maki rolls! My buddy and I love the sushi boat. Come for a good time!

The rolls were good but the apps stole the show. Loved the sushi pizza - def recommend. Everything was fresh. Ambiance was really nice and service was great.

Elegant and delicious, with impeccable service. I asked for a dish no longer in the menu and they made it for me. Love it here.

This is definitely one of the better Japanese / sushi restaurants I've come across in Jersey, with high quality ingredients and a fusion of different Asian flavors. Specialty rolls were in large portions, with the perfect amount of rice/fish ratio. You will find some out of the box flavors, such as the sushi roll featuring shrimp tempura, banana, and fig. Doesn't sound like a traditional sushi combination, but it somehow works! The bento boxes here seem to be the best value for dinner, providing a taste of everything (and giving you the ability to have a sushi roll with cooked food). This is also the only restaurant I've come across that gives a spicy tuna roll as part of the bento meal, while many other sushi spots opt for something cheaper like a California roll. Service was great & the restaurant has a great atmosphere, fun for grabbing some drinks with friends on the weekend. This restaurant is on the pricier side, but being that it's hard to find quality sushi in NJ I understand why. Will definitely have to try the rest of the menu!

The food here was unreal. The sushi was fresh, delicious, and unique. The drink menu was amazing as well, well made and delicious!!!! I will definitely be back. My only complaint was the lack of quick service, but it wasn't terrible

Came here for lunch. Ganga gets busy and slightly loud. Food was good as always- we had the bento lunch box. Over all, Ganga is a consistent stop with good presentation and food.

Wasn't expecting to be seated right away on Saturday evening, the place was buzzing! The entrance was crowded with parties waiting to be seated and we were lucky. Started with a black and pink roll as an appetizer and for a first time sushi goer it was a hit! Tempur shrimp, fresh crab meat and a light strawberry sauce topped the hefty roll. I ordered a bento box to enjoy a variety of favorites while my partner opted for the filet hibachi. Sesame chicken tasted more like orange chicken but it was enjoyable regardless. Service was quick. The server made sure to get our order in promptly, drinks and water made their way shortly after and he checked in on you without missing a beat. Service was so fast that they did not notice bringing out chipped plates which is a huge no for me. The party next to us had the same fate. Would come back to enjoy a few more tapas and sushi.

This is a place to come for a lunch special. You get a soup, salad, appetizer and main. So much food for such an affordable price. The service is excellent. The decor is excellent. But most importantly, all of the food here is delicious. Fresh ingredients. I especially loved the sizzling hot beef in the clay pot. Highly recommend. Five stars galore.

Some of the better sushi spots in the Matawan area. Lots of roll options, must try the black and print specialty roll. Great service, restaurant can get busy on weekends but definitely worth the wait. The cocktails are a must including lychee martini and fire breathing dragon drink.

I go all the time and have my usual favorites and have never had a problem. The last time i went in was during the daytime and i was sat where i had a view of the fancy sushi chefs out front chopping sushi. To start off, the place reeked. dont know what was going on but it was awful. Then, one of the sushi chefs must have been sick or something because he was coughing and SNEEZING fully onto the food he was working on without covering his mouth or turning away or anything. He then went on to do this a few more times and wipe his face with the gloves that are supposed to keep the food sanitary. If the chef that is visible to the customers right out front is visibly sneezing into the food thats being sent out and NONE of the other workers care?! then i dont even want to know whats going on in the back kitchen. I work at a little ice cream store and we are 1000% more careful and hygienic than this place and we don't even cook food. Absolutely disgusting. Don't know if I can go back

We were greeted at the door and were aloud to pick our seat. The ambience is such a cool Asian inspired atmosphere. The menu is very sushi dense, with the whole first 3 pages being sushi. I got the shrimp tempura, dragon roll, and Philly roll with a miso soup. The bar honestly wasn't high, but this was probably the best dining experience I've had in Keyport,…read moreor close to it. I came here this past Saturday for an early dinner with the Millennial Chum and Co. I've driven or walked by this place a bunch of times, and I've always liked the exterior - it reminds me of an NYC Irish bar, if that makes sense. Not what I'd expect from a sushi establishment. I will say as a caveat that it IS smaller inside than I expected; it's basically one narrow corridor, so as a result it doesn't really have an opportunity to flex its interior design muscles too much. Not really a negative per se, and not something I think they can really do much about unless they move somewhere else with more square footage to play around with. I was a little apprehensive when I looked at the menu and saw they were boasting multiple Asian genres, including the aforementioned sushi but also some Thai, Chinese and Korean. (No, I didn't realize it was Asian fusion, which would have immediately explained this.) In my experience, having TOO varied of a menu can blow up in a restaurant's face, but regardless I came to try the sushi and went right to the special rolls. I opted for the Lover Roll and the Volcano Roll. The Volcano was okay for the most part - this was on me, but I didn't realize it had jalapeno in it, which is clearly referenced in the menu. I don't mind it from a taste perspective, but I hate the crunchy texture in a sushi roll (same with cucumber, which is a sushi dealbreaker for me). It was very easy to remove, and otherwise a perfectly fine roll. I think presentation value-wise it could use something since it basically looks like a pile of sawdust with the lobster salad on top, but it didn't diminish the taste. The Lover is excellent, and I wasn't too surprised to catch multiple sightings of it on other plates as we were walking out. The optics on that one were very unique, a bifurcated heart shape with a heavy dose of predictable pinks and reds. I hadn't really thought about it until now, but my sushi taste tends to go pretty savory with an emphasis on spicy tunas and wasabi mayo, that kind of thing. This is definitely on the sweeter side, which I'm assuming is primarily because of the honey. Regardless, it pairs really well with the rest of the ingredients. One of the better new sushi rolls I've tried recently, and it doesn't seem like I'm in the minority on that one. The service was very good; the Millennial Chum has been here before and said she'd had some issues on prior visits. Thankfully not a problem on this particular adventure - everyone had plans later in the evening and we were able to get in and out of here pretty quickly, probably within 40, 45 minutes or so. The price point wasn't bad either. Admittedly I'm used to being gauged on the regular in Midtown Manhattan, but special rolls being around $15 are a treat in and of itself. I'm not going to say that this is mouth-droppingly amazing sushi, but I think you have to grade on a slight curve in this area - Monmouth is pretty much a barren wasteland when it comes to its gastro offerings so when you find something decent, it's worth noting. Nemo is worth noting.

Still the absolute best. I love that you can get sushi and a variety of so many wonderful dinners…read more In the summer there are fabulous views sitting on the deck looking at the water.
