Shoes for comfort are definitely more on my radar as I've gotten older. I typically don't buy something full price and wait for sales, but even without a discount, the value and durability of the shoes are worth it. I hadn't purchased a pair of Crocs in several years. I decided to take the family to buy some due to our many strolls that require a lot of walking. A couple of the kids were complaining of their feet hurting which as everyone knows, painful feet puts a huge damper on your experience. Crocs at Irvine Spectrum, is located close to Dave n Busters as you're heading towards The Cheesecake Factory. Once we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who told us about the specials and gave us coupons for extra discounts. They were very helpful and knowledgeable of their products. There are so many Crocs to choose from, ranging in style and colors. There is a definitely a shoe for everyone. Personalizing with jibbits makes them even better. I have no complaints really...except that the store needs more places to sit for fittings. There was only one little spot close to the back room. If we wanted to get up and grab other shoes, we couldn't leave our stuff there because other buyers would have no place to try on theirs. If staff needed to get by, we were in their way, so it was an odd place to be. Note for online orders, returns or exchanges. I called and confirmed that you can do them in store, however, be sure you are aware. They do not carry everything that the online store offers. So exchanges will be limited. I am already scouting my next pair. Crocs, are super comfy shoes I can walk in for a long time without breaking the bank. That's a win win if you ask me. He told me they were very expensive, intended for marathon runners, and that they generally would not let someone try them if they only planned to use them for walking. He also mentioned that serious buyers might not want a pair after other people had tried it on. I was not even offered one of those dummy shoes for sizing. The way it was said felt dismissive and left me feeling like I had already been judged as someone who was not a serious customer. What confused me most was that a few minutes later, the person shopping with me asked to try the exact same shoe and was allowed to do so immediately, without being questioned about how they planned to use it or being warned about the price. I brought the situation to someone who appeared to be part of the management team. Although she apologized, most of the conversation focused on explaining the store's procedure and suggesting that I could have asked another associate. That did not really address why the same apparent rule was applied differently. They later offered a discount on the other person's purchase and asked whether I still wanted to try the shoe, but by then I no longer felt comfortable shopping for myself. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but this interaction left me feeling singled out, embarrassed, and unwelcome. She is a regular shopper at your store. We had dinner in the cafe the night before, somehow my aunts small leather wallet had fallen out of her purse and on to the floor in the Nordstroms cafe. We had an excellent dinner, as usual. We didn't realize until we arrived home later in the evening, that her wallet had fallen onto the floor of your restaurant Of course my aunt was upset that this happened. At the time, so didn't know exactly where she lost her wallet. All she knew was, it wasn't in her purse. We decided we had no choice, but to wait to speak with someone at the store early in the morning. Early the next morning, before the store opened, we contacted the Nordstrom lost and found. We spoke with Christoper in the lost and found department. We shared with him our dilemma and he promptly called us back and found my aunt brown leather wallet. Christopher arranged to meet us outside in front of the store, before the store was scheduled to open. We gave him a phone call when we were outside the store and he met us outside. Wow!! We were so happy!! My aunt was thrilled her wallet was found and everything was secure. Christopher was so polite and professional, he was able to reassure my aunt early that morning, that he had her wallet and everything would be fine. We appreciated Christopher's efforts so much!! My Aunt was thankful we were able to connect with Christoper and that her wallet was completely secure, We are truly grateful for all Christopher's efforts. After we picked up the wallet from Christopher in front of the Fashion Island, Nordstrom we were able to make our appointment to the DMV in Costa Mesa with my aunts wallet and drivers license. I wasn't certain enough to buy the pair that fit best, but seemed a bit large (I was correct, ultimately). Too bad, the color was far better in person than viewing it online. While I didn't buy the anything, it was still nice to see the selection and layout. I do recommend trying before buying online, especially here in Socal, because the main distribution warehouse is in Moreno Valley and sometimes orders arrive within a couple days. I did buy a pair of the Challenger 8s at the REI in Tustin because I found my size there, but had to compromise a little on color. Oh well, great shoes overall regardless.
