There was an event taking place, with many patrons playing a card-based strategy game toward the back. Good crowd and everyone seemed to be having fun. Retro game selection was impressive. Plenty to look through if that was your goal. However, we were hoping to pick up some newer games and simultaneously support a small, local, business. Selection of newer stuff was nominal, which was disheartening. Staff said hello, but never approached, never offered to help or strike up conversation. Prices were a bit higher than anticipated. However, I'd willingly pay it to support a local, non-chain, store. However, there wasn't much for me here when I visited.

I prefer coming here over a GameStop or Best Buy because of the customer service you get here, its kind of like your family rather than having to wait 20 minutes just for someone to take care of you... However recently we were in the area and I thought it would be cool to stop in. When I walk through the door I was surprised by all the changes they did to the store, which were for the positive. The store is at treasure trove of different things including pops , toys, table, top things, and board games. There are likely more things than I forgotten, but everything in the genre they seem to have a level of something. When I went in the person who was behind the counter was super friendly and greeted me and asked if I needed help. I told him I was just browsing and he told me to let him know if and I needed anything. I let him know the last I was in the store and just wanted to browse around and we waxed poetic a little bit about the store changing. I was surprised they had the brand new d&d campaign for Venca in the special edition. So I picked that up. All in all I thought their prices were fair and the store was pretty nice. If you were local I would not hesitate to come by.

When I said I was paying with my card, the person working there looked at me like I was stupid and went on a weird hypothetical rant about how he'd lose money if he accepted card payments. He even asked what I'd do if all systems shut down and we couldn't rely on technology which was completely unnecessary and made no sense whatsoever. He then asked me and the people I was with if none of us had three dollars in cash, which was honestly something I've never experienced at any business before. If there's a card minimum, just say so or put up a sign. It really isn't that hard. The whole interaction was uncomfortable and off-putting. On top of that, we overheard him loudly giving a random kid what sounded like awful work advice basically encouraging him to expect being yelled at on the job. The conversation was so loud we could hear it throughout the store. Not appropriate, and not something customers should have to listen to. So ya, put up a sign.
