I have shopped Old Navy for years, and frequently here because of its location. But here are some…read moredetails on a shopping experience this afternoon at the Mall of America Old Navy Store which will make me never shop at Old Navy ever again. Cashier #2832756 (I did not catch her name) was ringing my purchase. I had my driver's license out and my credit card. As she was finishing my transaction, she gave me a confused look and asked me if I was military. I was confused, but answered 'no'. She told me she didn't need to see my driver's license. I told her the back of my credit card requests to check my ID. She told me, "We don't do that". Then she gave me the total of my sale, and I informed her there was a sign on the fixture that said the shirts were 30% off. We both walked over to the fixture with all the shirts towards the front of the store. She looked at the sign and a few of the shirts and told me, "It's 30% off clearance items, and none of these shirts are on clearance." We walked back to the cashwrap and finished my transaction. As I was leaving the store, there was another Old Navy employee standing at that same fixture, and I told him that sign was misleading. He looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. I don't know if the cashier was not trained properly to check shopper's IDs when their credit cards request that or if Old Navy truly has a policy not to check IDs. In today's world of fraud, that's troubling enough. And why have a sale sign on a fixture that does not have any sale items on it? Apparently Old Navy feels as if it's making enough money off of people that their employees don't feel like they need to provide any customer service. I choose to vote with my consumer dollars, and I'll be taking my money elsewhere.

The sales were so amazing today, that I felt like they were practically giving stuff away. I bought…read more14 items. I paid $85, & my savings was $96.70. I saved over 50%. Old Navy rules, period. I got some PJ's, t-shirts, tank tops, long sleeve tops, & even some of those ugly black velour pants. What, I wear them when I travel internationally. You would too, if you traveled for over 24 hours at a time. Plus, I think I paid like $5 for them. This is the place for great prices on basics. So hurry up & go get yourself some ugly velour pants for $5 too.

I love finding baby clothes here because they can grow out of them so fast! Some clothing items or shoes can be as low as a $1.50 with brand labels being only $8 for some name brands like Nike. Those same items might have been $35+ brand new. Especially for the littlest items they are essentially only sleeping in. I am a personal fan of the onsie wall. I like that it is all organized by size and then color. I want gender neutral colorful clothes so its very easy for me to find my babies current size and the next size up. It is a hunt like all the other consignment and preowned stores. I always think the hunt is worth it and its very satisfying finding a deal. I have found the empolyees to be kind and efficient and let me shop independently.

The sales woman said it would be about half hour to go through them. we came back then and they said they would only take 2 items out of 30. She said they are not excepting girls clothes sizes 4-10 at this time. Why would they not tell us when we came in or have a sign saying that. They crumble the clothes and threw them back in the basket. Don't ever go to that store again.
