The store is ok. I used to shop there a lot, but I won't come there anymore and I am cancelling Gap card. All because of an untrained and inattentive employee who threw me out of the store today after he ignored my request, and did the transaction the way I didn't want it to be done and after I tried to insist that I want it the way I asked, he told me to leave the store and threatened to call the police. Ha! Nice way to train your staff how to work and treat an elderly customer. So, this is what happened. I bought two sweatshirts in November (less than 30 days ago) with two different transactions by paying with my GAP card and a store credit card. A couple of days ago my daughter bought the same two sweatshirts (not knowing that I got them for a holiday gift) and paid with her Visa, but punched my phone number for points. Today I brought "my" shirts to return (all with labels, but I didn't have a printed receipt, as I never take printed receipts, because all is online on my GAP card), and I asked the cashier (a young guy) to post return on my GAP card and on store credit card, as on the original payment. I repeated this several times, explaining him what happened AND how I would like him to handle the return. I gave him my GAP card (before I came to the store, I looked at my account and all transactions were there, no problem to see them). He ran my GAP card, but couldn't find the transaction (well, it was in November, but less than 30 days ago). So, instead of making more efforts to search for the transaction, or asking for help, he asked for my phone number and with phone number he pulled up the VISA receipt that my daughter paid. Without even telling me, he issued the return on my daughter's VISA card (he just told me that it went back on VISA card, but he didn't print me a credit receipt). This was NOT how I wanted it. I asked him to do it the way I asked to do from the very beginning (he evidently didn't listened well for my request, or he just didn't want to bother). He told me that he did what he did and there was no other way to do it. He basically brushed me off. All the talking so far was in a polite manner, with calm voices, both he and I, but he clearly wanted just to get rid of me. When I insisted that he should put the charge back on my daughter's VISA and credit my GAP card, he became nervous, his hands were shaking and he started doing some transactions. I asked him, what he was doing, and he answered me disrespectfully border rude, "Just let me finish what I am doing", and after that he threw me the printed receipt saying, here, I put the credit back on your card. And he went to the back room. I thought that he gave me receipt for VISA credit, but he actually gave me credit on my GAP card in addition to credit on VISA. I waited till he came out of the back room, and when he appeared, he was mad to see me still there, and he yelled, "I gave you credit on both cards, what else do you want?" I told him that I want the charge on VISA and credit on GAP card (I don't need his charity crediting both cards, lol, but it was not his money, it was GAP money, so what did he care), and I asked for his name. He yelled that he was not going to give me his name and ordered me to leave the store, or he threatened to call the police. There was an older employee there and I addressed her, asking for help to clear the situation. Without even trying to understand what was going on, she also told me to leave the store. I left, of course, what else could I do. When I came home, I checked my CCs. BOTH VISA and GAP cards had pending credits. So, he basically used GAP money to get rid of me. Oh well, I thought, fine, I tried... but if so, I'll have two credits, both on VISA and GAP. But obviously the older employee got into the situation later and when I checked my GAP card a couple of hours later, the pending credit transaction was gone. Pity that I didn't take a screenshot, but I kept the credit receipt with the employee number (attaching the copy). Tell me, is this the the way to train your employees, GAP??? They don't listen what a customer asks, then they don't ask for help when they don't know how to reverse their mistake, but they just credit the company money twice and when a customer tries to tell that it was not the right way, they resort to insulting a polite elderly customer by throwing her out of the store. Fine. Cancelling my GAP card and NEVER shopping GAP again. Not in that location, not any other. read more

Gap Factory - Credit on my GAP card that disappeared later. - Children's Clothing Near Me - Long Beach, California

I have been there about 4 times and all different occasions have been mediocre. The selection is good for women but the staff is terrible. Manager is incompetent, asking her to help unlock the fitting room since there's a line of people waiting to go in, she just pointed and said they are unlocked which they were not. Customers on the line waiting to try things on even looked under the doors and no one was in them. She just didn't want to be bothered. Didn't even want to look up at me when I was in the line paying. Others girls the cashiers also terrible customer service, not courteous at all. read more

The good was I found cool items at discounted prices. The bad was I was treated poorly by the cashier- which was surprising bc she was friendly earlier. I was shopping for scarves and people were in line behind me. I let each of these people know that I wasn't in line yet. When I was ready to purchase I stood right where the previous customers who were helped stood and she helped a man who JUST walked up the to line of the other side. I just knew she was going to help me since I had been there for so long. But NOPE she helped him and I said -okayyy. And walked over to where he was standing hoping to get some service. That guy looked right in my face as he walked up to the register before me. He could have said - oh she was here first but no. I had to write this review to help myself feel better since what happened had not been acknowledged whatsoever. I guess I just don't have that AUTO "privilege" that other folks have. Always organized and good deals. Came in recently and the staff was very attentive and the guy with glass and fro like hair helped me out and was very helpful trying to get me a deal off already reduced merch. I signed up for some program and would've tried for a credit card I had my ID. Don't frequent the GAP often but would definitely come back to this one. read more

We brought in Gap Outlet merchandise to exchange and they accepted them even though they were purchases made in Lake Elsinore. Cool. Then we were buying other clothes and they gave us credit for Style Cash coupons and then on top of that we got 25% off for signing up on the Gap Visa. [The Gap Visa also includes additional 10% off anything purchased in two months.] Angelina helped us with the returns and new purchases, then Assistant Manager Marisa helped us on different register to save even more when we decided on more items to get over $200 total (to use both Style Cash coupons). Wow, our total is $54.99, 2 men's jeans, 2 women's jeans, 2 sweaters, 2 sets pjs, toddler jeans, total saved $366.88. It took a while at the register longer than it took to shop, but it was worth it. Those girls went our if their way to make it happen! Well recommended, we will return! read more

Lots of reasonably priced merchandise even after christmas. Only one checker and everyone else was stocking shelves.

Good selection of girls clothes. Store is clean. Staff helpful. Love shopping here when there is an additional percentage off of already marked Clearance items. Great for stocking up on basics for the Fall and Winter. read more

I've always loved the Gap but wished there was something closer to downtown. I 'memba back in 2007? 2008? When they made those Promenade condos on Broadway & Promenade the Gap was supposed to be somewhere in that building but it's only restaurants to show for. But I am happy this store opened yesterday! It's long overdue and we need more brand stores so I don't have to go to Lakewood mall. Downtown needs more new clothes fashion action! Prices here are really cheap compared to the regular Gap stores so it's easy on my wallet. They have everything here: for babies, children, men, women, don't know if there's anything for plus sizes. All I know is this is place has quality denim so I will keep on coming back! There's wonderful accessories too for cheap! Scarves, socks, jewelry, adorable reusable tote bags, shoes, flip flops, etc....salesgirls were very welcoming and helpful, always checking up on me. Welcome to downtown Long Beach! read more

I'm a big fan of Gap clothing (especially Banana Republic for work) so it made me happy to know that reduced clothing was available right in the Pike Outlets shopping mall. Everything in here was arranged well and it was easy to navigate. We were here during July 4th weekend so a huge sale was taking place. I walked out with two light sweaters (when out on the boat), lightweight jeans (I'm not a fan of jeans in general since they seem to be heavy and weigh my legs down), and flip flops. Flip flops seems to be the choice of shoes here so I actually felt out of place walking around in my sneakers, haha Inexpensive, great deals, and reduced pricing on classic Gap wear that the brand is synonymous with. Great customer service too. The cashier kept me engaged and gave me tips on where to go eat. read more

I shop at Gap because of it's amazing quality and styles that lasts for years. The products at this factory however are the total opposite,everything looks so tacky. Great staff and service tho! The store could be a bit more orginized. Not much you could find in the womens section. And you could honestly find better deals at a normal Gap store. read more

Good selection, but they really rush you out of there even 10 min before closing time. Can't even stay a minute after 9pm even if you're in the fitting rooms. I could feel some employees giving me evil eye hardcore, felt very uncomfortable. I'm really sorry I just lost track of time! I even dropped over $100 in cash but oh well. One employee even screamed out loud "oh my god" when I was looking at a shirt & didn't fold it perfectly right when I put it back... I've never felt so rushed out of a store before..
