    This was the worst Lane Bryant visit that I've ever experienced. My daughter and I visited this Lakewood, CA location on a lunch and shopping day. My daughter is going off to college soon, and we "were" having a great day. When we arrived in the store we were the ONLY customers there. We immediately began looking at bras as we worked our way towards the front/register area. There was an associate behind the area BEHIND the register counter. I told her that I was looking for a certain bra, and she came up to approach us. I raised my blouse to show her which one. I purchase them all of the time. I also apologized for lifting my blouse. We both laughed. She then pointed to the back of the store area to direct me in the area those particular bras were WITHOUT assisting! Mind you, we were the ONLY two people in the store. My daughter and I shopped around for a while looking for bras. The associate (Teresa), her name according to my receipt, NEVER asked if we needed assistance or a bra fitting. I have been a regular LB customer and card holder for over 20 years, maybe closer to 30! I know the routine. I wanted one of the bras I was purchasing in the color brown. I walked back to the front and asked Teresa if they had my size in that brown. She nonchalantly said we have only what's out there... I instantly became annoyed. I then asked her if she could see if they had it on the website. To my surprise, she said, "I doubt it because those were Fall colors, and we have Spring stuff out now." I then asked again, she appeared annoyed. I said, "Please don't make me beg you to look it up. She rudely asked, "What color again?" Now I'm FURIOUS, but I don't want to get my daughter upset if I cause a scene! She rudely began searching on the computer, and I had to walk away looking at other clothing items to keep calm! I continued shopping around until my daughter came to the register with her items to purchase. I had won a gift card in a raffle at the Lane Bryant Torrance location (by the way has OUTSTANDING customer service) almost a year ago and wanted to redeem it at checkout My daughter presented it to her, and she said slide it. My 17 year old daughter did, but there was an issue because we hadn't scratched the code from the back of the card. She watched my daughter struggle to scratch it off. I then handed my daughter my Lane Bryant credit card to scratch it off with. I was told by my sister last night that they have a scratch pad right there to remove it. The associate never mentioned it or assisted. A manager or another associate came from the back with papers in her hand and was leaning on the counter going over the paparwork next to us. It looked like she was doing the schedule or something. She appeared to be more friendly and professional and smiled and giggled at me talking to my daughter. I was burning up mad on the inside at Teresa's treatment. I wanted to complain right then and there, but it would not have been pretty, and I didn't want to ruin our mommy and daughter day. I held it in but thought about it all night. I did the store survey at 6 am. I am now doing this Yelp report! Teresa had a smirk on her face the entire time and spoke to me almost condescendingly! She was rude and unprofessional! I am an African American woman almost 60 years old, I took this treatment very personally. Rarely do I bite my tongue, but I did it to keep the peace. My daughter and I had shopped at Macy's, JC Penneys, and made purchases at all of those places and went to lunch in the mall prior to visiting Lane Bryant. I wasn't going to allow her to spoil our day, but I'm also not going to let that treatment go without reporting it either! Customer Service at it's worse!!!!

    Torrid knows how to treat a big girl. Fans in the waiting rooms!!!! Yas!!!!! The mirrors are always well lit.

    This woman has been at the register for 15 minutes. No exaggeration.

    This is the slowest check out process ever. This is why ppl shop online. I've been standing here, in line, for 20 minutes and I've barely moved. I'm not sure what's taking so long but this is insane. It feel like all the employees are moving as slowly as they can. Never again.

    Lazy employees!!

    Came here New Year day with my wife to get her some new bras. Dhe needed to be fitted but we got no help. No one greeted us, asked us if we needed help or even acknowledged our presence. Attached picture is of the two employees chatting about their life problems instead of working. My wife even went to the dressing room and let herself in?! $15 minimum wage, here we come

    Service was exceptional. Every associate was knowledgable and helpful. The line was a bit slow, but the service was worth the wait.

I've passed by here numerous times, always interested in going in one day. Well, today was the day and just so happens to be Small Business Saturday. Shortly before closing, I was in the area and finally had a chance to experience this shopping gem. What a beautifully laid out store. There is quite the variety of clothes in various patterns and styles to suit a range of tastes as well as accessories from jewelry, scarves, and hats to shoes and purses. I was expecting higher prices being a boutique store, but it was surprisingly very reasonable. This was my first time here and I am very happy with my purchases. I'll be back to support them again soon.

She was able to rush the alterations and do them with only 3 days notice (dont put this kind of stress on her if you dont have to, but I am extremely grateful that she was able to do this for me!). In addition to Linda's beautiful dresses, this is also a beautiful boutique with chic fashion- jeans, tops, purses, shoes, jewelry, accessories. One stop shop to put together a perfect outfit for any occasion.    One more thing I HAVE to mention- Linda also has a really good fashion sense and an eye for what looks good on your body type. Didn't even tell her my size. She was very quick and is absolutely amazing at what she does. I also felt bad because I needed my dress before Thursday, but it needed to be altered. She said that this was fine and that I could pick up my dress Wednesday! Mind you, I came in on a Monday!!! Again, cannot recommend this place enough!

Unfortunately, the excitement ended the moment we walked through the door. We weren't greeted, welcomed, or acknowledged. Instead, the employee behind the counter immediately began staring us down like we were criminals. The store is covered with handwritten signs telling customers what NOT to do, which should have been our first clue about the atmosphere. Even my husband commented that we should leave because of how uncomfortable and unwelcome the employee was making us feel. Despite that, my daughter found a squishy she loved, so we decided to make a purchase. While I was paying, my son and daughter were looking at keychains that were placed directly on the checkout counter. One accidentally came apart, and before my transaction was even finished, the cashier snapped, "Your daughter broke that, now you have to pay for it." I asked for my receipt and declined. The cashier then went to another employee, who came over and scolded me about making sure my daughter didn't touch the keychains. Here's a thought: if you're so concerned about children touching merchandise, don't place small, fragile items directly in front of customers at the register. What upset me most was that my daughter left in tears. She came into this store excited to spend her own money on something she loved and left feeling embarrassed and upset over the way we were treated. I've never felt so unwelcome in a store. The employees acted as though customers were an inconvenience rather than the reason they have a business. The entire experience felt hostile, judgmental, and rude from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. Needless to say, we will never be back. There are plenty of places that sell squishies and cute collectibles without treating families like a problem. Save your money and support businesses that know how to treat customers with basic kindness and respect.
