The mall is Ridgedale. It's a good location if you want some privacy and plenty of stock because they don't have a massive amount of customers. Neither does the whole mall. It's definitely kind of a boutique on the higher end of the expense and class scale, with kind of expensive stuff that's like Bohemian and Artisan clothing - so definitely nothing that Barbie would be interested in, but we still respect the shop, and the people working here really friendly.

Claustrophobic, overstuffed little store that gives me anxiety. They have some cute things for teens that aren't too outrageously priced. My 16-yr old daughter found a dress she tried on and liked. Once she got home and tried it on again in a space where she could move around, she decided she didn't like the way it fit. When she returned it a few days later, they handed her a receipt and told her the money would be back in her account in 7-10 business days. After 3 weeks, the money still wasn't in her account, so we drove back to the store. 3 girls were working in the store-one was playing with accessories on a mannequin, one was just standing by the registers watching her, ignoring customers and the third girl was helping the long line of customers. When we finally got to the cashier, we explained the situation. She looked like a deer in the headlights, turned to the 2 girls standing around and whined "helpy!" Another girl came over, heard our situation, stared at us blankly for a while, then said "oh, but your receipt says it was an even exchange. We can't do anything." And walked away. I can assure you my daughter returned a dress and was given nothing in exchange. She and my husband didn't look closely at the return receipt because they were VERBALLY ASSURED the money would be returned to her account within days. I understand mistakes happen, but it's frustrating. Because one cashier didn't understand the difference between "return" and "exchange" in the computer, my daughter is out $40 of her own hard-earned money and there's nothing we can do.

Some shops are empty and others are being remodeled and opening again. I visited on a Friday (Valentine's Day) and it was pretty steady but not packed, I could find a place to sit down and relax by myself if I wanted to (and I did!) Shop selection is meh, I went into a few but didn't find anything to purchase which is just fine by me - I needed a place to hang out that was warm and this was it! Bubble tea, Caribou and smoothies to choose from - I didn't see a food court but I wasn't particularly looking.

There's only a handful of store I really shop at here but I'm sure overall there's something for everyone. I feel like Ridgedale has been one of the consistent malls (as far as growing up in MN and seeing a lot of malls struggle to keep stores) that never felt like it was closing. I do wish they would decorate more especially for the holidays. They have the Santa pop up in the middle of the mall which is cute but that's its own experience. Also a somewhat better food court would be cool, but there are a ton of options for food outside of the mall/in the area. They do host cool events from time to time like the traveling Hello Kitty Cafe, which is cool.

Well I'd say this is a pretty prime example of it! I've been to plenty of Plato's Closets and this one definitely takes the cake for higher end, bougie, brand name items. In the store you can expect entire sections on: - Free People - Hunter boots - Uggs - Love Your Melon - Victoria's Secret And a ton of athletic wear like Lululemon, Nike, etc. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for these brands! I would come back to buy but not sell because I don't wear a lot of the brand names they're looking for. I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because I do think their selection is very well curated with these bigger brands. However without this positive, I would opt for 1 or 2 stars. I came in with the intention to sell but once I walked into the store and say the daunting wall of Uggs and Free People shrine I pretty much knew they weren't going to take anything. When I arrived I don't think I was even greeted by the woman or man behind the counter. The woman just started going through my bags and asked me if I could sign in. I just peaked around the store a little but wasn't planning to buy. Once I was done walking around for maybe 5 minutes, I went to the counter because I assumed they were done. There was no one at the counter but there was no indication as to whether they were ready for me and my bags weren't insight... Finally the man gave me my bags and let me know that they were passing on everything because of slight wear and styles that don't do well for them. Overall this Plato's does a lot better than others in stocking brand names but also does a pretty horrible job at customer service. I would endure rude employees to come back for brands if I had to but I don't think it'd be too enjoyable of an experience!

Three times now I've left with my full basket of clothes and another basket on top practically falling through the door with it because it's only getting bigger with each time they tell me they aren't excepting clothes this late in the day. It's early afternoon? A lot of us work in the morning and dropping off clothes in the early afternoon shouldn't be this much of an issue, three times worth. Not to mention they took the people's clothes just in front of me, but told me that was their last take and left me standing there with my pile of clothes. Just so condescending. Rude! Will not be coming back, not a chance.
