Do NOT work with Gappsi! We purchased a stone that they gave us a good price on, low and behold after waiting weeks, it wasn't available so they offered us something else, not as nice and NOT a good price. They offered nothing off the new stone. It was a bait and switch because the salesman said he didn't think the one we picked was available and the owner Guisseppi said oh yes it is. Now let's move on to the BIG reason not to book with them. They will offer you a price to put in your patio, they deliver many skids, the workers make a cut for a 1/2 or 1/4 tile and throw the rest in a waste pile. At the end of the job they charge you for all the waste! Instead of charging you for square foot installed (they way it's done in the industry) they charge you for square foot of material used. We have had 2 other patio's put in (not by them) and we also asked at the stone yard how things are priced and every one of them said the price INCLUDES waste. We were also told that by Gappsi and we confirmed that in an email before the start of the job. Mike (who ran the job and was our salesman) NEVER showed up on site for 2 weeks while his workers who spoke little or no English tried to complete the job. When he finally did show up there was a problem with levels and he starts yelling at us like it was our fault. We ended up paying more to fix it ("at cost" he said but it WASN'T). They wanted us to pay in full near the end of the job when there were some things not completed yet. We held back a few thousand until the work was complete and Guisseppe was not happy and made it known. Finally when all was complete we went to the shop to pay and he charged us for all the waste which was about $5000.00 more than the estimate he gave us. We refused to pay the extra since we had asked him about it and confirmed by email. They were trying to RIP US OFF! The "nice guy" Guisseppi got in my husband's face and they almost got in a brawl right at the shop! Then he threatened to come back and remove part of the patio worth the $5000.00. We told him if he steps on our property we will have him arrested. He got even madder and he threatened to sue us which he never did because we were right! Gappsi is not a reputable company in my opinion and I would never work with them again. read more

It's been more than 10yrs since Gappsi delivered an amazing makeover of my property.  The stunning paver driveway, walkway, patio along with jaw-dropping evergreen royal garden development provides endless enjoyment for the family with minimal maintenance. In November of 2021, a portion of my walkway had to be taken down due to sewer main replacement work.  It was upsetting that the plumbing company not only removed the pavers of the walkway, but heavily damaged it as it is easy for them to finish their work.  Once the water main replacement work was completed, I reached out to Gappsi for assistance immediately.  Fortunately, Giuseppe, the owner of Gappsi, responded to my inquiry promptly and made a visit to my house the following day to assess the situation.   On his visit, he performed a thorough inspection throughout the entire property, not just the damaged walkway; then, he politely informed me with details on his planned repair work and assured me that the walkway would be put back as before.  He really put my worries at ease that day.  Before his departure, he asked me if I had any rainwater issue in my basement as he noticed the grass of my back lawn had grown higher than the patio, which affects the water drainage.  I acknowledged his question and told him that it's been a headache for me lately but not sure what can be done to resolve the issue. Three weeks later, Gappsi finished their magical work and the paved walkway was back better than before.  The Gappsi team also repaired and replaced other minor chipped pavers throughout the property, which is beyond the scope of the work.  Furthermore, the Gappsi team raised the top step of my basement stairs to prevent rainwater from running into my basement.  Gappsi delivered exceptional work once again.  It absolutely exceeded my expectations.  Giuseppe's thoroughness and attention to detail is second to none.  I sincerely thank Gappsi for everything, so I may joyfully enjoy the holiday season. I will start by saying that I really never type reviews, mostly because I am usually disappointed in the quality of any work I get done. Not this time. I used Gappsi for a complete outside renovation with pool and large patio, retaining walls and full chimney resurfacing with stacked stone. I could not be any happier from start to finish. True professionals through every step of the way. They are very detail oriented and knowledgeable about all of their work. They even took care of multiple issues that inevitably came up along the way. They just fixed what needed to be fixed. Even when I changed my mind on a few areas that costed them extra time. They aim to please for a satisfied customer. All of their input and advice was spot on. And for one time in my life, the price was the price! No BS charges! Everyone I came in contact with from owner, project manager, pool renovator, to every single worker was top notch. Giuseppe, Tosh, Greg, Mario, Jose... and everyone else. Such a great operation with great people. They obviously care about and know their work....Additionally, about a month after installation, I had an unfortunate huge rust stain from tools and scraps left out in the rain from another company. It spread terribly throughout over 800 sq ft of my brand new patio, and I was devastated. I inquired on the Gappsi website for advice late Friday night of a holiday weekend expecting a response some time the following week....Giuseppe himself returned my inquiry immediately and sent two workers the next day. Thankfully they were able to fix the problem, and would not even charge me! Our experience with Gappsi began in August., 2017 and it was purely by chance. My husband found their website, and dropped by their business after setting up an appointment with another pool builder down the block from them. Immediately upon walking into their place of business, he received a hospitable reception which gave him the "warm and fuzzy" feeling he likes to get when doing a business transaction. This is his indication of an honest, trustworthy company. And his intuition proved to be right. Having spent months prior doing research, we knew exactly what we wanted, a gunite pool to fit the existing landscape of our nice sized yard. The owner, Giuseppe Abbrancati, came out, took notes and pictures of our yard, and within a week, had computer generated renderings, which we were able to modify on the spot. Giuseppe and his son, Emmanuel, did a phenomenal job at giving us exactly what we wanted, instead of trying to sell us on the expensive add-on features that we didn't want. And what that enabled us to do was go bigger with our free-form design, one of the largest residential gunite pools they had done and at a very reasonable price. The only major hiccup was when their project manager had to be replaced, but once that hurdle was overcome, the newly assigned project manager, Tash, made sure getting our pool, the gas lines, the electrical, the masonry, the sodding and landscaping were all completed in time for the opening of our pool in June, 2018. We are delighted and thrilled beyond measure at our resort style backyard. We would recommend Gappsi, a family run business, to all!! Hi, Let me start by saying I am a very picky person. I try to do everything myself so it is done right. When I have to hire a contractor to work in my house, I watch them very closely to make sure it is done correctly. That being said we met with all the contractors in our area. We finally decided on Gappsi. We just moved into this house, so we needed lots of help with the layout and design. The people at Gappsi spent hours helping us with the layout. When we finally decided on a design we signed the contract. We change the design four times before the installation. Each time the people at Gappsi were very helpful. The employees that installed the pool were very respectful to my property. We decided to install a slide instead of a diving board. When the slide arrive they are unpacked and assembled it. After it was assembled my wife and I did not like the way it looked. They let us choose a different slide even though this one was already assembled in yard. Next came the patio, again the contractors were very respectful for my property. As they were installing the patio my wife and I change the design on them. They accommodated us without issue. The construction crew work long hours, late nights even Saturday and Sundays to get the job done promptly. We were so happy with the end result we decided to have Gappsi pave our driveway. Over the winter some of the stones shifted around. So I called to let them know what happened. Giuseppe (the owner) got back to me personally. About 25 years ago we hired Gappsi to do our paver driveway and our patio. Giuseppe and his crew did a great job. They were professional and got the job done as planned with no issues. Giuseppe is always a phone call away if you need him for anything. Over the years as a paver moved or broke they were always here to fix or level or replace as needed. So when my wife and I decided to do a backyard makeover we knew who we were going to call. From the design work to the complete construction of the project, they were nothing but professional. We did a big project in our backyard, including a pool, outdoor kitchen pavilion and built-in fire pit. We began a business relationship with Gappsi more than 20 years ago. At that time, like today, Gappsi was leading the way in landscape design and paving stone installation. I've hired Gappsi for many projects over the years. I recently reached out to them for maintenance work and I'm thrilled with the outcome! They've made my backyard look brand new again! Giuseppe, I would like to start by saying that the best decision that me and my husband made was to use Gappsi for our pool installation, deck, and driveway. We Searched around and spoke to many companies and Gappsi was the most Reasonable price and the most friendliest of the people that we interviewed. Gappsi installed a free form pool with the Travertine bricks throughout my whole backyard. We also put in a bar/BBQ area. GAPPSI installed our limestone front walkway, our granite driveway, our travertine pool patio (including BBQ, fire pit and hot tub areas), and our travertine basement entrance (on walls and stairs). At each step of the process, we knew exactly what we were getting - pure perfection. From their owner, Giuseppe, to their foremen and workers, everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, professional, hardworking and meticulous. Although our project was done about ten years ago, we continue to call GAPPSI every couple of years to seal our natural stones. Gappsi was recommended to us by friends. In June of 2000, we hired them to design our driveway and walkway using Nicolock Paving Stones. Choosing Giuseppi and Gappsi to perform the work was one of the best investments we have ever made. The design and stone work was beautiful and absolutely flawless. People have actually stopped their cars and asked us who did our work. Over the past 20 years, some of the pavers have settled causing some areas to slightly dip. I called the office to set up an appointment for Giuseppi (the owner of the company) to stop by and assess the situation. He arrived and looked everything over and said he would take care of it and drove off to his next appointment. One week later a team arrived and removed and replaced hundreds of paver stones. The driveway and walkway look brand new again, 20 years later! The quality of material and workmanship is outstanding. My first experience with Gappsi was in 2007. Giuseppe and his team redid my driveway, steps and patio. They did a fabulous job which is still evident over 16 years later. In 2021 we called Giuseppe again this time to clean and sealer the pavers. Again, they delivered on what they said and my pavers looked new again (this process is worth it). Which brings us to 2024. We recently had a new fence installed and the pavers by the gate were lifting up, preventing us from opening the gate. Rather than call the fence company I called Giuseppe. He came over (that day!) and explained the issue. The fence company did a poor job in putting the pavers back and now the freezing temperatures (water expands as it freezes) were lifting up the pavers. He said we would send some men over to fix the issue. They arrived the next day and removed the lifting pavers, re-formulated the sand underneath and it looks perfect again. Giuseppe said there was no charge! I doubt there are other companies who would stand by their work 16 years later (it wasn't even their fault). If you want the job done right, to last and to look beautiful call them. I give them my highest recommendation. read more
