They took the time to wait for the concrete to be *just* right before putting the finishing touches on it. Danny from SDV Construction came over to give his estimate and had the great idea of paving around the pool instead of decking. After he explained how it would be done using concrete retainers. I thought this would definitely solve our tying in problem. We agreed on a timeline, a surprisingly affordable price and a three part payment. I was happy to see that this company was big enough to order all of the necessary materials prior to any payment. The next day a crew was in my yard and work was under way. The crew was very respectful of my yard and kept things neat as the worked progressed. Two weeks later, and the finished product speaks for itself. I am extremely happy with the way my yard turned out. Especially considering that bigger contractors were quoting me almost double what I paid SDV Construction. We had an initial meeting with Designscapes, giving them a rough idea of what we wanted. Next week they had crafted a fantastic design plan for us with a budget, time estimate and estimated start date. They included some suggestions that we didn't even think about. They even gave us a list of suggested plantings for the flower beds. The project started when promised and finished within their time estimate. The price was exactly what was promised. There were no additional costs. The workers were here everyday and quite professional. The work is excellent and we have had no issues with the workmanship or materials used. All of our neighbors have commented on on how great the property now looks.

Kudos to the Cambridge rep, Chuck who tried to remedy the problem with his own labor, but the majority of white dots remain....End result: definitely use Dan for your job; do not use Cambridge...or any other paving stone company that fails to alert you to the possibility of this occurrence.
