Back in 2019-04-08 Mr. Morales, Manager at Maxey's performed what was supposed to be a total and complete rebuild, which turns out was not done. When I got the truck home, I experienced some of the same problems I was having before rebuild. I took it back Mr. Morales after a couple days. He called me to pick up my truck, saying it was fixed and the problem was a bad valve in the valve body, which he replaced. I got it home, still having problems. I called Mr. Morales, whom asked me to bring it back. This time, after a couple days, he called and asked me to pick it up cause he could not find a value body to replace the bad one. He was to call me when he was able to find one after 2 weeks. I went to another shop, it turns out they were associates. The tech there said a value body for a 1996 F150 is easy to find, so the tech and Mr. Morales agreed the tech would make it right, which Mr. Morales would pay for. Unfortunately, after some time, he was too busy and unable to help me. Now, I am at another shop which, by the way are associates also, after a test drive, Master Mech told me that double clunking in reverse and delay into reverse and forward may not be a bad valve body. He also found loose bolts and nuts, cross members. There is some question about rebuild. Mr. Morales will not pay or refund my money. I would highly NOT recommend anyone bring their vehicles to Maxey's.

I'm aware of dealer service pricing, so I asked AI for service shops with reputations for honesty and integrity, and this place was one of the recommended shops. I made an appointment, which was very easy and quick, and Carlos took it in. He recommended reprogramming it, not replacing, got the problem corrected for about $800. Everything is now running smoothly. In addition he pointed out an issue with my battery connection, and I was able to take my car back to the quick oil change place I use and get them to fix it for free. Communication was very good with ASE throughout, they were very friendly and helpful, and I am very happy with the experience. Would definitely use them again!
