First of all, 1996 F250's only have a cutout in the bumper for one lamp so weren't even built to support two. Secondly, Texas Department of Public Safety Section 20.18 SubSec. 2c specifically states "Only one lamp is required" to pass inspection. This was verified on the "What's Inspected" list for trucks from DPS as well. Though this shop gets high rating my first visit was not positive and probably won't go back. That's unfortunate because I had a few small items that needed fixed and thought I'd have them done here to support a local business.

Rodrigo calls me late Friday to tell me he thinks it's the alternator shorting but wants to a full charge on the battery over night to make sure. Saturday he calls me to say it is the alternator but the root cause is the water pump, which is leaking and spraying the alternator. Monday night we picked it up - perfect, full explanation/demonstration of what he found, and reasonably priced work. We're not going anywhere else from here on out.

I had a horrible experience that led me to the shop, which was that I was scammed and the previous person destroyed the cosmetic appearance of the vehicle, they sanded it down when it didn't even need to be sanded, because it needed only paintless dent repair and not a new paint job, took off all interior door panels, door handles, and most other parts of the the vehicle were taken off and thrown in the back and it wasn't even driveable. None of the hail was repaired, there were multiple dings, and the scammer said they would replace hood and did not (the hood didn't even need replaced, only repaired.) Shawn, the owner at 5 Star has made my car look BRAND NEW. He took it upon himself to tell his team what had happened to me, and made a decision to help me out best financially any way he could. He saved me close to $2,000, he even did an interior deep detail without even being asked because of so much dust in the vehicle from the previous person. He re painted the whole car and the paint job is flawless. There were multiple loose parts broken from the previous person that 5 star had to call around to get replaced; and every single thing was put back in its place. When I saw the vehicle fixed I couldn't believe it was made to look like how I first bought it. This business is worth every penny and then some! Typical I left a negative review of Greg's work on my 57 chevy and he deleted it so here I go again…read morethis place was for convenience plus I have seen a few classic cars there as I drove by a few times and spoke with him about his love and ownership of classics he has personally (which he probably owns from scamming the customers like me) I took my bel air to him and the new parts for everything to be installed said a quote of $1999.00 and a week which unfortunately turned into nearly $3000 and 14 days since they are only open M-THURS which is very bizarre in itself after the second day he called and said my new suspension parts don't fit called the company where purchased got greg on the phone turns out they were doing it wrong (should have gotten the hell out of there then) figured simple mistake then I get a call that my rear disc brakes are wrong got then on another call turns out greg was wrong again then they wanted to drop the engine to run brake lines way off base again to the point of being called down right crazy!!!! Got it back engine making strange noises not going to drive it till a real professional takes a look at it next month in San Antonio men that live breathe and own TRI- FIVE cars. Greg's automotive is the worst shop I've ever dealt with and if you think his office is cluttered you should see the garage I should have looked at that before I let some fool work on my classic car. BEWARE!!!
