Garage door was slightly ajar and I hit it with the top of my SUV, knocking the garage door off the tracks and bending the garage door. I called Garage door experts at 6:30 pm assuming the worst but the Company was prompt in asking that I send pictures of the damage so they can ensure they had the right parts and tools for the job. I got a text at 7:10 pm saying the tech was 30 mins away. Alex showed up at 7:30 pm, assessed the damage and said it would be really expensive to replace everything but thought he could repair. He got to working quickly and was done within an hour. He said the repair took less materials than he originally thought and my final price was $100 cheaper than the estimate. Alex is the man. I had a spring go out on my garage door and found these guys on Yelp. I was able to use the "request quote" feature on Yelp and was able to get a price without picking up the phone. These guys had a competitive price and I was able to schedule a time through Yelp on the job same day. He was a few hours late and did not let me know, so that is why this is a not a 5-star review. The gentleman was very friendly and definitely knew what he was doing. He explained everything and was thorough. The entire job took about an hour and he tested the door and gave me the warranty information and number to call just in case. Just had another positive experience with Garage Door Experts. Well, two, actually. Last month, we had a minor problem with one of the two automatic garage doors they installed in 2020. They came and fixed it at no charge. I recently scheduled them to some maintenance/inspection work, which, unfortunately, got cancelled at a late moment. Then, the rescheduled appointment started a bit late. When it was time to pay for the service, they comped it. Why? Because it was their way to take responsibility and to show they value my business. We had GDE come in to fix the Bay Door for our business in September of 2020. We had a terrible experience. I wouldn't recommend choosing them to fix complicated problems. Details below: Job: They switched out the gear and the springs to our door. Day of: They estimated the work to be a half day job. It ended up taking over a full day. Many times when I checked in with the technician, he was sitting in a chair, seemingly checking distracted checking his phone for personal matters. After he was done, he said that the door would be tight, but the springs he installed will loosen up. 9 months later, the springs were still tight and eventually the chains slipped off the gears and the door could no longer function. We brought in another company to take a look. They said the springs GDE installed were for a door that was 3 times as heavy as ours. The extra load caused a lot of damage on the rails and the gears supporting the garage door. This was a terrible experience from beginning to end. We will not be working with GDE again read more

My garage door was messed up after FedEx truck backed into it. The spring came out, and it was unusable for a day. I called Garage Door Experts, and they were able to send someone out pretty quickly. The gentleman was professional the whole time, gave me a quote, and it actually ended up costing less than the quote since he figured out a certain part was not needed, and he could use what was already present on the door. Fixed within an hour, and was out of here. Door's been working fine for a few months now. Would highly recommend, and call once we're ready to replace it for a newer model. read more

When I called Garage Door Experts, I had the opportunity to speak to the owner. He was very professional. He had a clear understanding of what the issue could be and he scheduled when someone from his company would come by my home that day. I was impressed with his professional demeanor and his sense of urgency to address the issue. The installer was top notch. Professional, well spoken, and prompt! He arrived within the timeframe scheduled and explained in no uncertain terms what needed to be done and the cost to complete the work. After 5 minutes on the phone with Alex the door is working again. He was able to diagnose the problem and walk me through fixing it. He could have just as easily came out and charged me for it. Didn't initially come by to do the work the day he said he would. Came by the next day, worked alone installing 2 new motors, brackets and doors. I am pleased with the work, but I found my back door left open in the room behind my garage a day later. Tech came without a mask. Claimed he couldn't work with one on. I gave him one to be in the garage. He did wear it. Gave me estimate for new door. Fixed chain tension, tried to replace wall control-didn't have one that would work. Tried all remotes after he left. None worked. Called to ask for help because I couldn't get them to program after reading manual. No return call. Don't know why the remotes wouldn't work after he left but finally got help reprogramming from another door company who also gave me a much better price for the same new door without an old door disposal fee. Masks and returned phone calls would have earned this company more stars notwithstanding the higher price. RESPONSE TO COMMENT: more than six feet away and I came from outside-no need for a mask. I went in, got my mask and brought him one to speak about the project-at first he refused. He was giving us an estimate, not doing physical labor-not sure what OSHA has to do with it. I highly recommend this business for any garage door issues. I called towards the end of the day and a live voice responded, even though I expected them to be closed. I spoke with Alex, and described that my garage door had a few areas that had gaps. He was very flexible and offered to assess the issue that evening before it was too dark. He quickly evaluated and determined I needed new weather stripping for the garage door and indicated he would order the part and install the next day. He actually did what he said and we coordinated the installation time. He arrived on time, and was able to install within 30-45min. Pricing was fair and he told me to let him know if any issues over the next few days. Alex actually called the next day to confirm there were no issues. I noted there were a couple of gaps along the garage trim (which he wasn't responsible for fixing). He came back out, nailed the trim back in to the frame, and suggested if I wanted to be completely sure there were no gaps, that I could also caulk the area.
