They advertised as local to the Bay Area, so I had them come out. The guy who showed up wasn't from D&R, but Mikel's Garage Doors. Their Yelp is also 1-star only. The guy takes the rod down before diagnosing it as the wrong springs for the door. Then he quotes $819 per US manufactured springs plus $189 for labor. We balk at that price, so he hard sells "Canadian" springs for $619 per spring and promises that there's an 8-year manufacturer warranty and that if anything goes wrong, any garage door repair company will come out and replace/repair the springs at no cost/charge. He said the springs we have are Chinese crap. Guess what happened?! He then proceeds to install Chinese springs, gives us no warranty documents and tries to charge more for labor. Turns out their supplier is Chinese (CHI Hardware Inc, https://www.chihw.com/product/overhead-door-springs-garage-door-spring-manufacturer/), best as I can tell, they do not even have US or Canadian springs.
