This is our first time working with Gary. His job was to install a new garage unit, garage door, springs, etc. This happened at the end of 2024. He charged several thousands dollars, the work was incomplete and structurally dangerous. The garage door was held by 1 out of 4 screws, causing it to slam shut and pose a significant safety risk. Gary reused old parts, left internal wiring exposed and refused to address a leaking weather strip - claiming shipping delays and illness as an excuse after 6 months of us asking about it. We also told him the garage door won't open several times with the garage unit motor and he still didn't fix the issue. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He consistently yells, unresponsive to our calls, either was late or majority of the time cancels last minute appointments.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He decided to return the weather strip to the seller without telling us. They responded fast, prices are very reasonable, and they worked with me to use my our garage spring rather than them providing one. They were about 30 minutes late from their original time slot, but communicated with me throughout and I work from home so it was fine. They worked with purpose and got the spring fixed in about 20 minutes. I signed the receipt and they were off. The garage is actually quieter now. Gary and his partner did a fantastic job replacing our 2 garage doors! The original doors were always an eyesore and were never installed properly nor did they ever work properly so in comes Gary and his partner and they did their "Garage Door Magic!" When we contacted Gary for our (free) estimate, Gary provided us with brochures that outlined exactly the type of door and garage motor that we would be getting as well as options for windows, door style options, colors, etc. He provided us with the quote immediately on the day of the visit as opposed to other vendors who made us wait for days or weeks to receive an estimate. (Some vendors not only made us wait, but gave us quotes that were wrong because they mistakenly quoted us for one door and not 2 as needed). Gary was also the only one who gave us options for the style, color, type of windows, etc. None of the other vendors did; their default was white door, no windows or extra $$ for windows. Gary was responsive and told us if he was running late or if he needed to re-schedule due to a delay on parts, etc. We appreciated that very much!
