The tasting room attendant was cheerful and friendly, telling us about each of the wines and sharing some of her favourites. I had six samples in total: the 2013 Windward White Blend (which would be great with spicy food), the 2014 Pinot Gris, the "Friend's Rose" (which is the one I bought - it was bright pink, with lots of berry and some rhubarb, a definite afternoon sipper), the 2013 St. Laurent, the 2013 Gamay Noir and the 2012 Meritage. Tastings were, I believe, $1/sample but they were waived with purchase. This is an environmentally friendly, solar powered winery with a sustainable mindset! It's not as fancy as some of the ones you'll visit in the county, but I think it just adds to the charm.

My personal favourite was Bobo (I forget the style) but super easy drinking with a delicious finish. There is a small selection of foodstuffs available (pita chips, tabule, hummus, and some meat products). We picked up a 6 of Janky IPA to go but will be sure to stop by again on our way out of PEC.
