Got their duck and balsamic glaze pizza as well as the pesto with artichoke. The pizza has a nice crust. The balsamic glaze one was a bit too sweet for my taste but the pesto had a delicious creamy flavour. We had their hummus with pita, which lacked depth from some much needed salt and lemon. Their pretzel bites were amazing with the sweet garlic and mustard sauces, could not get enough of that. For the drinks, we ordered ciders which we found was more like sparkling soda than a cider. The flourless chocolate cake was decadent and super rich.

There's a very long winding road to get up to the brewery, with plenty of parking just outside of the main building. The interior of the brewery itself is brand spanking new and beautiful inside. There's a lovely view of the surrounding area, just gorgeous to look at on a sunny day. We were warmly greeting upon entering and given an overview of the beverages on offer. There were a good choice of beers to choose from, along with non alcoholic beverages (seltzer and soda) as well. We sat outside under a shaded canopy at a picnic table and enjoyed the nice summer weather for a while. Slake also had a concise menu of snacks and food items to order from as well. We chose the table olives and the chips n dip - both were tasty and hit the spot. My hubby and step dad loved the beers they chose and my mom and I enjoyed the flavoured seltzers from City Seltzer. Will absolutely be coming back again for a visit sometime soon!

The design on the beer can is simple, but colours are vivid. On the menu, there was beer, wine, sparkling tea and snacks. We ordered our drinks and sat on a bench in their patio area. The beer was refreshing after the drive from Toronto and I thoroughly enjoyed my sparkling tea. What really made our experience was meeting a friendly dog named Rhubarb (Australian Shepard?)!

When we visited, two beers were available in cans (Janky IPA and Yeasayer Lagerbier) along with Bobo and a guest tap on offer. My personal favourite was Bobo (I forget the style) but super easy drinking with a delicious finish. There is a small selection of foodstuffs available (pita chips, tabule, hummus, and some meat products). We picked up a 6 of Janky IPA to go but will be sure to stop by again on our way out of PEC. The brewery has 2 original ales: Country Brown and Cream Ale and a few seasonal. The only pub and restaurants you can find exclusively on tap are at the 2 restaurants on site: The Inn and The Miller House. We really enjoyed Country Brown but find the other so so. I would not make a special trip but if you are in the area and looks for some local beers to support small local breweries, Lake on the Mountain is quite decent. The dishes were mindfully put together and were simply delicious. The chef came out after every course to introduce the course and talk a little bit about the process.
