There was a nice patio on the outside and a small eating area on the inside. The house was nice enough to spit the pizza in half to give us two flavours! #5 - Pizza dough was good, parts of the crust was a bit burnt, so cook was on the uneven side. Considering the toppings the pizza was a white pizza and really unique but works well together. Would recommend. Pizza of the moment - #2 with hot honey - overall everything was also a good mix. Sausages were a bit too spicy for me, but the heat was well balanced with the honey and creaminess. Nice to try.

Got their duck and balsamic glaze pizza as well as the pesto with artichoke. The pizza has a nice crust. The balsamic glaze one was a bit too sweet for my taste but the pesto had a delicious creamy flavour. We had their hummus with pita, which lacked depth from some much needed salt and lemon. Their pretzel bites were amazing with the sweet garlic and mustard sauces, could not get enough of that. For the drinks, we ordered ciders which we found was more like sparkling soda than a cider. The flourless chocolate cake was decadent and super rich.

Lake on the Mountain Brewing Co is a small brewery inside Lake on the Mountain Resort…read more It started brewing in 2007 using fresh local ingredients including hops grown at the resort and locally grown barley. The brewery has 2 original ales: Country Brown and Cream Ale and a few seasonal. The only pub and restaurants you can find exclusively on tap are at the 2 restaurants on site: The Inn and The Miller House. We really enjoyed Country Brown but find the other so so. I would not make a special trip but if you are in the area and looks for some local beers to support small local breweries, Lake on the Mountain is quite decent. We were the only ones seated inside - giant beautiful fire place. We had a flight out their lighter beers and they were good. Unfortunately they weren't all available in cans/bottles, but that's okay. The guy working was informative and friendly. Looks like they serve popcorn as a snack as well. It's definitively worth stopping in if you're in the area. They had some merch (hats, T-shirt's, glasses, etc) as well for purchase.

What a great end to an already great day in Prince Edward County…read more We came for dinner after being delighted by the vinegars at Black Prince Winery and the liquors at Kinsip Spirits. FYI the gps took us to a collection of buildings called The Warehouse which contains a fancy lodge, a reception area, and a few other things. This restaurant is located past/behind the Reception building and immediately adjacent to the Cookery. Perhaps because of the hot weather and perhaps because it was a Monday night, there was almost no one there and we got the pick of any of the dining areas they offered (garden area, dining room, bar, standard, and patio). We opted for the patio and enjoyed being the only ones there even though it was a bit warm. Seriously, this place is huge and can probably accommodate 100 tables or more despite it looking like a cute, ivy-covered, European-inspired cottage. We opted for the Crispy Chicken Sandwhich and the Fish and Chips plus a beer (Parson's Westy Pale Ale). Our server was so sweet, bubbly, and helpful. I wish I could remember her name but she had long dark hair worn back in a ponytail. She knew a lot about the menu, including the sweets, and helped us choose the Coconut Cream Pie for dessert. The food itself was delicious! Chicken in the CCS was sweet and tangy with great texture and crisp, and the sandwhich was really well balanced with the pickles and slaw. I love me some spice, so I would have opted for a spicy sauce over a sweet one, but it was still a great sandwhich. The house salad it came with was yummy too--greens, cucumbers, and carrots with pepitas and a creamy apple cider dressing. I didn't try the fried fish in the FnC, but SO said it was pretty good. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned with flaked sea salt. The Coconut Cream Pie was excellent. The pie filling was light and creamy and not super sweet, and the crust was definitely homemade graham cracker with a lot of extra sweetness to complement the light filling. I must say it wasn't the best CCP I have ever had (Tartine in San Francisco makes one simply out of this world) but it was still really nice. Overall, great experience and will return.

The staff was friendly- our server was clearly new and still in training, but did her best and was very friendly. They have a pretty decent drink list, and the bar food was passable- nothing too special but a respectable dinner for the type of place.

Luckily I found Littlejohn Farm offers wine tours via a Google search. I sent an email via their website and Luhana contacted me in response within a few minutes. She was so lovely via our email conversations and super accommodating (we wanted to go and visit a brewery instead of one of the wineries and we also had a few food related restrictions for some of the girls in our group). She picked us up at our AirBnB rental in Brighton, ON (far from her farm!) and drove us around all day in a nice SUV with plenty of air conditioning, room, and water. We stopped at Hillier Winery, Traynor Wines, Hinterland Wines, the Prince Edward Lavender farm (where we had an incredible picnic - more on that later!), Clauson Chase winery, then finally Midtown Brewing as our last stop. Luhana waited for us patiently at each place and never made us feel rushed. Luhana prepared us the most epic picnic lunch I have ever seen - we were totally spoiled!! She made fresh salads with gardens from her farm, local award winning cheeses, local charcuterie, home made sauces, fresh baguette, along with pickles made at her farm. It was absolutely heavenly!! We also had an opportunity to chat with Luhana as she shared the story of how her and her husband came to own Littlejohn Farm. We had an unforgettable day and cannot thank Luhana enough. Highly highly recommend!! Looking forward to staying at the farm someday!!

My three friends and I had the best day with Luhana who toured us around to The Old Third, Closson Chase, The Grange, Traynor, and By Chadsey Cairins. Being from Niagara, we were truly amazed by the rural feel of the area and all of the beautiful barns used as wineries. Luhana was the perfect tour guide- she was friendly and chatty in the car but also gave us some space while we tried the wines at each place. The picnic lunch that she prepared for us was heavenly. There was cheddar and chive biscuits, an assortment of cheeses, meat, sauces, and a delicious blueberry galette. We felt like the luckiest girls in the world! We were so pleased with our experience with Luhana and all of the people who served us wine at each winery we went to. Everyone made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back to do a sourdough bread workshop soon! Thanks again Luhana!
