Midtown brewery is definitely a place to stop in for drinks and eats!! It is located in Wellington right in the core of the town, across the street is the best view of the water...it was overwhelmingly beautiful. The brewery itself is great, a nice patio, pet friendly, friendly helpful staff. The food..,,drool. I got the Diavola Pizza and the Pixie rose Hall( peach and tangerine rose) to start. Both were delicious. The pizza reminded me so much of the pizza I had in Napoli...thin, chewy crust, delicious sauce and the basil on top was so fresh. It was to die for. The sparkling rose was delicious. I also ordered the Nonna's backyard spritz ( LIMONCELLO/LEMONADE/BUBBLES/GARDEN HERBS) which was refreshing. Finished everything off with the Vanilla Panna cotta with raspberries and sponge toffee. So yummy. Light and just the right amount of sweetness with the sponge toffee which added a nice crunch So far a great start in Prince Edward County. read more

Visited for an early dinner this weekend. So disappointed in the food this time. The burger looked like it was cooked earlier in the day and reheated. Tasteless with a bit of lettuce, pickle and sauce. Another couple chose the fish. It was also over cooked, tasted fishy, so either poor quality fish or cooked too long. The veal option was the weirdest combo with oily sauce, capers and anchovies topped with fried eggs. Definitely not a good combination flavour wise. The pizza's were thin and crispy but so minimally topped that we should have must ordered the marinara pizza. On a good one, fries were great. Beer was good but should have been colder. Midtown Brewing Company has this really rustic and homey feel. Nothing fancy, a neighbourhood place that everyone comes hang out. Mismatched old furniture, ongoing renovating projects and nothing seems to be finished or near finished. The bartender here is friendly and personal. Great services! Fantastic pizza and great beers Pretty population spot in Bloomfield with a large-ish patio. Staff is friendly! They offer a variety of white and red pizzas - flat crust and fired in an oven. The smell of basil was prominent and permeating in the space where you can buy beers to take home. We tried the daviola: tomato sauce, mozzarella with Italian sausage - very good! Additionally, there are classic bar appetizers such as French fries with parmasean and Mayo. Wide variety of beers and wines from the county. I loved the vibe here. We were greeted and sat at the bar - bartender was very friendly, funny and cool. Gave us excellent tips on other places to visit in the area and good descriptions of what to expect at each. We had a flight of beers for breakfast and they were good. They only had a few in cans to go, but more on tap. Also looks like they do pizza to go. They also do breakfast which can be hard to find in the area. I would love to give 5 but I didn't eat any food haha so I don't feel prepared to give that rating. Would definitely come back. Room had a big fire place and a board game shelf, so looks like it would be cool to hang out there in the evening. read more

Great burger and super tasty fries. The healthy salad of kale, spinach, chickpeas and edamame was beautifully dressed. Yum.

Liked the patio and atmosphere. Definitely felt safe during corona-era. Didn't get a chance to try the beers, but the food was very average and nothing to rave about. We had the Haddock with peas and the Shrimp Roll, and both were fine but not exciting. Price came to about $40 for 2, so pretty standard. Maybe if youre planning on staying a while and having a few drinks it'll be better, but for us, who were looking for a quick bite, im sure there are better options elsewhere. read more

This place gets a 4/5 from me. We were looking for lunch. We found this spot after getting the recommendation from one of the wineries. Cool atmosphere with the micro brewery at the back. Laid back and chill vibe. They have quite a lot of seating that is more communal style rather than individual tables. It's cool that it's a restaurant and brewery combined. The place was quite busy and lots of people coming and going. Ordered the mbc burger with fries and cheese. The burger had decent flavour and was tasty. I liked the sauce and pickle, which added a nice crunch to the burger. The fries were thin, cooked perfectly, and tasty. The burger was a bit messy to eat. Overall I enjoyed the burger a lot. My sister and husband order the shrimp roll. The shrimp were those small shrimp and was mixed with a dill mayo sauce. The cold shrimp is served on a soft bun and comes with potato chips. The Lake on mountain was a light tasting beer. That complemented the shrimp roll. If you are not a wine lover or love beer or are just looking from some great tasting grub make sure to give this place a try. read more

Disappointed, but not by the food or our server. The young lady who brought our food had a terrible attitude. After simply confirming if there were fries with one of the meals she said yes then turned to walk away saying "I only have two hands ...". I didn't ask how many hands you had, just if there were fries coming for my daughter's meal. I was in no mood to argue with her, partly because my meal had not yet come to the table and because I was having a nice day and didn't want her terrible attitude to ruin it. We live here and frequent the place and to be honest if she was my employee I would have her in far back corner not talking to happy customers. Stopped in for a quick flight before dinner reservations. I opted for the two fruit sour beers - lemon and strawberry as well as the Belgian and stout. I enjoyed all of these very much but our favourite was the strawberry ! The atmosphere and service here are great. Stopped into Midtown during a weekend of adventuring around Prince Edward County. This brewery has done a good job putting an interesting space to use, but they've got some work to do. They only had 2 of their own beers available (an ESB and a Kolsch, the latter of which is the better beer), while offering another 6 local options on tap. $9 flights of 4 beers are poured and served on a very ghetto presentation format of a piece of scrap wood with a piece of paper crudely written with your choices along with it. The good news, is that they have a nice patio, and a kitchen that is spitting out some decent food. I had a burger and fries which was pretty good (wasn't a huge fan of the sauce on the burger though), and my dining counterpart had the fish sandwich which they said they very much enjoyed. Overall, it's a decent stop in the tiny town of Wellington, and probably middle of the road for PEC breweries. read more

If you are looking for mediocre food with poor service, this is your place! We arrived in PEC looking forward to lunch at the Midtown Brewing Company, from the first few minutes after being seated, we had a feeling our server was not having a good day and did not enjoy her job. We arrived after 2pm on September 2nd for a late lunch, the restaurant was not busy, most diners including ourselves sat outside in the patio. We did not feel welcomed, the vibe was very much like we were intruding on her time. She took our drinks and food order and never returned after the drinks were dropped off. Our food was delivered by other staff from the restaurant. I had the duke dog, it was tasteless. My husband had the funghi pizza, the dough was good but the mushroom topping made the pizza very watery. We had to ask the hostess to bring our bill, our server was no where in sight. We enjoyed the beer and cider on tap. We understand this is a casual place but the lack of service and negative attitude really made this an unpleasant experience. We had great expectations from PEC dining, we have heard such great things from our friends and family. We hope our dinner later today will be better. Honestly, we dined out a few times weekly and just got back from NYC, the service we experienced here was one of our worst! read more

This was our third brewery of the day and very convenient as it was only a short walk from our Airbnb. The vibe was great, really warm and welcoming. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The music was amazing, great mix of oldies. The menu is rather limited but delicious. We got 6 oysters to start with zucchini fritters and the tartine. This was an amazing meal. I wanted an extra tartine to take back to our room, it was that good. Also, only family friendly looking brewery we saw in the day. This one actually had a little corner with kids toys and couches. I'm always hesitant to bring our 9 month old to restaurants, but these guys have a stack of high chairs at the ready and room to spare. Great spot with a great menu for food and some really good beers. We had lunch and then came back for wood-fired pizza as takeout later on. Bought a 6-pack to take home and enjoy after our trip too. Excellent. Great and varied beer selection. Too many brewpubs rely on too many uber-hoppy IPAs. This establishment had a much more balanced list offering several lagers and light ales plus an ipa or two. As to the menu, Heirloom tomatoes with white anchovy was transcendent. Went here for the first time yesterday and was surprised by how much I liked it. It is set back from the road in a parking lot. The inside is much cosier and inviting than the outside would lead you to believe. The patio was actually quite nice to hang out on. Our waitress was wonderful. Attentive, genuinely lovely to talk to and made great drink recommendations. We ordered some oysters and they were large and delicious. I will be back. read more
