One landscaper chose to pull the "la la la I can't hear you" when we discussed our budget and gave us a quote that was three times what we could afford. Another refused to rip out some sod for us and put in a patio because it wasn't "creative" enough for her (no joke). These were the same people that suggested a babbling brook type deal after we told them we mainly employed our backyard for BBQ's and beers. But enough with the negativity; Tanja was great. She gave us exactly what we wanted and worked within our budget constraints with no problem. She came with a team of incredibly hard workers and our backyard was transformed in the course of 1 day. It's been about three months since we had our yard done, and despite my black thumb, the damn thing insists on thriving. They don't cut a straight line between the yards, they just use mine to turn around. They cut the neighbors yard shorter and in turn scalp my lawn. I have high spots due previously cut down trees by the city. The back yard is full of leaves or grass clippings depending on the time of year as they blow towards the fence in the backyard. The crews have been asked many times to stay on the neighbors side and to stop blowing stuff under the fence. They just left from doing their spring clean up and the yard has scalp marks and leaves. The final guy finished blowing my neighbors yard by sending it all in my direction.
