I had high hopes with their reputation and reviews so did not mind spending more money if the results were good. Unfortunately, they were similar to other lawn care services. They used a broad cast spreader and not a drop spreader on smaller area I had in the back where it went into my flower beds and killed a lot of the grass. We have had Weiss for 3 or 4 years. I love that they email the day before they are coming for a treatment so you can cancel if necessary. So many times with the last service they would show up the day before we were having a lawn party. We use the organic lawn service and our lawn looks so much better than it did with our prior service. It's a little more expensive but worth it. read more

I signed up for Weiss a couple years ago. I thought I was signing up for one year and then would decide if I wanted to renew. Full disclosure I did change my email and they were emailing an old email address that was full (couldn't receive more emails). I didn't think I was receiving contact from Weiss because I assumed my year contract had expired. Now if you were a company and emails are being rebounded to you, you think you would make attempts to get in contact either through a phone call or by leaving a post it on the door or through the mail. No to all three. To build on not leaving contact. I never got a post it on the door saying "Jeff was here today, we did xxxx and xxxx to your lawn today". Plus I had weeds sprouting up everywhere. I thought Weiss was a company that evaluates your lawn and goes over it with you to tackle problems you want taken care of It seems like they just kinda come every so often and sprinkle stuff on your lawn at various points in the year. I happen to look at my credit card last week and noticed I was still being charged 46 dollars a month. Yikes. read more

I reached out to Weiss Lawn Care after receiving their marketing material in the mail. Lots of compelling offers and messaging that seemed to suit our current needs. I received a call back apologizing that Weiss "doesn't service our area", even though they service a neighboring town less than 1 mile from my home. They suggested I can call back next year. What a shame to spend money on direct mail (clearly soliciting for new customers) only to tell a qualified prospect "we're not interested in your business". I suppose business must be booming for the Weiss family since they summarily dismissed an opportunity to gain a new customer. Congratulations! If you receive a direct mail flyer from Weiss Lawn Care, don't get your hopes up. There's nothing quite like the experience of responding to an advertisement only to be told "no thanks, we're not interested in your business". read more

We just started using their organic treatments as we have a lot of deer in our neighborhood. I have been seeing more-and new weeds-in my yard since starting their program. They do not treat all of my lawn and leave the edges completely untreated and weed-ridden. I have reached out to several team members at Weiss to resolve this issue and keep getting the run around and have experienced a definite lack of customer service. They are less interested in improving the quality of the existing program you paid for that promised to take care of all weeds than they are in trying to sell additional services for a need created my their not properly treating my lawn to begin with. In the 20 years we have lived in our home we have gone through several lawn care service companies. We switched to Weiss a few years ago and found our lawn much improved. They provide advance notice of when they are coming, arrive as scheduled and clearly are applying the correct quantity of materials. If weeds are a problem they promptly retreat after we notify them without additional charge. Their service is priced competitively. Recommend them highly. read more
