The service is always ridiculously slow. Slower than a 100 yr old turtle trudging through cold molasses. Slow! But the food is always good. So I guess that makes up for it somewhat. The fried chicken and omelets are amazing. Just don't be in a hurry!

The wife had the Philly Cheesesteak (no onions, which is a sin) and I had the Chicken Caesar Salad. The sandwich was very salty, the fries were cold, and the cheese was swiss. The Salad was good. This place is okay if you are just trying to "fill the hole." They let you use casino cash and they have a military discount. Open 24 hours a day.

I have a unique and new take to share. But first I want to say that this place is so ADORABLE and…read morethe owner is a very sweet woman. She's running the cafe by herself but has helpers on some occasions. Her menu is especially unique because, although it's mostly an American menu, it also has Mediterranean/Middle Eastern options. The food is always fresh and yummy and menu prices are super low. This place is an excellent option if you want a quick bite and your goal is to satisfy your hunger. Similar comments have already been made repeatedly in other reviews. But here's what might be a new take. Cobbleston Cafe's average rating should be at least 4.7 and above and I'll tell you why I think it's not. It's because people are ridiculous. Honestly. I read the other reviews and their expectations of a CAFE are incredibly nonsensical. You can't enter a cafe and expect a full kitchen. Cafes like Starbucks, Peet's Coffee and even Panera are much larger places and don't have full kitchens. We all know Starbucks is overpriced and often sell stale menu items. This place is incredibly affordable, has a LOT more to choose from, and is 1000% better because it's so much more fresh! It's a cozy and smaller place. There's a reason locals love this cafe because it's satisfying, fresh and is priced very fairly. Have the right expectations and you'll also be giving it 5 stars! And if you prefer supporting local businesses, please stop by Cobblestone Cafe and support this wonderful lady too.

The waitress sat us and then it took her probably 10 minutes to even bring water. Another 5-10 minutes before she took our drink order. Never asked us about if we wanted starters or food. We then overheard her tell another table that she was waiting for the cook to come so he could make her espresso martini bc the waitress could not do it due to her disability. After waiting another 20 minutes with no inquiry about if we wanted food, i asked the other patrons if we heard the waitress right that she was waiting for the cook. They explained the espresso machine issue and then said that they also ordered bagels an hour prior and were still waiting so the cook must not be there at all. The waitress never said anything to us about food, the cook, etc. We decided to leave cash for our drinks and leave and went to a different restaurant. The host/waitress was sweet and seemed to be by herself, doing the best she could. I'm sad bc this restaurant used to be amazing, we probably will never be back.

My go-to, however, is Amity! Unique to Amity are their single-origin beans roasted fresh in-house! The coffee and food are delicious! The drink and food menu is ample and offers a great variety of choices, including gluten-free treats and vegetarian foods. Best part - everything is made fresh in-house! Put these menu items on your must-try list: 1) Chocolate chip cookies - I've been on a hunt for the best chocolate chip cookie and Amity's is high up on the list 2) Cafe Nico - delicious hot or cold coffee made with fresh orange citrus zest 3) Hot ham and cheese sandwich and the quiches! Very good! 4) A scone with coffee/tea is always my go-to! Amity boasts a cozy place for the community to come together, for friends to catch-up over coffee, and for small businesses to meet and network together. The venue can also be rented out for private events! You can trust Amity with its clean eatery, a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for the entire family, great hospitality, and an overall good experience. We were there for an hour and had to reserve our spots online. We had a really nice time! They have you sign a waiver and they take you to the back room where you enter and there was a bunch of cats with all different personalities all up for adoption too! Vibes were 10/10 in there. They had the music channel on and some couches in there, some cats were more sleepy, some were super playful. Either way we were so happy to just be in the presence of them haha. They definitely do kick you out exactly once that hour is up, and the only "negative" thing about this place is the staff do have an odd energy about them. They seemed pretty cold and not very welcoming, and got a tad snippity when i was reading the info on one of the cats in the lobby telling me to leave her alone because shes eating, mind you i was over 4 feet from her crate and this cat was paying me no mind and vice versa. I chalked this up to them simply advocating for the cats in their care, so atleast it could be seen as a good thing‍ Also they had a cute little shop in the front! overall i do reccomend it! We'll definitely be back:)
