Ox tail cabbage and rice was my dinner and I took a dinner home for later. Stop by for a special collection

Damn good service specially a urgency that means you have a hot lunch or dinner. I enjoy breakfast and lunch sandwiches with very respectful people who frequent the restaurant

Homestyle cooking In a quaint little diner. Chef came out to each table, asking how your dinner was. You felt like you were dining with family. Staff was cheerful and friendly. Our relatives who live in the area this is one of their favorite places.

Do you ever drive by a place and think "No way can't be any good"? Well don't let US 13 Grill and Catering fool you! The place might be small but Da if the food isn't great! I got the hot turkey sandwich with mashed and a salad and a side of Mac&cheese and our waitress is Kyra awesome. My husband got the all day breakfast option and we had plenty of food to take home. . . .well he did I finished mine.

This place was horrible and disgusting. Owner had a nasty attitude. Waitress came out with the wrong order twice. Soup came out cold then asked me if I wanted fresh hot soup that the chef just made .Chicken was undercooked. No appreciation whatsoever. Worst place ever. And I found mouse poop in the bathroom corner

Best breakfast in Dover! You can never go wrong with this place. Sometimes there may be a short wait, but the wait is worth it!

Great food and value for your money. Usually pretty good service, sometimes a little short handed.

Good service eating in. Nice service, feels like eating at your grandma kitchen or some. They give you big portion for your buck.

Normally we order take out from this spot in Dover but tonight we went sat at the bar and got great food and great drinks! Thanks so much for a perfect date night. Don't drink so can't really provide any context there. I go places for the foods. I'm gluten free and they had plenty of options for me to include pizza! I ordered the fire roasted Brussels sprouts, the stuffed jalapeños, and deviled eggs for apps. My pizza was next, gluten free of course, and did not disappoint (crumbled sausage and whipped ricotta). We've found two great pizza places here recently and this is one of them! Honestly, really hard to come by good pizza in Delaware. The other menu items were serious bonuses for me since apps are lacking in this state too. Service was great, attentive enough but not over the top. Also, yes, they do offer a military discount. Good music on, quiet for a weekday afternoon which I like.. I'll be back!

And by that I mean I dropped my girlfriend and her daughter at Firefly and I devoted my day to sampling foods and drinks around the town with my buddy. He said this is his spot for Sunday football so we popped in and checked out some appetizers. We decided to go with some fried pork potstickers and some "boom tots". The potstickers were crispy and delicious and came with a teriyaki sauce to dip them in. I personally felt they were great without the sauce and thought the sauce actually made them a bit too salty. The Boom tots were very good. They have a regular loaded tots dish and then this one, so we decided to go outside the box a bit. These had crumbled bacon, melted mozzarella, and the "boom boom sauce" on them which is basically most companies knock off of the bang bang shrimp sauce that (insert name of chain restaurant that I can't remember here) made famous. But you knew that when you drove up to this unprepossessing cafe-bar that looks like a former 50's frozen custard stand turned into biker bar. Which, it probably is. The gals under Valerie's management fly at light speed out of the kitchen, serving Yuengling lager on tap (yeah!) and the usual Bud offering as well as hot and cold sandwiches, Boardwalk fries, nachos and all the things that your doctor and dietician say "not to." There is a pinball machine (featuring Harley Davidson backbox), several other electronic games, one of which has a customized "joke" seat (toilet seat nailed to a wooden captains chair, along with a handy roll and dispenser on the back. Quaint! But don't get any dumb ideas!) Tables are comfy or you can sit at the bar. No booths. The steak sandwiches are well-known in these part and taste good; too good. There is one that is about as long as Jeremy Lin's arm. Seriously. It's huge. In case you can't imagine that, lacquered (I hope) rolls are hanging near the cash register so you can estimate roll length versus appetite strength. The bun has recently exceeded the meat content but their prices have stayed steady so you know what's happening. We all have to manage somehow. I'm not sorry as the flavor is good and I don't need so much saturated fat in any case. I do not fault them. The crowd is what you'd call "eclectic" or "local" and this is not a dainty boite to take a first date unless you already know he or she is a fan of local, very local bars. For local this is. Personally, I always love such places and our state has some of the better locals-only spots that are entirely enjoyable and beat a chain restaurant any day of the week. Valerie's is clean. It smells ONLY of beer, which I can't say about some other places I've visited. No cigarette smoke as our state has gone no-indoor-plumbing, I mean, indoor smoking.

I will say the bartender was very nice and the drinks were solid. The cheesesteak unfortunately was not. Perhaps it was good for this area, but for someone who has tried 20+ from spots in Philly and surrounding areas, it was nowhere near the conversation. Meat was a bit dry, not enough cheese, and the bread was too soft so if there was more cheese, it would have ripped right through the bread. Loved the place, would like to go back and try other foods and hang out for karaoke again, but i'd pass on the cheesesteak next time around.
