US 13 Grill catered a lunch for me yesterday. I would like to thank them for such a great job and easy experience. I had a hard time finding anyone that would deliver, they not only delivered on time but the delivery was free. The sandwiches were delicious and many people commented on the fact that they used real turkey and not lunch meat for their sandwiches. The dessert trays were also a big hit. Great job setting everything up, and labeling for everyone. I would highly recommend using them. read more

Let me preface this remark with, no one talks about a good root canal surgery. Prior to our visit this morning (11/15/2025), food and service have been good. I'm not sure, but both the food and service were bad. It appears that the staff has difficulty showing up on time. This translates into bad service and cold food. This is a basic diner offering a wide variety of items. We stopped in for a late breakfast and it was packed. We luckily found a parking space and found our way inside. It was packed on the inside. Totally packed. Lots of happy people and, based upon the conversations, I assume many of them are local and regulars. We opted to grab the last two stools at the counter so we wouldn't have to wait. The service was flawless. Seriously. The wait for the food was long, but that's not the server's problem. We really enjoyed talking with our server who kept our coffee cups perfectly topped off. We sat next to a regular and our server knew his typical order off the top of her head. This is one of those restaurants where "everybody knows your name" if you go often enough. I wanted hard core diner food so I asked for a biscuit, split, with sausage gravy on one half and creamed chipped beef on the other. Our server said it wouldn't be a problem to give me my special request (I couldn't pick between the two so I asked for both). The biscuit was so soft and fluffy and perfect. If I had to pick between the two gravy options, I'd have to say it all depends on the preference of the person eating them. Both were tasty and hearty and perfect. Not too salty, not too runny, not too bland. We will definitely return. read more

We went at 12:00 noon on a Sunday and there was a line and they were packed but we were seated quickly! Our waitress was very cordial and attentive throughout our meal. She brought us hot coffee, took our orders and kept us happy while waiting on several other tables. The food was amazing! We both ordered the giant breakfast. Our eggs were cooked exactly how we ordered them. Pancakes fluffy, bacon cooked not too crispy not too chewy. Everything was great! I wanted to eat it all, I was full but it tasted so good! We ate and ordered a waffle... came out hard and overcooked.. scrapple overcooked... food was not hot... can tell items pre cooked and sitting..requested another and it too was hard so we were then charged for sides. Returned waffle and the bill came out and we laid a credit card down and they came back and said we charge an additional 4% on the bill for credit card use. Ordered a pancake on the side she said $2.00 ok and it should have been a crepe or was so think and oddly shaped. Terrible! Let's not forget to mention the menus with the scratched out handwritten higher prices on them That is illegal and they put it on the bill in such a way that they can not only write it off but it goes undetected by stating non cash tax...there is no sign up stating such and does not matter what the nominal amount it is, it should not be put on your customer that you chose to accept credit cards but not the fees associated. For context, I arrived at 10:30am the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I was seeking breakfast. I only recently moved to the Dover area and I have a lot of experience with diners all over New York State. Diner breakfast is something I hold very dear to my heart. The food met my expectations and almost exceeded them. I had a bite of home fries that was crispy and well seasoned but it appeared that the potatoes that were more recently added to the pile didn't receive the same care. The special US 13 Grill Omelette is really very tasty. As is typical with most diners, the eggs were browned and well done - but not too far. I would have rated this establishment 4 stars if the service had been better. I drained my first cup of coffee before my plate arrived. Upon receiving my meal, I promptly asked for a refill. At a neighboring table, my server stopped by to negotiate someone's special takeout order. At that table, a party asked for a coffee refill. I am also still waiting for mine. I'm about 25% through my meal. Elsewhere in the dining room, I see a different server bring coffee to one of her tables. She offers refills to her other tables and brings the half-full coffee pot back to the brewing station which is at the opposite corner from where I am seated. I am halfway through my meal and my server is standing adjacent to the coffee brewing station and deep in her mental calculations. I decide to bring my cup to the counter and I stop by my neighbor and offer to bring his cup for a refill. I am not even sure if she is aware that I am there at the counter - she is occupied with her bills. I finish my meal. I drain my second cup of coffee. I look around and I don't bother waiting - I head back up to the counter... where there is no one to attend me for the next 30-45 seconds. The hostess arrives and I ask her for a refill. The manager (who poured my second cup) sees me there again. I tell him I'm back for a refill. He says nothing to me. The hostess arrives with the pot and refills my cup. Later, My server stops by my table to leave the bill. She looks at me directly and explains very quietly "it's so crazy today." She continues to explain that the kitchen is a bit out of sorts prepping for tomorrow's Thanksgiving meal service. The kitchen is so crazy that it interfered with your ability to make sure your customers have a beverage? You forgot that two of your tables asked for coffee? You couldn't ask one of your colleagues to swing by your tables with the coffee pot? And the manager watched a patron come to counter two times for a refill and did not give any orders to anyone to check on the dining room. While I scribble out this feedback, my server has checked on my coffee cup two times. Too little, too late I'm afraid. read more

I love this restaurant. Service is always great. They have a daily menu full of options along with the regular menu. Today, I enjoyed the crab cakes that were well made, not mushy and not overly crunchy. They were quite delicious. My sides were sweet potatoes and lima beans. They were okay. I couldn't convince myself that the potatoes didn't come from a can. If they did, they cooked them up very well! I come here every trip to Dover. It's a restaurant with a diner menu. It is spacious and inviting. I love it! It is my Dover staple. read more

It was a rainy Monday evening I don't think they were expecting a customer however I was greeted and offered a friendly welcome. I was interested in pork roll which I saw on an online menu but I did not see on the menu. I asked about it and the person who was assisting me went and asked in the back for me. Although it is normally a breakfast item they were able to accommodate my request and made it a dinner plate for me. I appreciate the effort they made to make me a happy customer. Cute and Homey diner that close to my home. Food is delicious but a little pricey for a diner. I came during breakfast . I got the monster omelette. It was huge and tasty. This is a busy place, typical diner, food, at reasonable prices. The only downside is that the owner is a right winger, who insists on playing Fox News on the TV. I've been here in the past for breakfast or a late lunch and the food has always been so-so. Husband liked it here so we decided on a Sunday afternoon meal. I had asked what the specials were beings the breakfast specials were still listed...and was told there are no specials on the weekends, so I ordered a hot sandwich with came with soup, I don't eat soup so my husband ordered the split pea. It was so thick the spoon stood up in the cup. He had ordered a salad which looked unappealing in everyway. Lettuce was brown on edges, waxy tomato. My "hot" sandwich was cold. I ordered cucumber and onion as my side had 3 slices of cucumber and onion so thickly cut you couldn't eat it. Did not notice menus, table and chair surfaces wiped down in-between customers. A quick stop into a local greasy spoon for breakfast, my least liked meal of the day :-) Ordered an omelet and it came stacked with fixins, potatoes, and buttered toast. The toast is well buttered, a bit too much for my taste but definitely too much that I couldn't enjoy it. The omelet was well cooked and a decent size. The menu for dinner offers much variety and if anything like breakfast is well worth the visit. Rating: BAE (Bacon And Eggs) were pretty good and worth the visit when in the area. read more

Ordered takeout today, easy order 2 cream chipped beef one with rye one with wheat a panini and corned beef hash. Gravy with the cream chipped beef was separating and obviously made with curdled milk (or its just super old and reheated). Wheat toast burnt, rye toast never saw a toaster. Corned beef hash burned. I try to support local, especially during these shutdowns and times of uncertainty but can't say I'll ever patronize this place again. read more

Had dinner tonight at US 13 Grill. I was approached by Pete, one of the owners, about my service dog, Gemini. The gist of what he said was that he doesn't want Gemini in his place if she isn't freshly bathed. This is the second time he's commented about her. I got the feeling that he doesn't want me bringing her into his place. It's a violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act to refuse admission to a service dog. read more

Normally I would leave good reviews however now their food has good downhill. Wife and I got stuff peppers to go and could NOT eat it. Highly over seasoned with pepper (a ton of it) on the sause and noting on the inside. Called manger to complain and said "we only have one cook" I advised his cook try some of the food before serving. After talking to the owner I was able to get a refund therefore we're satisfied. Normally the food here has always been great but can understand cutbacks are made in order to keep business afloat. Hope this was a flook and ttb things will get better as things reopen. Apparently, the boyfriend thinks this is better than the other breakfast place in town. I think it's alright, but I find the interior a bit dated and dingy - pretty standard for a diner. The menu is also not very extensive, which is alright but not what I'm used to at a diner. Food seems consistent and cheap enough to keep going back for the odd meal here and there. TVs facing every possible direction make it easy to get lost in the three games they broadcast and to ignore whomever it is you're eating your meal with, for better or for worse. read more
