Very atmospheric spot in Smyrna, great for brunch and lunch. Happy hour and daily event listing in photos below. Our food was fine and cooked properly. I got crepes with cherries and cream. There were just two preserved cherries on top, with cherry flavored whipped cream inside. I would have preferred more fruit but that's just my personal preference. Husband got the French toast combo which was also cooked well. Decaf coffees. No espresso or cappuccino drinks as machine was down. No oat milk, but almond milk available. No celery for bloody marys. Overall I'd come for the atmosphere, with the food of secondary importance.

Manhattan! In Delaware....

Great restaurant in Smyrna Delaware. It's in an old house that is decorated and has furniture from the period when the house was built which is early 20th century. It's a bit tight for an elderly person to get in and navigate but, the staff was accommodating and the food and cocktails were delicious. Definitely check them out if you happen to be in Smyrna.

A charming restaurant rich with old world ambiance and great food. This nicely preserved Victorian building is abundantly filled with antique decor and furnishings which immediately transform diners into a time period of elegance and class. The atmosphere is relaxed yet confident as the host welcomes you upon entry. Our table was set next to the fireplace, but it still felt private enough (at least for lunch). The menu allows for dietary restrictions and our server was attentive to my wife's food allergy. As an appetizer, my wife had the French onion soup which she thoroughly enjoyed. For main entry she had the Avocado toast. I opted for the seared Mahi Tuna tacos for my lunch. The portions were modest, but filling. We'll definitely return. It's refreshing to find restaurants like this (especially in this area) that properly blend an upscale dining setting with modern menu selections.

New York strip bleu cheese crostini

The New York Strip Bleu Cheese Crostini was unbelievable. Best thing I've eaten in months. And we really loved the layout and atmosphere; it felt like being invited to a dinner party at a friend's home.

They serve wine and has a full bar

It's definitely a louder establishment so not so good for a productive dinner. Service can be slow at times, but not always. The staff is generally friendly, but sometimes you'll run across someone who acts like they would rather be anywhere else The restaurant definitely needs a good cleaning floors and tables are usually sticky. We used to eat here often. I ordered food to go the last two times I was there, one night and the sign said they had a burger special, but I was told they were sold out of the burger special but I could buy a burger at regular price off the menu... I thought that was strange. The next time I checked the website and noticed they had wings on special that day. I ordered in person, but, I was told the wings were only available at that price during happy hour. The sign they had posted showed that it was all day. She then said the special was only available for dine in. Needless to say, we haven't been back for a couple months.

The restaurant definitely needs a good cleaning and update. Everything seems dated and feels like…read moreit hasn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Apparently there is also an ant problem that they are addressing in house instead of with a professional extermination company. The servers are nice and keep up small conversation. The food is just OK. We had the special that day which had very little flavor. The prices have increased, which makes sense with the economy, so that was no surprise. However, for the amount we paid, the food received, and the overall attention needed for the restaurant, we won't be going back anytime too soon...

The table and seats were clean when we arrived. The staff did not promote it, but they offer a breakfast buffet. I did not order it because I had really been craving pancakes and had hoped that the diner would curb the hankering, but sadly I was let down. I had requested the sugar-free syrup which was brought with my meal, but never have I received pancakes without a side of butter. Unfortunately, the waitress dropped and ran so fast, that I didn't get a chance to ask. I waited a few minutes for a waitress to pass, but along with others, we waited, and nobody came by. When I finally tried my pancakes, they were rubbery and hard to cut. I hate a lot of syrup, but it did help to get the food down. think I finished one of the two pancakes, but it was very lackluster and left me wanting something better. My husband had the turkey club and my son had the BLT club, both were standard fare..
