The cafe isn't the nicest place I've ever been. It needs some TLC and the coffee & tea is Keurig style. Just an FYI if you're going to Whiskers thinking it is as nice as other cat cafes you've seen, because it isn't. However, the primary purpose for its existence is to find these cats a loving home. If that's something you're interested in, then you should visit.

If you're going to get an appetizer, I would highly recommend getting the snack board to share (unfortunately this was eaten before I got to take photos). It includes delicious biscuits paired with the most perfect sausage gravy, thick cut bacon, fruit, croissant, warm donut holes, deviled eggs, and dips/jams. THEY ARE INCREDIBLE. The gravy is jaw-dropping and perfect with the texture of the biscuit -- trust me, you have to try it!!! The donut holes are fluffy and soft fritters. I also really loved the deviled eggs' flavor. For my entree, I got the breakfast pot pie (in the photo) which had the same incredible gravy and biscuit crust as the appetizer, topped with a crispy fried egg. Then she gave sh** about seating arrangements; since we wanted to split checks she ordered us to sit by how checks are being split. That's a new one... She said she would have to write separate checks... an obvuous approach... I endorse that plan smh. Wouldn't that be easier when it comes to "splitting checks" when all is said and done? To treat us as separate tables but still tack on 20% per check? As we are wrapping up dinner and everyone else was looking over dessert, I told her she could bring mine now since I have a 45 min drive back to CC and I have perishables. People are now eating their dessert and she's still fussing aroundat her kiosk. I eventually approach her and asked for mine again. She got super frustrated and unprofessional, and said us wanting to split bills is (exact words) "tumultuous." Does she even know what that word means? "I thought you wrote separate checks?" But she's trying to figure out how to split like $8 rolls among like 12 people. She was like, "Then who is paying for the rolls?" That is her job to find out. I am a guest, not the host of the party. I only know three other people there. She walks to the table and says (again..exact words), "Who's paying for the rolls?" As if we are planning on dining and dashing with basic dinner rolls. Why? Because we are a table of minorities? Had we been a table of all white, would she have asked HOW we would like to have it split? I was in the dine-in food service industry for several years. I had thought splitting checks was a very common practice, and I absolutely did NOT ask patrons to sit in specific order. White Dog in UC didn't do that either (or anywhere else). Perhaps White Castle is more within her playing field. Some courses in sensitivity training may aid in her professional development. And they wanted to charge like $4 per person since someone baked cupcakes.... reminder that most people also ordered dessert on top of all this. They can go pound the sand.

I asked the staff about it, but they weren't sure why it was no longer available. That sandwich was actually what I originally knew Llamas' Corner for after seeing it on TikTok, so I was really disappointed to see it gone. Hopefully they consider bringing it back! I also ordered two iced lattes, one with oat milk, boba, and caramel, and another with oat milk and pumpkin syrup. When I received them, both drinks had boba even though only one was supposed to. When I asked for the pumpkin drink to be remade, one of the baristas (the women in the pink long sweater) initially poured the same drink over and attempted to hand it back to me instead of making a fresh one (the bar was not busy or backed up btw.) When I asked for it to actually be remade, there seemed to be a bit of attitude. She did make a fresh drink after I specifically asked whether new espresso shots had been pulled. That part of the experience was disappointing and concerning because if someone asks for a drink to be remade due to an ingredient that wasn't ordered, simply pouring the same drink into another cup doesn't actually correct the issue. While boba wasn't an allergy concern for me personally, it made me wonder how a situation involving an actual food allergy would be handled.

The coffee selection was decent for a cat cafe with a big selection of flavor syrups to add to your drink. The little gift shop was fairly priced and had a lot of unique things. I loved the little black cat mascot, as we have a few furry voids at home. There was about 16 cats in the room when we went on a Saturday afternoon. You can tell they are well taken care of and that the staff cleans very frequently in there. With the 3 of us and the other family we had enough room that we didn't feel jammed in. There was one orange cutie that kept trying to knock my Niece's drink off the windowsill, and a precious long haired grey cat that claimed my husband's lap for the last half of the hour. We were given wet treat tubes to feed them which all the cats went nuts for and there were plenty of feather wands and toys for us to interact with the ones who wanted to play. The coal theme plays in perfectly to the area and the wagon appears to be the hang out area for the cats. It was a fun experience we plan to do again soon. It's a great cause (socializing and getting cats adopted) and the owner is obviously passionate about the mission.

Their goal is to find homes for these adorable felines and so far have placed 24 cats into forever homes in just three months. As Ron mentioned, you don't do this kind of business to get rich. I think it's more of a vocation. There is coffee and packaged treats available for sale. Not only that but a selection of T shirts, and fun toys for your favorite feline. The real stars here are the wonderful cats. I personally love how the owners tied in the Coal Region history into this modern forward thinking (in all the right ways) business. You will sign a waiver to enter (customary) the cat area. It is themed with all things Coal, like a mine decoration, pick axe and even a "coal wagon" delivery wagon (the cats seem to love it). We stopped by in passing but you may reserve time online. The number of people permitted is six maximum. The only other such cafe I knew of was in Philadelphia. I believe thanks to Covid and lockdowns that went under. The owners are enthusiastic about helping animals and customers visiting.
