Great breakfast and lunch spot. I enjoyed a giant salad and added grilled chicken and they even had a gluten free brownie. I enjoyed it so much that the next day I came back to get the seasonal latte -- brown sugar caramel and I highly recommend! The food was very fresh and the bagel was fluffy. Unfortunately, the coffee lacked flavor, and the mocha tasted like watered down hot chocolate. The staff were not very friendly. That said, it's clear the locals really enjoy this place, people were chatting and having a good time, which gave the café a pleasant atmosphere. read more

Cute and cozy space for lunch in downtown Lewes! My family stopped here in late December 2024 for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed a simple soup (chicken noodle) and salad which was a light, healthy meal. Be sure to ask about the daily soup option if it's a cold day! For service, you order at the window and pay first (cafeteria style), and then sit down at an open table. One downside during the colder months is the limited seating indoors (better for couples or small groups). On rainy or cold days, I would recommend visiting during non-peak times if you prefer to sit inside. The location is tucked just behind the Main Street - but it's a stone's throw from St. Peter's Church (which has an old historic cemetery) that is easily visible and close to the Biblion Used Book Store. If you search for 'coffee shop' in Lewes there aren't too many options, but this is a decent spot for a grab and go iced coffee. They have a very small, cute outdoor porch to chill for a bit if you're lucky enough to grab a seat. The cashier seemed like she was completely over it, but after a brief observation of the patrons - who could blame her. read more

Very cute place to stop. Had a long menu of different drinks and food. I got a matcha boba tea with almond milk and strawberry boba and it was delicious. The service was fast even tho they were busy. The inside is alittle small but definitely worth it. They do have seating outside so it isn't as crowded inside. Will definitely stop again. read more

Picture perfect breakfast nook that packs a punch with a tasty menu of breakfast fare and beverages. I was pleasantly surprised by both the menu range and seating offered by this petite place. The customizable breakfast sandwich is top notch: your choice of bread and cheese, and there's also meat options to add to eggs. The coffee is also excellent, and there is a small selection of bakery pastries. If you don't take your food to go, there are a few small tables inside and a bench outside, plus a small park gazebo surrounded by flowers across the parking lot. Came here for lunch before heading to Cape Henlopen :) due to Covid 19 we could only do take out. The inside looked very nice and cute! I got the salmon BLT and a frozen lavender lemonade. The salmon BLT was delicious. Plenty of smoked salmon and fresh veggies. I wish there was a little more garlic aioli on the sandwich but it was still pretty good! The frozen lavender lemonade was refreshing and tart. It went well with my sandwich :) loved it! I would def. Come back next time I'm Lewes for lunch! read more

A tiny, tastefully appointed eatery tucked away in Lewes. We just stumbled across it for lunch while walking the downtown area. The panini were excellent and the coffee, surprisingly, was one of the best cups I've ever had. Really! I eat here often and always hear great things about the bubble teas ..the Salads are always fresh !!! As for the few negative comments on here about the bubble teas which all places do them differently , and the owner /chef making employees cry. ?? It's a very small family owned and operated business and have never heard anyone yelling ! I eat there 2X a week .. so not sure where that would of come from. Go get lunch or breakfast ! It's good Fresh food ! I purchase gift cards for this place for my clients and they alway come back raving about olive and oats !! Tell them i sent ya for the cafe salad with shrimp and saffron dressing !! Yum yum read more

Adorable storefront in Lewes with a nice variety of breakfast pastries, bagels and drinks to start off the day! Paid parking spots right in front made it easy for us to get here. ($1 an hour) The shop itself is very small but with a good amount of seating indoors and outside for customers to squeeze into. I enjoyed a soy hot chocolate (milk alternatives are 75 cents extra and they also have almond ) and hubby enjoyed his cold brew which has a great taste We both ordered the baked oatmeal with soy milk. It was choc full of raisins and very delicious and filling. I couldn't even finish mine! A great hearty way to start the day. read more

This is a really cute cafe/breakfast shop in downtown Lewes in a slightly hidden spot closer to the water! They have a lot of different drink options, including coffees, smoothies and bubble tea! They also have breakfast pastries, sandwiches, parfaits and bagels. I really enjoyed my bagel and lox and don't mind that it was deconstructed so I had to put it together. They also have outdoor seating with a great view, so it's a nice place to stop by if you're in need of a quick breakfast or lunch! read more

Love coming here for coffee dates with my husband! But recently I ordered the steak sandwich they had as a special and my only feedback would be the steak was under seasoned if not really seasoned at all so the sandwich itself was bland. I only got veggies and no cheese so if you get cheese on it it might be a bit more flavorful but overall I'd tough the steak up a bit read more

Very cute little store with a few tables available inside. Theres a cute gazebo just outside with nice flowers and many outdoor places to sit. I ordered a medium iced latte with oat milk to go. Prices are very reasonable ($4.75) and the service was quick and good. The latte was okay, the espresso tasted strong/slightly burnt. Overall I would definitely try it again and order some food. read more

I ordered a black soy milk bubble tea and it was just straight up soy milk with soggy, falling apart tapioca pearls in a 12oz cup for $5.00. They shouldn't advertise bubble tea when they don't know how to make it. I tossed it right out in front of the building. read more

As soon as you walk in, you can feel that polished, higher end atmosphere, and the canal views make for a really nice setting. For $36 you get a six ounce filet mignon, a crab cake, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a Caesar salad. For a restaurant of this caliber, that's a pretty solid deal. The Caesar salad came out fresh and crisp, and for the first time ever I noticed something you rarely see anymore -- two small sardine strips on top, which is actually the traditional way to serve a true Caesar. The entree was nicely plated. The filet was ordered medium. Parts of it were cooked perfectly and very tender, though a couple bites were a little chewy. The crab cake was the highlight. Very meaty with minimal filler, which is exactly what you want this close to the Delaware coast. Mashed potatoes had that homemade style with a few lumps. Some people love that rustic feel, though I personally prefer them a little smoother. The green beans were simply steamed but had great flavor. Service was excellent. My waitress Kim was friendly, attentive, and very accommodating. The restaurant itself was clean and well kept, including the restrooms. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with great flavor across the board. I'd definitely come back and would be curious to see what the atmosphere is like here during the busy summer season.

I say go get a steak at rare or 1776 or harvest tides. Service was excellent. Ambiance was charming.

Inside they sell quite a bit of Surf Bagel merchandise, which gives it a fun local vibe beyond just being a bagel counter. I included a few photos because the shop has a cool look to it. I stopped in around 9 in the morning and it was still pretty busy, even during the off season. That tells me this place probably gets packed during the summer months. Overall, everything was fresh, the staff was nice, and it's definitely a place I'd stop at again when I'm in the area.

Olive and Oats is always a delightful treat! Their salads and sandwiches are fresh and abundant! Their atmosphere is cozy and cute, and the service efficient and quick if in a hurry....or not and just want to take your time . It's a small little place, tucked away behind Kings Ice Cream, in old Lewes. If you want something reasonably priced, super fresh and delicious this is a wonderful little find!
