After completing a cat scan and ultrasound at Quest Radiology, it was too late to purchase 4 dozen roses, baby breaths and fillers at the Flower Mart downtown. I googled fresh flowers and Garden District Flowers came up as the closest to my location and opened for another hour. I was approached by an employee and I told her I needed 4 dozen of the single stem roses but needed a moment to decide on what colors to choose, when she came over and I told her what colors I wanted she replied, "they are $4.50 a stem, before I start taking them out." To humor her, I asked her to do the math on a calculator to give me the price on the 4 dozen roses and she did, I asked her if they sold baby breaths and she said they have to be pre-ordered with all fillers. I suggest that if she is going to make the assumption that the customer will not be able to afford what they are wanting to purchase then a more tactful approach should be used on informing the customer of the price or maybe don't make assumptions in the first place. My total purchase was over $300 and then I went to Alberstons and spent another $200 on baby breaths and fillers for my arrangements. Worst case scenario if I change my mind at the register after being told the total purchase price then all she would have to do is simply walk a few feet and put them back in the buckets of water... read more

Mothers Day GDF charged me $69.00 for a bouquet that consisted of 9 tulips in a vase, it did include delivery. I've seen nicer arrangements at Ralph's at a 1/3 of the cost I wish I could post the picture no one would disagree with me.
