I should have listened to the reviews. I spent $270 on a funeral stand arrangement, expecting a beautiful, full tribute for a service. Please be warned: the pictures online are not what you get. What showed up was tiny, had very few flowers, and looked like it cost $75 at most. It was deeply disappointing to see such poor quality at a funeral. I didn't want to be disrespectful by taking photos in the middle of a church service, but I regret trusting this shop with such an important order. Save your money and go somewhere else that respects their customers and the occasion. read more

I was very disappointed with the flowers provided by Garden Gate Floral. I ordered a casket spray for my grandmother's funeral and both my grandfather and relatives commented about the fact that many of the flowers were wilted during the service, less than one day after they were delivered. I understand that flowers can wilt quickly, however it is upsetting to pay almost $400 for an arrangement and for it to be browning and wilting upon arrival at the church. They did share a photo of what the flowers looked like upon their delivery to the funeral home, and while it looked better I did notice that some of the flowers were already showing signs of wilting. I was informed that this could have occurred during transfer or while at the funeral home, but it was nonetheless disappointing. This is what they looked like on the day of the funeral, and this is the response I received from my customer service representative when I messaged her pictures of the arrangement. Their response was very defensive, and I felt like my concerns were dismissed. In my view, this was extremely poor customer service. Emotions run high during times of grief so if you are looking for compassionate customer service, I would advise looking elsewhere. read more

I usually don't do reviews. But feel I must for here. I live in NY so ordering flowers online for my family in Morganton has always been tricky & just never quite meet expectation. However, I'm glad to have stumbled upon Garden Gate Floral. I ordered online sent to my parents for their anniversary. Beautiful. I highly recommend. Great Service. Amazing arrangements. My husband and I were very disappointed with the roses that he had gotten me for our anniversary/valentines. First of all, we did not get the flowers till almost 9:00pm, which I was trying to be understanding since it was valentines. We was at least expecting to receive a lot nicer, bigger arrangement for what the price was. It looked like it was just haphazardly arranged. I called the owner to let her know that we were not happy with them, considering what they cost. She was defensive about the situation. We placed a flower order with Garden Gate for a funeral service, and instructed the employee we'd like an arrangement in the $100-120 range. We were shocked when we arrived at the church and saw a small vase of flowers with our name on it. While the arrangement was beautiful, it definitely was not worth the final cost of $143.05. The flowers might have been worth half the cost. I did check with the florist to make sure that the correct arrangement was delivered, and was assured that the flowers and charge were correct. read more

Ok... this place is amazing!! Ask for Carey! She is a beautiful artist and is so genuinely sweet. My friend told me about the beautiful bouquets she orders from Garden Gate. Hands down the best work I've seen. I ordered my bridal bouquet and some other flowers and they were all breathtaking. I promise you, you will not be sorry. I ordered flowers for my sister-in-law. I live in Baltimore and she lives in Autryville, NC. Garden Gate took the order and then called back in about an hour and said they did not deliver to Autryville. They said that they would credit the account. No problem, right? Wrong. The did not credit the account. I called twice and was told it would be taken care of. It was not. Now I have to dispute the charge with the credit card company. The credit card company will fix this, I am sure. However Garden Gate should have taken care of it on their own in a timely manner. It only took them 1 minute to charge the credit card. read more

Being new to town on your wife's birthday is tough-- you don't know where to shop for presents, where to take her for a truly special meal, or where to get one's lady some flowers. Well, now I know where I'll be getting her flowers until death do us part (or she sobers up & divorces me, at which point I'll be sure to stop by before each first date). First, the people who work there are friendly and understanding-- I placed my order while driving a load of kids to school, meaning I couldn't give my CC #. "That's no problem... just give us a call back when you get a minute." Also, they had all her favorites in stock and fresh from the earth. Most importantly, the arrangement was beautiful enough to evoke feelings generally reserved for shiny muscle cars or a stolen kiss. My wife literally took it with her from room to room, unwilling to let the daffodils, tulips, and hyacinths out of her sight.
