This year I promised myself I wouldn't miss out on them so I went there about 3 pm on the first day they were opened for the season. Well, I'm soooooo glad I did because they only had about 10 left, and I needed 4! I got 2 geraniums $(28/each) and 2 Boston ferns ($25/each), and they are huge and beautiful! They didn't have much variety of other plants for planting in the ground...Marigolds, geraniums, petunias, herbs, a few tomato plants and 3 meadow sage (of which I bought 2)...so that was a little disappointing, but all the plants they did have looked very healthy and hearty. I'll come back in a few weeks to check out what else they've got.

Equal to Stadler's, better than Abernathy & Spencer, all at much more reasonable prices. There's even perennials and annuals for your gardening pleasure. If I owned a plant nursery, I'd like to think I would run it the way these folks do this one. Focusing on quality over quantity, friendly service, all in a laid back, backyard kind of feel. Nothing's been over-fertilized to force it to bloom early (a trick used by a lot of nurseries to get you to buy the "pretty flowering plants"). This only results in disappointment when you realize your new plant has spent all of its energy producing flowers and none developing roots. Hint: don't be fooled by that trick. Buy from a reputable nursery, such as Ellmore's, and have better, healthier plants. It's a hidden gem just a bit down the little road beside Lowry's Crab Shack. Make sure you shop here first for your ferns, herbs, vegetable plants, perennials, etc. you won't be disappointed.

The selection of trees has been good. They are fresh and have last way past Christmas. The prices are in line with other local nurseries. We usually pickup a Frazier fir. We are so happy we came here. Jesse was awesome to work with. He helped us with selection, planted all bushes and trees (over 20 trees and bushes) and had the beds cut in and mulched. She is actually educated in plants so she really knows what she is talking about. Chris can also answer just about any question you have as well, but watch out as he is passionate about this stuff and will end up talking you into about a dozen other plants you didn't know you " needed".

Took my family here for a cut your own Christmas tree. The men working there were very nice, they…read morehad a decent selection of trees and their price was pretty good as compared to other local farms ($75 for up to 10' while many other farms are charging $95 and up). Of course, for that $20 savings you don't get much by way of frills...they don't have a shaker to remove loose needles prior to pulling it through the baler, and their manual tree baler is in their barn rather than outside. Which wouldn't be a problem, except the barn has a dirt floor with leaked petroleum on it, so when they dragged the tree across the floor to the baler, it covered one side of the tree with greasy dirt.
