I was worried since I rarely get a true rare steak. Yes there are times, I send them back As a former steak house manager, I watch services in the restaurant with a different viewpoint. My Caesar salad was served in a chilled bowl and the romaine was nice and crunchy. Soon our entrees started arriving. I could only imagine the "controlled chaos" that was going on in the kitchen, especially with a full House out front. Normally, at a steak house they'll ask you to cut into your steak to test for doneness. I knew right away, my steak wasn't rare. It's tough to cook rare steak that is only 1/2" thick. And yes, I should have said something when the platter was placed in front of me but I didn't. The ribeye was medium rare to medium. I just didn't have the heart to speak up knowing how busy they were. My baked potato was perfect.. For dessert, my sister had chocolate cake for her birthday and I had the margarita pie topped with a mango salsa. It was the highlight of my meal.
