This is everything I love about LA! Always available, professional, nicely appointed, and excellent service. I did a yelp search and found a place with five stars five minutes from where I was staying in Glendale. Without a care in the world I was whisked into a room with beautiful lighting and curtains and given a wonderful foot reflexology massage with back and the rest of your body included. It was a mere $35 for 60 minutes. Everywhere I have been in California it is almost double that now after Covid. I went back and forth on writing this review but... ultimately... The facility has either mold or water stains on the very badly papered walls. They had me waiting for over 15 minutes past my appointment time. And the guy who worked on me was just abysmal. I had to ask him several times to ease up. He didn't massage so much as fiercely press fingers into sore muscles. It was not relaxing and I am as tight or tighter than before. No one was rude, customer service was fine, and I don't like leaving negative reviews if I haven't been treated badly but I found myself wishing I had stopped the massage or just left when I noticed the mold. We found her on Groupon and it was only $30 dollars - well worth the quality and extensive service we got! We even got head and back massages! When she showed up our faces after the treatment, we looked flawless! Not a single blackhead or pore to be seen - very very happy! The massage was also very enjoyable. $35 for an hour back and foot massage. We love hard pressure and they gave us exactly that! They used different lotions and oils on different parts of our body and gave us a good rubdown. We both left feeling completely stress free and happy that we opted to get the massages in addition to the facial. We had just got massages from a different place the night prior (told you we like our massages) and this place was definitely top of the line. Came to this place because my go to massage place was fully booked so I figured I try this place as I always wanted to try. I made an appointment. It started good, I got my room, quiet cozy place and clean. My masseur came and started my massage however after short time things got a bit tense in this place. For entire hour my masseur left my room six times, one time was for bringing hot towels but the other five I have no idea why, all I could hear was chatting outside about some issue they were having about a customer. It was about an angry customer, I don't want to go into details but bottom line is that is not my problem. I booked my time and I should get my massage properly. Every time she would leave my room and come back I could feel the stress and her tension when massaging me. That is NOT OK, I'm here to relax and I feel stressed when the masseur is feeling stressed. Yes, her stress was perhaps because of a customer as she left my room five times but again not my problem. Staff are all over the place and not organised. If you don't have staff then don't take walk ins, if you book appointments then make sure you have staff fully covered for one client. read more

I've been too many of these type of massage places and I've never had a situation where the person giving me a massage was actually answering phones during my massage. Another weird thing I noticed was that, she would actually speak to her coworker multiple times behind the curtains. Because of those distractions, I wasn't able to shut down and relax and enjoy the soft spa music that was playing in the background. I also noticed that on there yelp page it says $25 for a foot massage for an hour long but when I went inside, it said $35. I try and get massages monthly, but on this particular occasion it was my second massage in the course of a week. The massage I had at Garden Massage was far more impressive than what I experienced at the upscale, expensive spa I'd visited earlier in the week. I called ahead and booked an appointment, so immediately upon walking in the door the lady at the front desk greeted me by first name, and she continued to address me as such whenever she spoke to me. It was honestly really charming and a nice touch. The masseuse was very skilled. She expertly applied the right amount of pressure to my very knotted back. It was intense but super effective. She managed to work on most of my body in the hour I was there, with no one area receiving more attention than the other. It was perfection. I'm super impressed by this place and will absolutely be back. The price is phenom, and the service is beyond excellent. PSA- please tip your masseuse well. Just because the massage is cheap, it doesn't mean you have to be cheap with your tip. They do a great job, please recognize it. read more

I just had my first massage here - their packages are all extremely reasonable in price. $20 for a 1-hour reflexology massage, which included all parts of the body (scalp, neck, shoulders, back, legs, arms), with a good amount of time spent on the feet. The masseuse was very thorough and professional, using firm pressure throughout, and taking his time with each part of the body. The facility is basic but inviting, with soft lighting, calm music, and a curtain dividing the reception area from the massage tables - about 4 of them in one room, with a more private area in the back. The staff is lovely and accommodating. And I left feeling amazing! The masseuse dissolved all my neck tension, I felt like I was glowing. Highly recommend! Two years ago, I've had the worst massage of my life at this establishment. Not only did it leave me in pain for months, it also spurred the slew of other health issues. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. After much paperwork, this spa relocated and is in business at the new location with the same highly skilled and pleasant people. I have been getting massages from Coco for 4 or more years and from Lisa when they first opened a spa in Glendale. Both ladies are very talented therapists. A massage session with either of them is a very relaxing experience. Much better than most spas I have been to. Do Not Go. They are not professional. The older Asian lady that was doing my massage seemed bitter and seemed like she was cursing at me in her language while she was giving me a massage!! She would respond VERY rude and would aggressively move my head around while she was massaging my upper back!! Not to mention she had Long Nails that would digging into my skin while she was massaging aggressively! I realized when I got home and looked in the mirror to see scratches all over my back, places I can't really reach so I know it was her! Lastly, they pulled over the curtain that is a divider between me and the next person over, to invite them into my side, without asking me!! I was facing down at the time and couldn't see what was happening but heard a lot of noise. After my massage was over, I got up and saw someone next to me getting a massage!!! Decided to give this place a try since it had good reviews. Big mistake , one of the worst couple massage ever . Loud construction noise outside . Massage felt very rush, seem like they didn't know what they were doing . One of the lady's kept walking out of the room more then 3x. Then they switch persons on me without even letting me know if it was ok. First it was a women then all of a sudden a male was giving me the massage . After when it was time to pay, I didn't have enough cash, so I was going to tip by card and the lady kept telling me " that's all for 90 minutes " keep pressuring me to give her more money for tip. I thought that was very unprofessional. When the 90 min massage wasn't even a full 90 min it had many interruptions. Worst massage of my life. I went in at 9:30 for a 60 min massage, called ahead to make sure that was ok. Male massage guy, had no clue what he was doing.
