One of the best massages I've had on a very long time- and I get massages every other month. This was my first visit to Oak Massage. I had a 60min foot/body massage for $50 + tip. Every penny worth the experience. I've paid $100+ for a 60 min at expensive, fancy spas, but my experience with Linda was exceptional! Things to keep in mind, Linda puts her entire body weight on her clients. Her hands are soft but so strong. She got deep in my connective tissues and kneaded the fork out of the tension in my neck and shoulders and feet. She massaged my buttocks, which I didn't mind because she asked me first. My glutes and hamstrings released a lot of if you don't feel comfortable with this, just say no. If you're ok with it, I highly recommend! WARNING: another masseuse complained about the tip she received from her client while I was in the lobby. The previous complaints about this are true. Linda was fine with me but I also gave her a 50% tip because she did a great job and it's the holidays. I guess don't be a shotty tipper. Massaging is hard work. The massage was great. They had trouble using Apple Pay and assumed I couldn't pay. I had to show my account to them and then they let me use another method. The owner was called due to language barrier. Once I paid, the owner apologized for the inconvenience. After the massage, I left a tip on via the same method, the masseuse seemed unhappy, she called the owner and fussed about the tip, not sure if it was the amount or that I did not have cash. I've been going to this place for several years and have had some good and one very bad experience. Never had major issues with lady masseuses but about 6 months ago, I had a male masseuse entering the room. He was short and very quiet. I'm assuming that he didn't speak English. I told him that I have issues with my neck and upper back. He started the massage and mainly concentrated on my ass after lowering my underwear. I was extremely uncomfortable and a couple of times pointed out to go up to my neck area the best I could. He didn't care and continued massaging my butt. He was breathing loud too and was disgusting. I couldn't wait for that hour to end. He also had the audacity to wait for his tip. After I left the place, I called and spoke to the owner. I told her what happened and she shamelessly said they never had that kind of problem before. Obviously, she was lying as I'm reading comments from other people who have had similar issues. Needless to say, I was telling my friend about this experience and she told me that she also had the same kind of experience at the same place. She described the same short and quiet guy who breathes on you while touching you in the areas he isn't suppose to. Also, the masseuses here aren't grateful when you tip them. The ladies here are so sweet and took great care of me when I came in on short notice to get a full body and foot massage. I work on my feet all day almost everyday at 2 different restaurants and my body was getting very sore and stiff. My masseuse was had very good rhythm and gave just the right amount of pressure, probably could have even handled more pressure. She was very consistent and checked that I was ok with the heat of the hot stones and hot towel. Place itself is very clean, has a nice relaxing mood right when you walk in. I would recommend for a very straight forward just all around relaxing massage. This place used to be my regular to go to. I am disappointed that two of my favorite masseuse (Cece and Jenny) are gone. Came here closer to closing time, I have high expectation that I'll get a good massage after a long tiring day. My Masseuse this time was new to me. Never had problem with Tony, another masseuse that's also great. He still works there but he left for the night. This time it's another guy, didn't get his name because he doesn't talk much. I felt a little uncomfortable because he was breathing too loud, scratching his skin, wears his air-pods to listen to music, doesn't apply too much oil so when he rubs my back its dry, massaging closely to my private parts, felt cold the entire session, there was no proper temperature in the room or at least cover me with 2 towels as he saw me shivering. Told him to apply more pressure but I don't think he understood what I said. Yes, I am aware that this place speaks limited english and they are always nice, but this time my masseuse gave me the most unpleasant massage. He was just rubbing lotion/oil on my back. I didn't feel this place is well sanitized especially that there's a pandemic going on. The bed where you put your head in a hole smells dusty and disgusting. The prices also went up which I think it's not worth it. You pay more for not getting good service. I didn't mind paying cause like I said they have good reputation to me. It is a turn off that after you finished your massage, the masseuse awaits you by the exit, who EXPECTS A TIP! You can't expect a tip knowing that you did a sloppy job, I get it I am the last customer and probably he was tired already but everyone should get the same treatment like the other customers before me or maybe he did sloppy job with those people too. I feel like the owner needs to educate everyone in this place with better customer service. Communication is a key in any business, they should educate their employees to communicate better and provide better service, so they can attract more customers. I'm never going back to this place. Came to this place because my cousin was taking her exam for cosmetology. Since I had slept in the car for about 3 hours, not thinking it was going to be an half day exam I decided to come here and get a massage. The place was in a cute plaza with lots of parking available. It was nice on the inside and each chair/table had it's own room. I was so happy until half way into my massage I was woken up to walk across the hallway to another room to get the other half of my massage. What a bummer. She had me so gone/relaxed that when I got up I had a hard time finding my shoes and getting back relaxed. That's the only thing I didn't like, other than that mishap it felt great. I wish I knew her name and although, I blame the owner for not getting their Feng shui in order, I tipped her very well. Unfortunately, because I did have to get up half way into my massage and go in another room to finish the other side of my body... I will not be returning. My husband recommended Oak Massage and I have been coming for about a year now. I have found a lot of healing from this place. When I had chronic fatigue last year, I would come and get massages and feel recharged. It was like the massage would recharge my inner battery a little bit each time. The ladies here played a big part in helping my recovery. Now I'm bringing my daughter every week to get a massage. She has had chronic knee pain and she always feels better after getting a massage. Not only does it reduce the pain on her knees, but she feels completely relaxed. I also wanted to share that I came in today for a 90 minute massage with a level 6 back pain and left with zero back pain. This place is worth every penny to me to improve my health. A huge plus is that the massages are very affordable. I'm very grateful that the prices have stayed reasonable, this has allowed me to get massages more often and even bring my daughter. The masseuses here work very hard and they have always been kind and respectful. I have always been able to communicate with my masseuse with words and hand gestures and gotten by, but you can always download a translation app if you want to communicate better with your masseuse. This place is not fancy, but it is clean, very quiet, the masseuse's are kind, the massages are effective and it's very affordable which makes it sustainable to come regularly. My masseuse was Steven & he was wonderful! He did the 60 min foot/body massage and hit all my pain spots, especially on my neck & my hips. I try to not leave negative reviews but honestly, this place was a shit hole and i just had to leave one. My husband and I came here on Presidents day which was one a monday to get couples massage. We were walk ins and they were quite with no customers except us. We walked in and we're looking at their menu and one of the women came out to see us. Before we were able to decide, she started to tell us what we should get. Excuse me missy but I'm gonna make that decision,not you. When we finally went into the rooms, they took their sweet time to get their stuff ready. Not only did they start us 20 mins late and also kept walking in and out of the room which was so irritating cause I'm trying to relax. My husband and i were in the same room and as you can imagine, theres 2 women in there. The entire time they're whispering and laughing quietly. i can't make this shit up. Then the AC starts to work and it makes a loud sound which scared the shit out of me. Five minutes later, my lady walks out and doesn't come back until 3 minutes later. At this point I'm getting really frustrated but trying to keep my cool cause a bitch needs to relax. Next thing i hear is a dog barking INSIDE THE PARLOR. Not sure what a dog is doing in there but honestly at this point my relaxation is out the window and all i can think of is wtf is going on. Fast forward, when she starts to massage me, she pulls my panties down. If i wanted them off, i would have done that myself. As for the massage, it was okay. nothing amazing, i came out feeling exactly how i felt; tired and miserable. So basically 90 minutes of just being caressed and stroked. Not to mention they wrapped up 5 minutes before the time was up despite starting late and walking in and out constantly. Would i recommend this place? No i wouldn't. im sorry to say that the massages have gotten progressively weaker with different ppl. One woman I had with short hair I could hardly feel her light touch on my skin. not healing at all. and one man- almost as soft, once did a lot of work on my back and kept suggesting that rather than the 20.00 massage I get the 25.oo back massage and when I did he didnt have any of the force he did before. there was also an incident about tipping whcih was odd. one time I asked for change and was given enough only that gave them a ten dollar tip, and then he walked away. rather than argue i passively left, chalking it up to cultural differences. at a later time there was an arguement of a returning costomer who was trying to give a two dollar tip, and was given some sort of issue. she then brought up that they had over charged her another time , giving themselves a ten dollar tip. the woman said repeatedly " do you know that tipping is OPTIONAL? " (my hero) and the store owner said "we work hard" and the woman said" then charge more or say a ten dollar tip is manditory" apparently she had gotten the soft female massuse and i dont blame her. We went to get a $20 foot massage which was supposed to be a good deal but the massage was more like someone caressing you very gently and half-heartedly which really isn't what you want. And when it was over and it was time to pay, they DEMANDED a 25% tip for lousy service. My brother wanted his $10 broken into change so he could tip the lady $5 (which is more than 25% of 20 by the way) and she just brazenly gave him back just $3 for change. They basically glared at us and demanded tip for a very poor job. Lousy service and lousy people. Never going back there again. After an underwhelming $20 foot massage, I made my $20 payment and then I gave them $10 to break down for tips. When I checked how much they gave back, they only gave me $3 back. They took the liberty of taking $7 as tip. And when I confronted them, they glared at me demanding that tips should be at least 25%. 25%of $20 is not $7. And no one in the right mind would tip 25% for a job poorly done. They refused to give me back my change and kept the $7. I decided to just let them keep it if they wanted tips that badly. Other times she was very repetitive and rough in the completely wrong places(directly on my hip bone and spine). It just didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing. Oak massage means well but is a bit of a miss. I have gone three times now and each time I want it to improve and it just doesn't. The massages themselves are fairly standard. Nothing remarkable, good or bad. The problem is ambiance. I get its a more affordable place but when you look through the massage table hole and there is trash on the floor under the table, or they keep stopping to help each other with the credit card machine it's hard to relax.
